  2. No... they actually make several models...One complete then one with a piece missing.. then another with more and so on. Then the the models are swapped in game via scripting. Thats how most games do it.....
  3. Ya I am dying for the SDK... for this game.. mainly the map editor.
  4. its funny you say that.. cuz.. I found the Deathstar planet model... You could set up as a real planet.. but the invasion occurs on a map.. that appears to be inside. I used to do level design for MOHAA, prior to that Quake, and many other games. So anything is possible. The one thing I would like to make as a new model or have get released with a Expansion pack are SkyHooks... Coruscant should have a bunch of them floating around the planet. Also.. Golan Defense Platforms... would be cool.... As would more droids... Ahh... I have many ideas.. and I know some ways we can do alot of stuff. If anyone wants to brainstorm. I'm always available.. my AIM SN is z3r0.

  6. Not the just the space maps.. but the planet models themselves...
  7. I hate to tell you this Havoc.. but most of the maps in the game are reused over and over. I've looked thru all the models.. and maps etc etc. You'd be surprised how much Petroglyph reused things for the game. Some people complain that the Hard modes are TOO hard... and the EASY modes are too easy. So.. this should make things a bit more interesting. Ohh and Havoc... dont be hatin.
  8. Kamino was added in.. from Petroglyph. I just unlocked it..... I will be releasing a different version shortly that will have a playable ground map for Kamino. Also... the 900000 credits.. You will need it.... Trust me! You need to get you pop cap up.. and start grabbing planets. To do that takes money to build space stations and buildings to build troops etc etc. I tested it and I burned thru the money pretty damn quick. As far as the pirates go... I made them realistic.... Pirates dont grab systems... However I may see if I can make them do Raids. For now they control... 4-5 Systems, also their forces in each system is pretty impressive. 1 Acclamator and a Tartan Patrol Craft are not gonne be anywhere near enough to... Dislodge them.
  9. 64 playable planets, larger Galaxy, more trade routes added, several pirate controlled systems. Also.. each side starts with 900,000 credits, to start building up your forces. Also.. the Rebels will grab planets quick if you play as the Empire. So you better be faster and grab them. If the rebels get enough planets... they will easily overwhelm the Empire.

  17. LOL... nvm, I just made the planets smaller. Worked like a charm....
  18. Ok... everything is ok... but now I got planets off the mini map. I see dw333's mini map all the planets fit on there. yet he increased the scale of the galaxy. Is there a way to adjust the scale of the mini map so everything fits?
  19. Im not sure exactly. However the scale of the galaxy matters. However I'm not sure what default is. I did alot of experimentation. I mod the planet.xml and the SinglePlayer_Campaign.xml with the game running.. then I restart the campaign then I can see what my adustments did.
  20. Correct... However Mustafar was easy. Its a volcanic planet.. So I reused Shola... If you look close.. at your galaxy.. you will see that the game only has a handful of planet models. Some are reused. When I added in Rattatak.. its a red planet.. So I used the Yavin planet model and used the Genosis land map and the Yavin space map. When the map editor gets released.. then we can start making maps.
  21. I added it. My galaxy mod is not as large or all encompassing as dw333's. I am adding in some planets, trade routes etc etc. Here are the planets I am adding.   22. The coords are ez to figure out. First number is left or right of center. "+" being left "-" being right. The second # is vertical from center. "+" being up and "-" being down. Use your current planets as a guide if you want.
  23. There is evidence of the planet Duro and many others in the that text file. Complete with history info, population info and, wildlife info etc. I found about 15-20 planets in there that never made it to the game. Wonder why......
  24. Yes... I did save.. I will try again later when I get home.
  25. I tried scale increased to 2.0 nothing happened..then to 3.0 nothing then to 25.0 then to 100.00 still nothing.... what scale figures are you using?
