Just follow the instructions I posted. Make an ART folder in your Data folder, make a TEXTURES folder in that, and put the new Darth Vader texture in that folder, like this: Gamedata/Data/ART/TEXTURES/EI_VADER.dds
Say you make a secondary version of a Star Destroyer, and you need it to have a different texture than the other one. How do you make the variant reference a different texture file?
I can't remember who, but someone wanted a Darth Vader with black eyes (instead of the funky reddish color). I wanted them too, but was too lazy to change it until now. So here it is, a black-eyed Darth Vader.
Hmm...interesting. Combined with dookie24's modding, we could make potentially make sky maps with fighters (and atmosphere capable vessels like the Acclamator). Bespin Cloud Cars would be good indigenous units...
I think you can limit the maximum and minimum z height limits of their flight "plane". More of a flight box, since they can go up and down when other ships can't.
I'll be doing a few tests tonight to see if I can replace in-game textures... EDIT: Okay, got it. Make an ART folder in your Data folder, and a TEXTURES folder in the ART folder. Put any modified textures in there, and they'll work in-game.
