  3. All I can say is that I can't wait to the full game. It's true that we are able to mod the demo, but it still leaves with with wanting more and more, which is why some of us are very exited for the full game released on Feb 16. Oh and BTW, I know you have heard this already and ill say it again, you guys did an amazing job.
  4. I'm not talking about game balance, I'm talking about the balance of the story line. If an event that occurred in episode 6 like ackbar and home one, you put them before their time, like including them between episode III and IV, instead of their original time that is episode 6 it breaks the continuity and balance of the story line.
  5. Is not just the tie interceptor, the SSD too. They said that this game is going to follow the story line, at least for the empire for that matter, because for the rebels didn't applied. Admiral ackbar and home one show up Only at episode 6(which btw, by this time line ackbar is Tarkin's slave), but for some reason they include it in EAW, maybe it was Jesus that told them to put in the game ;D, you know how this works, always the good guys wins, in George Lucas mind for that matter. But for the empire they didn't include the tie interceptors nither Lord Vader's SSD which they show up in episode 5.Whats the deal with this?, I dunno, but its a huge bad design decision, because one faction follows the story line, the other don't, and that my friends is not balance.

  10. Wait a min my friend. The first Death Star could fire on cap ships and destroy planets, the reason why we didn't saw it on episode is because Grand Moff Tarkin use it to destroy planets. The death star II was build with the same schematics of the first death star. Palpatine use it to destroy cap ships in episode 6, because the second death star wasn't finish yet and he use it for defense. Why do you think tarking didn't brought with him the imperial fleet to attack yavin 4?,because the death star is " The ultimate power in the galaxy", it's self sufficient, it has defense and offense, it can destroy planets and defend itself from incoming enemy capital ships. Why do you think Jan doddona didn't ask the rebel fleet for aid when the death star was going to attack yavin 4?, because it was going to get destroyed, the only way they had a chance to destroy the death star was by fighter attack. The reason why the rebels brought the rebel fleet to attack the death star II was because they thought it wasn't operational, thats why Admiral ackbar call for retreat at the middle point of the battle. Death star I and Death Star II are the same, done with the same schematics, only that Tarkin use it for offense and Palpatine use it for defense, both stations can target cap ships, space stations and shipyards, plus destroying a planet. Oh and btw, both death star had tie fighter and tie bomber squadrons as defense in case of fighter attack. And the most important point here is that imperials that get their death star destroyed, loose the game. It's not fair, because when the first death star was destroyed, the empire didn't lost control over the galaxy, they continue to rule and when the second death star was destroyed along with palpatine, the empire didn't lost control over the galaxy, it was a few years later that the rebellion invade Coruscant and overthrow the empire's regime, so is not fair for a player to loose an entire game for just one death star that gets destroyed.

  12. This is totally wrong. You have a big battle station that can destroy planets, but It can't defend itself nor your fleet by using its laser canon on capital ship and on top of it, when Luke destroy it the game is over for imperials, oh hell no. Then what is worth to build it anyways?, I could take the risk on building it if the death star could target capital ships , space stations and shipyards, but just to have it sit down on a planet like a fat cow waiting for Luke to screw my game, hell no.

I understand that, but you are forgeting that the only one that can destroy a death star is luke. lets say for example that you are the type of player that likes to have complete control over the galaxy(no planet destruction). Then you can't build a death star, because you can't even use it for planetary defense or fleet defense. It's a technology you can't use and that's a disavantage, because the rebels can use their complete tech tree and all their use units can defend and offense, while the death star porpuse is to destroy a planet.
  14. Well, you loose the chance to destroy the Death Star if you are using the rebels. ;D
  15. I don't know you guys, but I find that they are well balance. Don't forget that heroes are supposed to be more powerfull than regular units. It's the way you use it that is going to determine how long they will die, for example, if you send captain piett alone against 3 or 4 mon calamari cruiser's, he is going to die eventually, same with boba fett. Now, the only hero I think is a bit overpowered is the millenium falcon, but nerf it is not the answer, look at what happend to star wars galaxies with the lots of nerfing. The solution to this matter is to have an option that can be turn on and off at any time, to make heroes dies and don't come back.
  16. Sounds cool, but are we really going to build a very expensive Death Star just to station it anywhere without the ability to defend itself until you want to destroy a planet? . The hypervelocity gun idea is cool, but don't forget that you can only build one Death Star.

  19. I don't think there is going to be a problem with that. Don't forget that the mod legacy of war is working with is going to include the eclipse ssd which is bigger. I'm more worried about the efficiency the Death Star is going to have if the purpose of it is to destroy planets, but no defense capabilities.

I ask because I believe that if the Death Star can only fire on planets, its going to be useless then, because if you station it on one of your planet and by any chance the rebels come to attack that planet, you are going to have a big battle station that can't defend itself, while the rebels eat your planet for breakfast.
  21. In that case, can it be moded so it can fire on cap ships and space stations or we should wait for the expansion?
  22. Anyone knows how to use the death star to fire on spce stations or rebel capital ship?. Im playing the demo using the mod and when I bring a death star to the battlefield I can't destroy a space station or a rebel capital ship. Devs said that the Death Star was going to be able to shoot space sations and capital ships.
  23. Im planing to use 6 tie fighter squadrons, Darth vader in his tie advance and boba fett to kill his ass.
  24. Dont forget that the only one that can destroy the Death Star is luke with lucky shot. ;D
