  1. Here's an interesting analogy: lets compare the Eaw files and that lua editor, to the Jedi and Yuuzhan Vong. [spoilerIFIC, BABY!] The Jedi could not sense the Yuuzhan Vong in the Force, so therefore they assumed that they were completely devoid of the Force what so ever. This ,however, is impossible, because there cannot be life without it. The Yuuzhan Vong simply operate on a different wavelength of the Force, one the Jedi's senses cannot pick-up (kinda like how dogs hear better than humans). the Lua editor your using is like the Jedi. The Eaw files are one of a kind, and therefore non-existant to the non-updated LUA editor. so there is a similarity between the Lua files and the Yuuzhan Vong. I'm done. BTW, what editor are you using?
  2. There's a shadowclaw icon, some freaky female Icon (I think its that Tani persons). Possibly a Catamaran icon. Yes, lots of fun wil lbe had with this discovery. Thanks again.

  4. You should have to. The Xml folder is basically the uncompressed version of the one in config.meg. You add the edited XML's to it. Naja, are the edited files still on your desktop, or are they in the EAW folder?

Just recently (day of posting) I have found out that General veers has a land unit out of his ATAT, that there is an icon for the Catamaran (the wookie flying thingy in EPIII), and that Captain Antilles has a ground texture. I also found that the Shadowclaw, Tanbris, and the Virago have Icons too.

  7. They should hire the guys from EVE to do the game and they should hire Will Wright to do the characters. Procedural generation rocks.
  8. It could work. Just copy Rogue Squadron or something, change the names and encyclopedia entries, add stealth. yeah, it could work. What would be cooler is if we could get them working for land. They could have a "disguise" ability so they look like an indigenous unit for a time so the Empire wouldn't fire on them. The ywere known for disguises, and I haven't even read their books! (yet)

  11. For capital ships when they die, escape pods could be the shuttles of that faction. Then you could create a new type of infantry unit called *name of ship*_Command_Crew to inhabit them. The only question is what to do with them after the battle.

  15. Yeah. if the Bespin ship was a model and everything, it wokuld be in my game right now. On a penguiny note, the peguin mod is progressing along like the Xizor mod did. In other words, it's freezing my game up for reason's unknown. On the good side I have everything in place for it so once I figure out how to get it working, it'll be ready in no time.

  17. You can look to the scout trooper for that. OR....you could add the building garrison trigger to a vehicle and see what happens.
  18. Unfortunetly, it's just a text entry. I really need to mark it if there is a model and everything, or if it's just a text entry. It is enough proof to say that there was once a Bespin ground map.
  19. for ground units, got to groundcompanies*name of faction*.xml (<-- replace with Rebel or Empire). Then hit ctrl+f and search for "Build_Time_Seconds" (without the quotes) and change it to whatever you want. The same goes for space units. open up spaceunits(then fighter, corvette, frigate, capital, or super) and do the same thing.

  22. There are books and comics that go from The Great Hyperspae War to the Swarm War. The trick is finding all of them. Now they're even making the Legacy books that tell about the galaxy when Ben Skywalker is under apprenticeship.
