  1. I would love to have the final battle over Yuuzanthar, but considering that there are thousands of ships involved, I won't even begin to suggest it. I will rather suggest the following: Battle of Borosk (some desolate but heavily fortified planet in the Imperial Remnant) 1 Imperator II Star Destroyer 7 Imperator I Star Destroyers 1 Modified Victory-class Star Destroyer 1 Enforcer-class Frigate 1 Dreadnought 2 Golan III platforms 4 Golan II platforms 13 TIE Interceptor squadrons and 11 TIE Defender squadrons Yuuzhan-Vong 3 Miid Ro'ik Cruisers 1 Kor Chokk (the Yuuzhan-Vong equivalent of an SSD, or a battleship analogue) 1 Clustership (Yammosk-carrying vessel) 4 Slaveships (the equivalent of a Galofree Transport) 20 Coralskipper squadrons
  2. For the battle of Bilbringi (Last Command) Empire 1 Imperator II Star Destroyer 7 Imperator I Star Destroyers 1 Dominator Star Destroyer 8 Interdictor Cruisers 30 Dreadnoughts 12 Loronar Strike Cruisers 24 carrack Cruisers 4 Golan II platforms 30 TIE fighters (mix of interceptors and TIE fighters) Various Shipyard instalations. New Republic 1 Independence-class Cruiser (Home One) 1 Mon Cal Liberty-class Cruiser 2 MC-80s 2 Assault Frigates 1 Imperator I Star Destroyer 16 X-Wing 6 Y-Wings Militia (Allied to the New Republic) 1 Agressor Cruiser 1 Providence Cruiser 1 Action V transport 1 Barloz-class freighter (dont know if you created that one) 1 CR90 Corvette (the same ship as Leia's consular ship) 2 Correlian Gunship 1 Star Galleon A few things must be adressed: The militia do not appear right away, but a little after the battle has begun. For authenticity purposes, some Imperial shipyard installations would have to blow up as the Militia make their entrance on the New Republic's side. Again, for authenticity purposes, I must stress that this battle was not fought to the end, but rather until *SPOILER HERE ;D* Grand Admiral Thrawn dies, so a timed survival would be prefferable for the New Republic. On the other hand, if either suggestions are not possible, then I guess a deathmatch will have to do. By the way, this takes place in the Bilbringi system ;D.
  3. All your arguments make sense...I never thought of using Corvettes as canon fodder though...I'm going to have to try that!
  4. Does anyone actually use Corvettes? I tried to use them, but to me, they are just annoying. Corvettes seem to be too weak to make a dramatic impact on larger ships and too fragile to put a fight against anything but fighters! Does anyone think they should be removed?
  5. Yeah, classic battles would be great! Althoughif you were to re-create Endor, I dont think giving the Imperials a Death Star would be "fair". In the movie, a simple fighter could destroy it, but im sure in the game, that would not be possible. It would be better if the Death Star was featured in the background, and the objective would be to destroy the Executor, or a timed battle, where the player has to keep Home One alive, thus simulating the time it would take for the shield to be destroyed on Endor and the fighters to destroy the Death Star II. Other classic battles would be great also! Some examples could be the battle of Bilbringi, with Thrawn for the Imperials and Ackbar for the Alliance, and the battle for Coruscant (or Yuuzhantar), featuring the Galactic Alliance and Yuuzhan-Vong. It must be noted that each of these battles weren't fought to the death, but rather until simultaneous events took place that affected the battle directly: The death of Emperor Palpatine at Endor, the death of Grand Admiral Thrawn at Bilbringi and the death of Supreme Overlord Shimrra at Yuuzhantar.
  6. I use most ships that you included, but usually larger ones, Cruisers, ISDs, Mon Cals, Frigates. I never, or rarely use corvettes. I find that they are just annoying, floating around, circling above and around the enemy. The only effective ones I know of are the Skiprays, Lambda (they are, for some reason, relatively invincible unless you have like 12 TIE squadrons chasing them) and the boarding crafts. All the Correlian corvettes and broadside cruiser etc. I think are useless. It's nice to have them for authenticity purposes, but other than that, they aren't really helpful. I think all fighters that you included are awesome. The only thing is that you have to use them intelligently. Alliance fighters usually have more proton torpedoes and missiles available to them, but them Empire relies on numbers though thats imppossible to achieve since the AI builds all the fighters it can. Usually, the Empire needs a couple of Lance Frigates in order to decisively win fighter battles. One question however. What happenned to the XJ-wing?
  7. Facilities area available. you need to dowload all the "Big" files and put them into the data folder, and copy the Target line inside the "readme.txt" file, found in the Latest Version link, and paste it into the SW: warlords Target (Right click, then click on Properties and then paste inside "Target")
  8. Yeah dude. I can't believe how well done the movie is. Can't wait for the rest.
  9. Hey guys, I stumbled on this website the other day. It's called I.M.P.S., a fake documentary on Stormtroopers and what it's like to have "The bast damn job in the galaxy".To all Star Wars fans out there, prepare to be blown away by the quality, time and effort put into this movie. http://impstherelentless.com/tek9.asp?pg=chapter1 Click on Watch Chapter to Download the movie. It takes around 10 minutes, but its completely worth it. Lasts around half an hour.
  10. Holy crap dude, thats amazing! How would the Alliance even destroy that thing?? Can't wait to try the Eclipse out on the Vong...
  11. Just a quick question about the website. I know the area labeled "Latest Version" is where you post all the updates for SW: Warlords, but what does the "File" link do? There's a bunch of files in there, but do they relate to Warlords?
  12. I see that white smoke comes out of the SD's engines. Will that be norm for all upcoming ships?
  13. thats great dude
  14. I know you mst get annoyed with this, but what about Hero units? Here's some suggestions: -Rogue Squadron (An X-Wing squadron that has more hitpoints than the rest, but much more expensive) -Twin Suns Squadron (Same thing, only available in NJO time period) -128th Interceptor Squadron (Empire, but same concept) For larger ships -Errant Venture, which is a Red Star Destroyer, and would be owned by the Militia (Available Post ROTJ) -Ralroost, a Bothan Assault Cruiser (unless you plan to include them in a further version)
  15. I hope you do keep the other options available. Facilities is my favorite mode of play, but Reinforcements is also fun when you just want to blow the hell out of something. How would the DoW-style work on SW Warlords? Would you have to capture an asteroid or satelite and hold it in order to win?
  16. Whenever I try to make Strike groups (Capital Phalanx, Frigate Line, Fighter Screen), it takes forever for the ships tog et in position, and then, when i move my group to attack, some ships wont stay in formation but they will instead move towards the enemy. Maybe its because the larger ships have longer range. Is there anyway you could fix this, making it so ships assemble faster and they all fire at a range acceptable to all the ships in the Strike group? (except maybe fighters or corvettes)
  17. Yeah, it sounds good to me.
  18. Yeah, I agree. Executor-class SSD should be able to rip through anything in a short time, but it seems to not have as much firepower available in the current version than in the older ones. The textures and lighting effects of the engines of the SSD also look like they need some work (or maybe thats just me). Just a couple of questions: I remember in the older versions (.40), the Empire had a Research Facility that they could build, instead of researching Advanced Tecnology. Why remove it? Looked pretty cool. Also, while playing as the militia, there's a cruiser (cant remember the name) that shoots only missiles. Is it supposed to be like that, or is it a bug? (not complaining, just wondering)
  19. Ok never mind...those "lua" files dont download...anyway, i'm going to give it a shot on my own, see what I can do with the "custom" fleets
  20. I see. So I would have to dowload the Higarian and Vagyr ".lua" files also...ok, thanks.
  21. Wow...kind of complicated...Ok, so I need to go into the HW2 Data folder, create a new folder called scripts/startingfleets/ (I cant include the "/") and then, I'm stuck. How do I go about naming the ships that I want? I know that I have to type the whole "Imperator II Destroyer" or whatever the name of the ship is, but how do I write it? In a Word Document? (sorry to be a bother, but I'm new to the whole modding thing)
  22. By the way, happy late Halloween!
  23. Oh ok, cool. I'm gonna go try that out right now.
  24. I tried it, but for some reason, all I ever get is a Star Galleon with two squadrons of TIE fighters. Do I need to do something else?
  25. -The New Republic should be able to build Executor-class SSD once in the Dark Empire, Pre-NJO and NJO eras. They had captured the Guardian and the Lusankya from the Empire, and used them against the Yuuzhan-Vong. Maybe a little too much to ask, but just thought of it. -Loved the SuperLaser on the Imperial Sovereign SSD. Hope you'll bring it back. -The big fat Cruiser for the Alliance that you build at the X-11 shipyards...kind of useless. Can you get rid of it? -Create ships actually capable of capturing a vessel for the Empire. The Assault shuttles and transports suck. -A system that allows you to name your Destroyers and Cruisers in the game!! Would be really cool! -Death Star? -Since the Empire relied on numbers to win fighter battles, could you increase the number of TIEs in one squadron from 6 to 9? -Is it possible to create relevant Star Wars insignias and make them show up on some of the ships?
