  1. Nice! And I thought XML notepad was as user friendly as could be! I can tell this will be a big help to modders. I would like it too.
  2. I already have purple lasers for Nantex's in my mod, modeled by Codeuser.
  3. Sweet! How do you code things as reinforcement points without...er...being reinforcement points?
  4. You expect people to just model that right away? LOL It's impossible to shoot and fly with a jetpack at the same time in EaW.
  5. The ALO viewer is way easier.
  6. Look for tutorials, start with simple XMLing. I recomend unlocking stuff and reusing models in new ways. When you get good, you can add totally new stuff. Or, if you want to skip to the new stuff, here's a pretty basic tutorial on reskinning:http://pff.swrebellion.com/index.php?topic=3812.0 You should wait until you're ok with XMLs. I recommend XML notepad instead of regular notepad: http://www.snapfiles.com/get/xmlnotepad.html That may be a different version then what I use, but if anything, it'll be better(hopefully)
  7. I don't get what you mean....
  8. It's percent... I think that means '100' is default. Don't blame me if your comp explodes though...
  9. No clue, but Z3R0X is waiting. It's really up to Codeuser, I've all but completely handed the project over to him. Of course, I still do the skins.
  10. Player colors DO apply to GC. That all-important line of code defines what color the player color is in GC(Didn't you read the tutorial!?) If it's not set, the unit will turn out his factions color. So, as I said, if you want him green in GC, use the alpha+all important code, if you NEED him green EVERYWHERE, color it green, DON'T ALPHA IT. Make sure the alphaed part is still white! That's why I said select the alpha, then go to select>inverse.
  11. Codeuser made them, I just made the skin. Codeuser hasn't attaced the Kama and pauldron skin yet, if your wondering why it's plain. And that is an ARC trooper, none of us bothered to take a pic of the jet trooper. The phase two head looks big in the shocktrooper screen, but has been fixed.
  12. You can't edit the head because you aren't supposed to. : Do you want the head green everywhere, and something else player colors? Because the alpha is player colors, except in GC, where the code defines the color. In short, if you want a stormy with a green helmet, color it green, if you want a stormy with a colored helmet, alpha it. If you made the helm green and alphaed it, it would be player colors+green, in short, crap.
  13. Nope, sorry. I copied Coruscant, since it(in a way) is coruscant.
  14. ... It doesn't say to fill it with white. I need to edit this... Click "add new channel", and look for my changes to the tutorial. From what people are saying, it's current version really sucks. EDIT: DON'T! Click on the little box next to 'alpha 1'. In the other channels there will be a little eye there. Once you click, there will be an eye there too, and everything black in the alpha will appear as a red overlay. Sorry about the confusion.
  15. If you're wondering why my next clone skinpack hasn't come out: http://z4.invisionfree.com/The_Sith_Lords_EaW/index.php?showtopic=159
  16. I recently made a new "planet"(not really a planet), and it worked.
  17. It says only player colors!? I should fix that... But I really think player colors are necassary. It's for reskinning.
  18. *Plays Stargate SG-1 theme* ;D
  19. Yeah! Except that you're limited to your skills, time, and patience. Adding Earth was a great idea. But whatever. A long while ago, I was thinking, maybe in Star Wars, humans didn't come from Earth...
  20. But that's impossible... We don't have that tech yet, and this happened a long time ago...
  21. You should get complete FoC.
  22. So what part of Earth is the map going to be located in?
  23. I think I got Rom Mohc and Piett confused with SSDs on the auto, sorry. But they placed Nighthammer and Annihilator on the wrong planets at the wrong times. : It seemed like there were lots of SSDs. I thought I saw a third SSD too...
  24. I'm very glad to see you modding.
  25. Tommorow, I should just sit back and play some mods for several hours. EDIT:Tried it, it was awsome! Ok, first of all, the text entries on the UC turrets and Mando Starbases are confusing, and Darj's has a mistake. I hate text editing too. ;D I only tested the GC "Mandalorian Uprising", and it was fun! I loved the 'Commando' feel of my first battle(Botheuwi), none of the units did anything but Darj. Creativity is fun. I built a set of turrets around the base, and fired them all at the ZC palace. I thought the disrupter turrets were missle turrets, so I had to replace all of them with carbonite later. : Anyways, after that, the Empire kicked me off Botheuwi(however you spell it), and I took my forces to Ryloth. I really wanted to check out the pirate units, but got confused and built the wrong space station. So I tried to recapture Bothu-whatever, but a bunch of SSDs controlled it. I lost one Keldabe at Ryloth, one then.(I had three) So I kept trying to conquer planets, but there was an SSD on each, and when I finally defeated the space forces of a planet, I'd lose ground(I shouldn't use auto resolve...) and then an SSD came and forced my ships back. When I had finally eliminated all the SSDs, the Empire had enough spam units for defence. I really enjoyed it though. The two only problems I've seen are lack of land diversity(Don't blame you, what else do the Mandos have?) and SSD overpower(Heck, how do you not overpower an SSD?)
