  1. when was the last time you saw Stormtroopers hiding or taking cover? they always relied on charging and over running the enemy even in ep2 and 3 they did that. The empire was not as well trained as you think, they trained to skill not trained to surive the rebels on the other hand did training for both as they had limted numbers, there troops also got combat exp real fast in hit and run raids.
  2. LOL RPG d20 in a RTS? no thank you. Alot of game sells have gone down 9not profit) because people like me are sick and tired of the same game types like aoe3 bring nothing new or nothing better then aoe2 etc.. EAW brings new levels of play and makes it FUN. And your last line should be " i got owned so goodnight all"

I disagree tactics to me is deciding what to build what counter to use where to send your fleets and what planets to invade, while strategy happens durning the battle it is, do i do a fient then flank, do i send a small force around to draw troops then hit etc.. Why you do think before a war they do tactical planing? they dont hold strategy planing its called tactical jediigor you ask for more realistic stats, but how do you get real stats when the whole starwars world is FAKE its fantsy made up, its impossable to make anything REAL when none of its real to start.
  4. LOL you go delphi you owned him on that one. Last time i checked a RTS=real time strategy, not real time build base build units strategy. RTW MTW and STW are RTS strategy with a TBS system and you dont build units in battle or base's, EAW is the same BUT with real time space map rather then TBS. EAW rocks and with the speed for travel and build times (posted before) being slower in retail this game is soooo gona rock.

  6. first everything we build in the "DEMO" is low end units, i highly doubt the deathstar builds in 10seconds or even ISD and MC's And even if they do, GOOD i use SPAQ for RTR because it allows massive build up of troops and yet the game still has plenty of strategy, like where to send troops what ones etc.. the people who need slower build times and TBS are the ones who cant think on there feet and react fast enough, they need a pause in the game to think cause they are slow thinkers IMO

I just ran sevral test, rebel troopers vrs storm troopers rebles lost every fight, unless i used take cover then they won every fight ( the ST's never used TC) so seems balanced to me. Also on a side note rebel troopers are stronger in the movies then ST BUT ST always one cause of greater numbers.
  8. Hmm i do not agree about it taking days to build things, BUT fleet travel should take days as is the fleets can move between planets in seconds.

  12. It means the AI just sits on the galatic map it wont push your planet or build new fleets etc.. basicly you get 1 space battle and 1 land battle.
  13. WOW this game is gona rock so much lol. Ok after beating the demo i can say this is a hit, but. problem one travel between planets is way tof ast, its a matter of seconds rather then taking days(gametime) like it should. Units in ground battles die a little to fast IMO Heros are really powerfull, but they can die pretty fast if your not watching (thats a good thing) I am disapointed they disabled the AI so they just sit and wait Game on fulll settings run soooo smooth as well.
  14. I just got up and started the download, gona take me 14minutes from my fileplanet account as i have stated before paying 6$ a month for no waiting and 700k/s+ speeds is well worth it.
  15. If there is, it will be removed within 48hours by players so i would not worrya bout it. As far as the conquest map, its still up for grabs what that means it could be a limted number of planets to 1 space and ground battle to 1 space or 1 ground etc..
  16. Did i miss where it was offical announced that the conquest mode map is NOT a planet based thing? When i think conquest+ from what the devs have stated in the past the game has sevral conquest maps from small amount of planets to 43 to fight over. So unless it was offical said, i belive the conquest map is gona be 4-8planets we can fight over.

Did not see a tech forum for this sorry, but i keep getting loged out when i hit reply half the time, numerous erros when i do post, loged out when i post and sevral "the forum you selected does not exist" msg lol. More curious if my broswer is messing up for the move is having slight problems?
  18. 750mb is not that big any more, most demos these days are 500mb to 1gig or so.

  21. hehe a reble fleet with ISD AND X-wing Awing and y-wings would be very unbalanced.
  22. In one of the old pop cap threads it was stated by one of the dev's that there is no ISD2 so i doubt we get victory2's as well till an xpack
  23. Do you realize how stupid that line just made you look? never ever complain about someone else "grammar" if yours is so bad.
  24. I doubt you keep them as this is a special skill that ISD use durning combat just like vdors coke or crush skills, its skill nothing more with a timer for reuse.
