Preety much yeah, alot of Americans got really PO'd when we wouldn't support the war against Iraq. There was also something in he papers after 9/11 that the CIA wanted to change Canada's Immigration policies. And living in Toronto, Canada's most "Americanized" city, I see alot of American influence every day.

But it's not just that, with the current events, it is obvious that the U.S. has come to the point of arrogance (sorry if offend anyone) where they believe that if you do not agree with them then you are wrong and evil. The imposition of your opinion upon others is the true evil, where people who do not agree are made to look evil. Well, I think most (or at least some) of you know what I'm talking about. And as Trej said, it doesn't have to do with the seperation of Church and State, but the imposition of opinions and the forcing of patriotism on others. Isn't that known as indoctrination and the subjection of freedom(s)?... Welcome to the world of being Canadian.

Let's just say that through private observations and information from friends in the Navy, for promotion--the majority of the time--it's who you know...not what you know. This is quite evident in the fact that I know of a Naval liutenenant who was passed over the next rank of lieutenant commander even though he worked the longest hours out of anyone in his office, completed everyone of the requirements for both lieutenant commander and commander, and was the only man of his rank to have a doctorate degree.... That must really irk his noodle

I agree that more favorite characters will end up dying, but I don't think that Luke will be one of them. It's not wise to kill off THE main character in the SW universe, and lets face it, Luke is that character. I think you have all missed the most obvious character choice to die...HAN SOLO. Think about it, 1: He's getting to old for this kind of stuff. 2: His luck can't go on forever. 3: He hasn't been the same since Chewie and Anakin died. 4: Harrison Ford wanted him killed off at the end of ROTJ. 5: The Galactic Alliance needs something to really piss them off, and lite a fire under their asses, and what better to do that than the death of the universes favorite Smuggler turned General turned Husband to a princess. All the signs are there, just no one is looking at them.

I think that Rise of the Sith; or Rise of the Empire would be good choices. They both showwho is really in power in the universe.

I think that that is just sad.

I chose Noghri as well, for the simple fact that I would be more afraid of a Noghri than a Wookie. I would like to say though, that I would trust my life with either of these two species. The Wookie life debt, and it's Noghri equivelant (sp?) do not stop at the individual with that debt. You see this in the NJO when after hearing of Chewie's death, his nephews want to protect the Solo family because they feel that the debt has not been repaid, as well with the Noghri, I've lost count of all the different bodyguards the Leia has had throughout the different books. I just wanted to show the amount of respect that I have for both of these noble ane honorable species... I'll shut up now.

At a high school level ROTC (Reserve Officer Training Corps, so those who don't know won't ask...again) summer camp, they took us into a gas chamber and my best friend (who later turned out to be my company executive officer) ended up doing the same thing. It was great!!! Finally, someone who can relate on just how funny that really is

I think that it was either the second or third book, I can't remember which because they all start to blend together after a while.

It has nothing to do with Gammoreasn, I just feel that the original trilogy are the best movies ever, and would be impossible to out do.
