This is highly problematic. I think that the best solution is to separate the values altogether to keep the original XMLs as clean as possible. Remember that the only way to make use of any diplomacy in this game will come from lua scripting and there will have to be a way to save and retrieve data through that.
I just went by gamestop (is same as ebgames), and they didn't have any info on anything other than a CD... Is there somewhere someone has seen a US copy available for DVD for sure?
Um, anyone play Wing Commander Armada? This one you had a simple interface like in BattleFront2 and you then flew flight sim mode with the units that entered battle. Was an interesting idea.
The idea would be to have a special unit that is a large group of troops that spawn in an acclimator. The cost would be equal to the Acclimator and the troops separately.
I downloaded and played the demo last night. The wall building is cool and freeform building is cool, but some of my main gripes about the original remain. The biggest one is the face plastered to the monitor effect of the horibly short zoom range. The max zoom out is way too close.
The only way I can see persistent damage as being inplemented without messing with the executable is through LUA. Whether this would work or not is difficult to determine yet. Another problem is how to get it to work with multiplayer, while keeping cheating from occuring.
Well, the autoresolve is in the game but I don't intend to use it either, unless playing the computer and have an extremely rediculous advantage like 100+ pop cap fleet vs space station and a few ships.
