I just wondered if anyone here watchs this amazing show, if been watching it for sometime now and just finished watching episode 18, i have to say its one of the best shows i've seen in along time

yeah, its just a shame they dont look as sexy as the new series, btw has anyone tried the hw2 battlestar galactica mod? must say im really impressed.

more isnt always better anyways, all the mod needs is a few ships for the rebels just to even things up abit plus a few extra for the imperials.

yeah i really liked it, i have no doubt as to empire wining, besides i doubt anything in the battle star galactica universe could deal with anything larger than a Imperator, would have been cool if they had used TI and TA as im sure TF wouldnt stand much of a chance against those battlestar fighters. in a sense yes its like EaW, the map wont look as pretty, im sorry, but it just wont, its a rather simple java based app. to gain control of planets your gona need to send your troops down and fight it out EvR site, well its under construction so to speak, as it isnt ready to play yet i havent put the app up for d/l, when the map is done it will be (please note im moving in the next month so im waiting until i have moved. on you second note, thats exactly it, of course you have a limited site range, bigger ships being easier to find, basically. probes are very important for planning attacks so you have intel on defending troops numbers, possible fleets, etc. contact nickersonm, you did have his contact details cos i gave them to you no reason at all why he wont be able to help or help find people to help. Oh btw did you manage to redo how ion cannons work or is that the list of stuff you need to get done or is that in the list of stuff of things that need doing?

my only thoughts would be for eville to contact nickersonm of GCO as he may be able to help

the account will be a online account stored on the server, sadly i think the ships available will be far more limited with the news on 0.5 coming to a halt so i can perhaps start much sooner.

yeah, i wont be doing much work on this atm, currently i've been having problems with my computer crashing half way through star trek legacy for no reason, i will try however after i installed vista onto my system to get it all sorted out, i think what i may do is assign around 800/1000 income (base) a turn to a player which can be increased via trade and refineries (so 80/100 planet levels). With this setup id say we want 4 people in the empire, 4 in the republic, 2 going solo and then have some npcs floating about to spice things up. If we have more than that then you lose teh tactics side of the game as loses start to mean nothing as you quickly rebuild fleets.

I will see how many more join, with the current amount of people (unless i can get more) im guessing the map will only only contain 50-100 planets max, which is cool, i am going to dry and round up some more buggers as well

well finally it begins! on the plus side i have time on my side, only anothert 50 stars to plot! oh yeah!

yeah i know it can do do SLI, what i meant was actually having big enough space on your motherboard to do it that article was however very interesting, seems its not worth getting the GTX for SLI, you may as well get the cheaper one which only performs slightly less, still i think the GTX is a much better buy, i think im gona be getting a GTX now, i was going to get a pre-overclocked GTS, man i was really shocked by the performace difference (as in single card mode, looks like the GTX peaks with current drivers). BTW, i changed my views on it being overpriced for myself anyways as hopefully i should be getting a new rig within a week or so

not sure how possible that is with a 8800 due to size(i guess it depends on your motherboard), besides the 8800 GTX is far to overpriced, you might as well get a BFG Tech GeForce 8800 GTS OC 640MBPCI Express, its about 150 cheaper and only slightly less powerful, its core clock is 550 while GTX is 600 and its shader clock is 1300 compared to 1400 on the GTX. I think im gona get one of these when i build my new computer, really gona put my old 6600 to shame ( its not even half as powerful)

well the other thing that might be a idea is HW1 as if i remember they released the source code for that some time ago, i doubt it would look as nice but its always a thought Still i really do like what has been done with warlords so far, it will be nice to see it reach 1.0 (but i guess thats a long long way away).

Well for the jka side i think we shall be using a mod called Movie battles II found at http://www.moviebattles.com/ its still in the beta stage however im liking what i see so far, now i have been as active because i dont have a whole lot to report, atm we are having a few problems with the server being able to save planets however im looking into options for another host (the guys of GCO have offered to host the server which unless i can fix the server on here seems like the best option). Also i can do to much more until eville has finished with the next patch (as currently ions are far to powerful). So about a week or so after he releases a patch i can look at having a more final version for phase one. Phase one is to be considered a beta campaign to see what people think of the pricing and so on.

orb may be a option, not sure what the modding tools are like now but it might be worth looking into from what i remember.
