Rather than messing with the superweapon icon, I guess you can just make firing it an ability (like on the magenpulse cannon). That should work. I've never gotten the superweapon button to work myself (hence why the Mando's "space superweapon" is a turret on their space station...If I get a nuke ship model...I might change that)

Ergh. The build pads pissed me off to no end. There's a few things you need to add, and they're scattererd through the XMLs. First off, you need to add your faction to the list of the buildpad (whatever it is) so that your faction can capture it. Next, you'll need to copy a UC (under construction) version of the turret/mine you want and change the faction of the copied entry and add it to the buildpad's list under your faction. Finally, you need to copy the constructed version of the turret/mine and change that one's faction. Then, you need to go back and change the build_completed object in the Under Construction version so it gives you the right completed mine/turret. That should do it. For space, I think they're all in SpaceBuildablesSkirmish.xml, but for ground, they are scattered through GroundBuildables and GroundTurrets. Which is annoying.

Can I see your station code? You might be making that list incorrectly or something from the sound of it. EDIT: From the other thread, that is indeed the case...(why two threads!?) EDIT2: looks like this is a new problem...sorry...still, seeing the code will be helpful. Seems like it changed from last time's.

actually, I think its in the flag in its projectiles (lol) Do note that only AoE effects work, if anything works at all. Collision is not calculated on friendlies.

I say "contrails" because contrails include "chemtrails". You're testing them if they have harmful stuff. If there is, then its a chemtrail.

I am not making pointless examples. You go look at the scientific method. It calls for an experiment which is CONTROLLED. Meaning, there is only one variable being tested at a time. This is the only way to create irrefutable proof - to eliminate every other possibility. You are doing an argumentum ad populum - citing that what more other people believe is correct. that, in itself is a fallacy. I understand your point, but it is the wrong way to go about it. You can not, I can not, tell if the orgonite generator has any effect. You can talk about weather trends, you can talk about what is supposed to happen, but freak incidents happen. Like that snowstorm I had last Friday. Weather cannot be accurate predicted, and because we do not know what is in teh contrails, we cannot even guess their effects. Constructing a generator at this stage is taking the problem from the incorrect angle -it is like randomly taking medicine before you know what illness you have. It may work. It may kill you. I am as interested as you are in if such things exist, but the truth is, constructing orgonite generator will prove nothing. I am offering the correct procedure in accurately testing this for ourselves, providing irrefutable evidence that can be presented to the government, and to teh public, and you will win their support. If anyone wants to try this follow these steps: 1. Determine chemical compositions of various contrails (preferably long-lasting ones) 2. Find average amount and content of particles 3. Research possible effects of any found chemicals (optional) * at this point, you can stop if there is no chemical content in any of the contrails. If there is, alternatively, you may wish not to proceed, but to inform the public of your findings. 4. Construct and activate orgonite generator 5. After a determined period of time, redetermine chemical content of various contrails 6. Come up with a conclusion based on data. (more particles, less particles, negligible difference) 7. Repeat experiment with multiple generators in necessary.

As for chemtrails? I'll believe it when I see it. No, don't build the machine to test, take a plane up and get some contrail samples and see if they contain chemicals. that's the most surefire way. If they do, then publish your findings. Someone will do something. If they don't, guess what? No such thing as chemtrails. After that has been established, you can actually test if the slyphs exist or if you are doing something with your orgonite device. You can routinely test the level of chemicals present in chemtrails comparing when the device is active and when it is not. If there is a decrease in the chemical content, then I guess I lose this one. That is how you do a proper mythbust. You need to set up the correct experiment. If you're going to build a weird machine and see if contrails take less time to fade, there's no solid proof at all, beacause, as you said, sometimes contrails just disappear quickly. There might not even have been a "chemtrail". I've put it in idiots terms in a hope that you will understand. There is a way to test this, that will satisfy even the most skeptical of people. however, some hearsay and a conspiracy theory and some mere observations do not amount to any argument of weight whatsoever. It's a little short and fat. I would prefer it if you make the ship longer, and possibly shrink down the WTF HUGE runways. In space, there's no need for a runway since there's nowhere to fall if you don't get enough speed. you can stop in space in a fighter. Otherwise, nice design.
