Sorry, I missed this post Mad

It was done with an omnilight source and volumetric light plus some noise. You put an omni light into an engine (or equivalent), set the far attenuation to a suitable distance and give it the volumetric environment effect. You need to play with the settings to get things right, from density to the noise etc. though once you've got one to work, the rest are easy

mokay

THX Krytos. i am trying to make a decent effect for my animation any Particles take a hell of alot of time to render. (especially for my crappy pc)

Admiral Akbar had no grasp of the irony of his words:

Edit: This can't be that hard to figure....

What are they looking at?

...."It's a trap!"

only it's a tap...

...and there's an Imperial in the midst...so the Imps have a tap...

..perhaps it's an English-language thingy...

I get it!!!

After re-installing Steam and Hlaf-Life 2, this one really spoke to me:

I always knew there was some hidden camera in that damn council

It might look silly, but just guess what kind of face expression Yoda had after the scouttrooper guy bouncing in circle....

Haha, nice one GAT - funnily enough, I've experienced nearly everything that GIF said (except the lag)

Those 12 year old kids yelling "Haxor" and that crap over their mics during the game just really bugs me to no end . . .

good ones people

Actually guys, I didn't do the last one (and forgot to point this out) the link was encoded so to prevent linking (why? ), so I just hosted it myself to get around this.

Anyway, I found some excellent EPIII SPOILER stuff showing how Palpatine was corrupted to the Dark Side. It can be found by clicking here

----------

I used an earlier gif as source (you may have noticed) but experimented with blending options to get the blue glow, perhaps we can assume Palpatine used a little force-energy to motivate the dancer...

...

Core! How corrupting!!!
