  8. WHich is why you should just say no to the Rebellion, my friend. They are WAY TOO POWERFUL. But yeah, I get fleets that have about 20 XWing's in them and 10 Y's, about 13 venators, six corellians, 3 nebulon's, and Home one. They always end in these units for raid fleets: Han and Chewie, T4B's, MPTL's, and Snowspeeders. Don't you think in reality it would be hard to smuggle all those heavy units to the planet's surface?

  10. Sorry 'bout that, but He doesn't have his own icon. If I knew where the icons were stored, I could try my hand at making on for him, but until then, it's just a small problem. EDIT: I'm almost done with the penguin; I just have to add him to a unit team, test him out to see waht weapon he has, tweek it a little bit, then type some excuse up to why I made this!

  12. An awesome thing you could be able to do with these flight maps would be to have non-atmospheric ships stay in orbit and be able to use a "bombing run" kinda thing. where they bombard the enemies in that position to dust.
  13. well...I only know of two other sites for hosting: 1. Megaupload (*suffocates on its evilness*) 2. OR you could get a free website. at digibase.ca. none of that freewebs crap.
  14. Yeah, it seems kinda strange to give Manaan and Mon Calamari, planets that have virtually no landmasses land maps, and not give Bespin one , even though it has cloud city. I also just discovered that Ilum has 2 space maps.
  15. While I was searching through the master text file, I found this: I think htis is proof that a Bespin map once existed, but isn't there anymore. Just a neat little thing I found that I just wanted to share.
  16. trust me, I hate this too. It's the only thing I hate about playing with the Empire, because I know that eventually a huge rebel fleet will come that has only fighters and corvettes (and rarely venators, mauraders, and nebulon's) to annoy the crap out of me. Right now, though, there is no way of editing the .lua files that control this behavior, so we just have to spam tartans.... :-\
  17. It's not as easy as that. Heck, he shouldn't even HAVE pistols. He should have those shield...cutty....thingys that he has in the action figure (yes I have it) ..and...stuff. Anyway, the pistols are hardcoded into the model and the animation and stuff, so there's no way that's happening. I also might change the skills, if I find something that's suits him more, but I won't change something that works fine just because one person doesn't necesarily like it. If more people agree with you, I'll gladly change his ability. But as for now, no. oh, and also, I'm uploading an updated uniqueunits.xml so that he doesn't come down in a minature Slave I. He should come down in a Lambda shuttle now.
  18. The long wait is over, peoples! Xizor is now an in-game unit! I'd like to thank Valeforth for his guide to putting Kyle and the Moldy Crow into the game (they are also included in this mod.),and Necro for his guid on how to get the X-Wing proton torpedo to work, which I used for the Virago's proton torpedoes. I take no credit at all for this mod; all I did was take a unit that was hidden away in the dark depths of hte game files and put it in. (note: there is a glitch where the icon for Xizor shows up twice in the hero icon bar, but this doesn't effect anything. Ignore it.) (note2: He doesn't work in skirmish. I'm trying to correct this, so be patient. Any help would be appreciated. Also, you have to manually add him to the GC. Just thought I'd throw those out to avoid questions.) EDIT!: See the below post for an updated uniqueunits.xml that fixes the ship he lands in (so it's not a minature Slave I) Bad screenshot time! ( the land shots may be hard to see, but he's just that green patch against the red background. And he's standing near the Emperor. And shooting.   19. I'm making a Xizor mod, and after that I'll be working on the other units, so there's the units part for you. I didn't even know the game had planets there that weren't active in at least one GC campaign.

  22. Mara is easier than Xizor. She already has entries in. I have to create Xizor from scratch, using the textures and models and stuff given.
  23. It's the exact opposite of what it should be. The empire should be so strong that the only way that you can escape a battle that has a Victory in it is by bringing in a Mon Cal. Now, I know that everyone knows the Rebels eventually win. But one of the main reason I bought EAW was to pwn with the Empire. Now it's all imbalanced....and that bites. Back on topic, the reason that CC's are so hard to hit is because they're LEAN. They're way too skinny, except at the back, and the only part the turblosers target is the main body. Tartan's are very thick all over their bodies. That just screams target. That, and I don't think they fire as well as CC's do when they're not on Boost Weapon Power. I send my tartans to distract them enough for my fighters and bombers to get the job done, then I send any free Acclamator/VSD/ISD/SSD to finish them off.
  24. (sorry for the double post) I'm stumped. I have Xizor in herocompanies, namedherounits, and uniqueunits, but I STILL can't get him to work. I've doubled checked everything, added all sorts of compatibility and stuff, but I still got nothing. here's what I have: (note: i'm using kyle's icon for him.) Edit: The land thing is all screwed up. I tried playing it after I deleted the land battle and the game actually worked, but I didn't seem him in the GC i put him in.... I'll put up the files for DL this time.
  25. you have no idea how much that has helped me. now I can finally complete my Xizor mod!!
