May 15, 200422 yr Covell is in the original Thrawn trilogy, so he survives. I'm not sure about Veers, but I don't think he is ever shown dying in ESB.

May 15, 200422 yr Veers would never sit in an AT-ST when he had command over the whole AT-AT group on Hoth (and won the battle!). He was probably in an AT-AT on Endor as well, but those weren't in the fighting scenes. May 15, 200422 yr Veers supposedly died on Hoth after Hobbie's Snowspeeder crashed on the Blizzard 1. (TESB Novelization)Both survived, Hobbie spent a while in Bacta Tanks and Veers lost the use of his legs, he was present at Endor and was evacueted from there and kept kicking around. With Vader's death he had no connection to the upper echelons of the Imperial Command Structure and was assigned to Carida.
