  3. the model isn't the problem, its an importer thats the problem! there are also 80 planets now, this is about the max you can have without heavy stutters/lag! I did have over 100 at one point but the game couldn't handle it!

  6. ok i droped the planets from 98 to 80 and performance is ALOT better! will post screenshots as soon as i can find where they are going :
  7. i just had this as well, the demo worked fine for screenshots, but cannot find screenshots for full game, maybe its a mod thing? what is the folder name i foreget, add this folder in EAW gamedata folder, ill try it if i can remember name of folder and where it goes.
  8. didnt read all the posts, but you can make missiles and torpedoes hit shields by changing it in projectiles.xml

  10. ok, it is the number of planets... to some extent, more so all the hypermovement, animations, etc. Even lowering the scale of the planets which i did to start with anyway. the galactic map, effects the tactical battles aswell, creating a very stuttery battle at times, the game seems holds all the info in ram, even with my 2GB it still seems to have a prob with it all! like i said before, it ould be other changes, but playing other campaigns no problems, so i think it mostly the planets, will research more today, after work. will update tonight.! Dan
  11. exactly, harp points are the health! if you remove the target/destroy/health for the hardpoints then the tactical health is the true value! actually works fine like this (no hardpoints), and is alot or will be alot easier to add new models, until all new models added have hardpoint models.
  12. ok, with all these planets (98) and units im getting heavy stutters, so to speak. it might be any number of other changes i have added, so i will add 1 file at a time to see if its a specific file or just the number of planets and units, i will erase the starting units first to see if just the massive number of units is causing it, or the planets, then work to the files. end update...

  15. I can hellp with the planets if you like, as you probably know i have added around 50+, locations are a little off, but can easily adjust. The file is from my current mod.
  16. what i meant was i have added a total of 50+ planets, and working on unit data for 50+ more units. will need to reuse models until they can be imported into game. that kind of sucks, but its all i/we/anyone can do right now! New update, i have I'mportant crap to do (personal), so now im looking at Thursday or Friday, maybe wendsday for 1st basic release!

  18. Star Wars: Civil War, is underway! First release by Tuesday will include over 100 planets with trade routes (with interdiction/assembly areas), data editing (scale, damages, movement, special abilities, numbers, costs, build times, hardpoints, etc, basically everything), many many more units (but no new models), text edits and additions for everything new and old! So much, need to get to work, will post a formal document later, before release.

  23. also edit traderoutes.xml, every trade route also has a hyp speed of its own. there are also a few other files, that have speed aswell, gameconstants.xmp, dont remember but factions.xml and singleplayercampaign.xml might also have some hyper info.
  24. And yes yopu can change the scaling of the galactic map, it is top line (oops sorry, i use/view it in grid format, so its really the first catagory) of plantes.xml, you can change its size there!
  25. ^ yes i wouldnt have more then 150 planets or so, it does start to bog down, even on my computer(very nive specs). I have a total of 98 planets with trade routs and interdiction/assembly areas (on routes), and i get slow downs a bit at times, especially with alot (massive) of units!
