  1. When I think about it, it seems that controlling the space above a planet will be more important than I have thought. You see, if a planet loses it's space to the invaders, they've got their backs against the wall. No way to get reinforcements, stuck with the low number of units on the ground because of the pop cap. If you don't get the space back, you're doomed. No matter how many turrets you build, no matter how well you cover the reinforcement points, you're doomed, because the enemy can just poor in more and more units. This does make sense in a way, but the bad part is that you can't defeat your opponent by just defending your ground base. If the enemy is determined to get the planet, they will not stop attacking no matter what the casualties are. Seems like owning the space will be extremely vital.
  2. I was a bit worried too, but not anymore. Even my laptop can run this.
  3. WTF Homokaasu? That's Finnish for Gaygas. 86% good, nice.
  4. Great job with the Executor, but isn't it a bit thin?
  5. When I clicked the link my computer crashed. When I put it back on, it started running all these virus scans. I hate you, Ghostly.
  6. Well the 20-slot unit cap in space is acceptable when you can always call reinforcements when your ships are destroyed, but 10 for ground is just too low. How is it even possible to effectively defend a planet with 10 or less units against a force that can land more troops again and again? If the enemy controls the space they are the only ones capable of landing more troops, so the pop cap doesn't hurt them. The defending force, however, will only have the original 10 units at their disposal. Insane.
  7. There is a 10 slot unit pop-cap in ground combat? I thought that was the building cap.
  8. They took out the Venator and left THIS?!
  9. WTF?
  10. Love it.
  11. 9.156! I am the undisputed lord and master of the world! Decapitate those who will not bow to my unquestionable excellence!
  12. *Force Kills (KotOR) everyone except G_S and then annoys the hell out of him by drinking good ol' Lapin Kulta beer right in front of him. In case your crazy storyline had G_S killed already then I revived him.* Happy new year!
  13. I'm interested. I like Mandalorians, that's why. You're re-writing the story? Hopefully you wont ruin the mod by making the Sith too dominant.
  14. -Better single player-campaign -More planets -Bigger space battles -Better hero controls
  15. My cousin was playing the guitar (he sucked that time, normally he's great) in my grandma's funeral and I started laughing for some unknown reason. Oh god the wounds, they haunt me still...
  16. There's no point in me writing this, 'cause you should have been here when it happened to understand, but here goes: I was playing Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for Gamecube. The battle I was in was quite simple: Protect Princess Elincia's cabin entrance on your ship's deck. The enemies were pirates and crow-people. I moved my characters like normal without seeing the lonely crow-man hovering near my ship. The enemy turn begins, and the crow-man flies straight into the unprotected cabin. You probably dont understand what's so funny about it, as I said, you should have been there. Part of the funnyness were the facts that the crow flew in a perfect L-shape pattern (pretty stiff) and it moved really fast. Okay, most of you must think I'm somehow insane after reading this...
  17. I will probably play as the Rebels, so Imperial March is out of question. That said I'll choose A Hero Falls. (I hope that was the name, I'm not sure. Anyway, its that music that plays in the Anakin vs. Kenobi fight in Episode III)
  18. YAY! Edit: Oh, and merry christmas to you all, too.
  19. I'm glad I wont be called into the army until after a few years... This is bad news anyway but I feel exceptionally sorry for Nuke.
  20. Based on the interviews, I'm pretty sure the diplomacy in this game happens like this: In campaing, and only in campaing, there are missions, like "Smuggle food for the Wookies", and if you complete them, the neutral planet joins you.
  21. You already got involved, dumbass! Oh no, just remembered he's a moderator... I mean unfortunately you technically already got involved, Popcorn, sir! There are no girls here, face it.
  22. I realize that, they were cheaper and in higher numbers, so they would have won. Anyway, they were the better solution. The "they would have looked like the CIS"-point is good though.
  23. Merry Christmas and a happy new year, Petroglyph! Thank you for your enlightening replys here in PFF as well as the effort you are putting into this game. I wish you the best of luck from Finland! ___________________________________________________________ Hyvää joulua ja onnellista uutta vuotta! -The Relentless-
  24. New character? New Snake on the spot? Sorry if I misunderstood what you meant by that, (At least I have an excuse, for I am from Finland) but the Snake in the MGS4 trailers is the same Solid Snake. He is a clone, so he ages really fast, that explains why Otacon doesn't look so old.
  25. Man I love these. Everyone visit http://albinoblacksheep.com/ The prank-section is lovely.
