I disagree, the imperials did(forgot which planet/book it was in) negotiate with the rebels to beat a common foe. There could be a temperory truce to beat a stronger neutral party. (the empire ended up betraying the rebels but were killed because the rebels had Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade) You are talking about the siiruk? (spelling?) ant the whole truce at bakura thing correct? You forgot to endquote and yes, I'm talking about that. EDIT: I got the quotes to work, finally.

(the empire ended up betraying the rebels but were killed because the rebels had Luke Skywalker and Mara Jade and Han Solo, and the others) I agree. Though for the rebels, it might have to be not just the promise, but the real thing of military or economical to convince the locals to rise up against the mighty empire.

WE SHOULD not Pay, kinda a shame I don't have live though:((router not supported and I don't have enough wires to make it work without using the router) (wish you were able to download updates if you didn't have live)

I agree lucasarts are hindering the game. SSD's and Interceptors should be in the game and lucasarts should not make producers and developers remove models and such that they spent time on, getting the fans phyched up on just for some "expansion" or release date. The system requirements I think should be made that you can choose how much to have (low, medium, super good)and the pop should be based on your system(you choose again) for multiplayer, pop will be a set amount for all. The broadside isn't much of a deal, I agree, but they should've kept some other units like the venator. WHO VOTED NO?????!!!!! WHO?

nooooooooooooooooooooooooo, just found out now:( As long its a bug free game, i'll be happy swbf2 had like 20 bugs and was missing some things because it was rushed. Edit: Kill the guy with the Japanese kid show for a sig.
-
Realism all the way. Realism can ACTUALLY be the balance. In swbf2, both imps and rebels had missils but thats what made it unbalanced. Ties were faster so now ties:faster+missles vs. Rebels:slow+missles. Whose gonna win? ties. So it became Unbalanced. With realism it would be fast vs. slow+lock on missles so it's balanced(swbf1's lock on was much better, didn't take forever and actually locked on all the time) Also the scraps of metal can be a advantage(cheap) Also, realism makes it so that each side has differant strategies you have to use, ending up in differant expirences. What you think is the imps advantage is its weakness, slow lumbering, easy to hit.

Mostly the movies path but I plan to finish it 20x faster as the rebels. (and beating it before the second death star)

I didn't preorder, I don't know if I can, tight budget in my house. Might have to wait until the library has it to borrow.(my library system seems to have amost all the new not childish games like BF1 and 2 for the pc, R:TW, AOM, AOE3.) I'd love to buy it if budget allows it.

AOE map editor I found was very easy though it took me some time to figure out the trigger system. I'm happy there is one for EAW. I wish you could change a unit without affecting the entire game though(ex: only have that change for that custom level, not everything else) so you can create new heros/normal troops(ex. a admiral or commander, more health than trooper, more damage, area effect, special name(ex. admiral daala), same looks, weapon, and such as one though) I agree, Cilivazations was very confusing. Editors do slow down when you add more stuff. AOE's editor froze once when I was trying to make a level that reanacted a real battle. (800+ units for each side). I hope they make a easy to make cinematic tool with it. AOM's was too complicated for me(though, I am 13, that may be why).

I think technically the Hypervelocity gun could pose a serious threat to the Death Star, except I think the Death Star can destroy the planet at a distance that the Hypervelocity gun could not reach it. None of that matters though as the Hypervelocity gun is Imperial only. Yes but if the planet was taken over with the gun intact, the rebels coud use it. The empire might not know you have it and be overconfident( like in ANH) and not fire until its in range of your captured hypervelocity gun. There's already so many questions. How are the fighters counted to pop.lim?(is it 1 squadron takes up a space, or something). Can you bring in fighters without using the star destroyers spec. abilities?(as in LOTS of them, so you loophole the pop. limit.)

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone at Petroglyph. Thanks for the new information and popping by to read our thoughts and answering our questions. I'm looking foreward to playing SW:EAW when it comes out. Thanks for trying to release a polished game with no bugs, Again, Happy Holidays.(Christmas, New Year, Kwanza, Hanukkah and whatever else there is you celebrate)

Problem is you can't add a new graphics card to a laptop, no one told me this when I got it.... I have a laptop too and it's 3 years newer than my desktop:(

Addressing many subjects: OMEGA: Yes you need diplomacy or else it would be too hard. No diplomacy=no chance of empire getting double agents. No diplomacy= no chance for rebels to get tech without taking over a planet(and losing most of their army) No diplomacy= No chance to get captured heros back(if possible) On another hand, I hope the diplomacy isn't bad. In some games, the allied factions attacks you EVEN though you have better troops, more troops, didn't attack them, didn't cross the border, and paid them tribute. Also in some games, your allies hardly agree to help you unless you offer them a OUTRAGEOUS amount of money. Yes I wish developers didn't need to keep secrets but the reasons they need to is: It would spoil the fun People might complain Read my earlier post on what I think the diplomacy is like

now i'm more confused, i'll just walk out of this debate now and let you two talk

It's friday, hope it's soon. To Zer Theron: SO, a star destroyer in hypothetical thinking can have unlimited tie squadrons in the game if your right? Imagine, infinityxsquadrons vs. 1 small force. If you have surviving ties, would they be availiable in a next battle Do you need to Garrison the star destroyers before you launch them?
-
I agree with what Grd Adm said, they might join you but would secretly lean toward the rebellion. (like allderaan was a imperial world but secretly resisted) (spelling)
-
Thats why I though gr. as. was saying as rebel.(because I remember him saying he was for rebel) to what dth(dork the hunter)said:same here
-
Okay, thx dorkthe hunter To gr. ad. then why are you depleting your main secret weapon? you could just let the rebels have the planet or have it so that you don't produce any. If your in a emergency, you can use it as a last resort.
-
If you mean as a rebel, why not just take it over early on.
-
Edit: what dorkthehunter said
-
srry, I'm still deciding which avatar to use.
-
there I changed it. srry, I mix up things too easily
-
I think it is. More of "complete a mission" than diplomacy. I think someone said that if you completed a mission (like escorting bacta to a plagued planet or liberating one planets prisoners) they might join you or give you support.
-
Yes , duh or we would've been here millenias ago. Kuat, so the empire can't build ISD's.(Steal SD when still being constructed as rebels)
-
I don't know about notifying in a message popping up because on the EAW video, I didn't see that. If there was, if you are the empire, wouldn't you get like 50 notices in a minute? The Empire has alot of rescources(or so in the video, the person created like 20 ISDs in a few seconds and more popped up) Unless the demo was speeded up.(which I think it was) I hope there are shipyards. I'm going to raid knut and destroy it so the empire can't make ISDS. Then when the Empire is making the Star Destroyer, I'll take it over before they finish and use it against them. But I don't think Star Destroyers are made in Shipyards.
