  4. Just follow the instructions I posted. Make an ART folder in your Data folder, make a TEXTURES folder in that, and put the new Darth Vader texture in that folder, like this: Gamedata/Data/ART/TEXTURES/EI_VADER.dds
  5. Icons are in the commandbarcomponents dds file. But, we don't know how the wierd mdt coordinate system works, so we couldn't upload a new icon yet.
  6. Say you make a secondary version of a Star Destroyer, and you need it to have a different texture than the other one. How do you make the variant reference a different texture file?

  8. I can't remember who, but someone wanted a Darth Vader with black eyes (instead of the funky reddish color). I wanted them too, but was too lazy to change it until now. So here it is, a black-eyed Darth Vader.
  9. Hmm...interesting. Combined with dookie24's modding, we could make potentially make sky maps with fighters (and atmosphere capable vessels like the Acclamator). Bespin Cloud Cars would be good indigenous units...
  10. Go in the tools and tutorials thread and get the dds plugin for photoshop. If you don't have photoshop, you won't be able to change them.
  11. I have that action figure too. Those weapons are totally sweet. Anyway, adding another blaster would require changing the model (which we can't do).
  12. I think you can limit the maximum and minimum z height limits of their flight "plane". More of a flight box, since they can go up and down when other ships can't.
  13. Good idea...evil grin Anyway, my question requires knowledge about the models that we don't have (since we don't have a model extractor yet).
  14. I'll be doing a few tests tonight to see if I can replace in-game textures... EDIT: Okay, got it. Make an ART folder in your Data folder, and a TEXTURES folder in the ART folder. Put any modified textures in there, and they'll work in-game.
  15. You could probably make them behave like speeders...I think that would probably work better for the atmospheric combat than the their space behavior.
  16. Is the part of the mod with the ships in the atmosphere available for download? If not, how did you do it?

  20. I think you have to add unit/squadron capacity lines to the ships.
  21. Might be a phased out pirate unit (like the V-Wing and Venator).
  22. I'd say that's entirely possible. It'll probably take a while to do though.
  23. Probably because people would forget to launch fighters from cap ships in the middle of a heated battle.
