Krytos Posted September 7, 2004 Posted September 7, 2004 Personally, I think if a book is good - it's still good no mater who wrote it. In most cases, I don't read the author's name until after I finish it, if at all. Mind you, I'm pretty selective on what I read based on topic - I like my Sci-fi books, especially Star Wars and Battletech, as well as some war epics and some biographies. Other books usually get recomended to me. http://img146.imageshack.us/img146/1778/reloadedbannerdu8.gifhttp://img152.imageshack.us/img152/1333/3dartistbanneranimationws1.gifhttp://img154.imageshack.us/img154/4026/rebellionbannerdi2.gif
Barkoa Posted September 8, 2004 Author Posted September 8, 2004 Well Scath, I wouldn't be surprised if there were some people who did it consciously! "Be at peace, for the force is my ally and I shall not let anything happen out of my contol."-Barkoa
Grand_Admiral_Thrawn Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Most people tend to go against the old addage, and judge a book by its cover. That's why cover art has been steadily improving over the years. Unless I know I liek the author, I tend to avoid books that have a boring cover. History is on the move, Captain. Those who cannot keep up with it will be left behind, to watch from a distance. And those who stand in our way will not watch at all.
Mad78 Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Its true that boting covers don't really actract us as much. http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Guest Scathane Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Well Scath, I wouldn't be surprised if there were some people who did it consciously! I bet there are... my argument, however, was made to put forth the notion that not all we do, we do consciously. In fact, there are a lot of things we do unconsciously and deny doing consciously... or consciously deny doing... or... er... I'm going to shut up now...
Barkoa Posted September 9, 2004 Author Posted September 9, 2004 Well put! "Be at peace, for the force is my ally and I shall not let anything happen out of my contol."-Barkoa
Phytho Posted October 8, 2004 Posted October 8, 2004 I'll double that. But I totally agree with Scathane lots of things people do is sub-consious and only the people who's subconsious mind has faild actually make all their desisions consiously.
Darth_Officer Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 my favorite jedi is ME!!! only I can fulfill the requirements of a powerful jedi.
Mad78 Posted October 9, 2004 Posted October 9, 2004 I prefer the Rapora http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
Paul Posted October 10, 2004 Posted October 10, 2004 I am not really into that stuff. But to each his or her own.-Grand Moff Conway
Phytho Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 That sort of people would be the people whose consious brain cannot connect to their small brain (which is the sub-consious mind). People who are like this live a life where they even have to think about how to take every single step. Any way most sith are realy cool in their force power usage mainly because they dont restrict themselves to what sort of powers they can use.
Mad78 Posted October 12, 2004 Posted October 12, 2004 Yes but thats how they finally disappeared. Their hole comunity was based on treason. In trhe end the hole community disappeared because of internal conflicts http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Palpycard.gifhttp://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a359/Mad78/Spamkinguserbarcopy.jpgCLICK HERE IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!!!Click here is you like Trance
