  1. That blender thing is free right?
  2. Well, yes. I would want to get the stargate feel to the mod, the ships are there for the ass-kicking.
  3. You should show it off here cain: http://rtw.heavengames.com/cgi-bin/forums/display.cgi?action=t&fn=9 Since I know you registered at SWGB heaven, you'll be able to log in there as well.
  4. Well you would for one need to use space invasion fleets since if te gate is in the middle of the enemy base it wouldn't be smart to open it into a weapon barrage.
  5. Thanks. You don't how much I appreciate that
  6. EDIT: never mind, mystery solved.
  7. Well since EaW looks like such a good game with a community I've never felt more good in ( ) I think I'm going to try my hand with modding for once (see my two topics on mod ideas). I have a few questions though: -Where can I download a free modeling program? -can microsoft image editor be used for skinning? I think when I get around to modding I'll probably try and see who would want to help me with coding.
  8. I was thinking along the lines of An asgard protected planets faction-a mix of asgard fleets (with human back-up), human ground teams (with some asgard back-up) and rebel Jaffa (ground troops) all together vs. the goa'uld. The wraith could be modded in as a sort of goa'uld ally, and I don't really know much about the Ori yet. The tok'ra could be in as a spin-off of the Goa'uld and the replicators would be a small sub-faction who would not build ships or bases but take them over. A sort-off campaign only enemy. Stargates could be use to transport troops around neutral and controlled planets-transporting to an enemy-controlled planet would not be possible. Naquadria would be the primary resource, and I think we could throw in zero point engines as a bonus at times that could be out-fitted into some ships to give them a boost. The APP could get local humans to assist in fighting and the Goa'uld would simply enslave local populace. That's all my thoughts for now.
  9. I'd like to sa first I had a lovely holiday and second say didn't we already point out that that ship is the demolisher-class SD? It looks more like it than the decimator or the liberator, so that's where my money is.
  10. It's been completely dissolved. Soem are in petro, some are in EALA, a few quit.
  11. Unfortunantly no. Remember EA holds those licenses.
  12. It ain't the decimator it's a demolisher-class star destroyer.
  13. On second thoughts........ Nine-year old kid in chat room: "I'm gonna play the empire they lyk roxxors!" Me: "Whatever." *picks rebels* Kid: "Hah! My ships are so big they are coolor than your gay x-wings luk is a whiner roflmao" Me: "Whatever." *activates mines* Kid: "WTF how did my ships get beat you hax" Me: "Whatever." *captures his ships and turns on him* Kid: "Your a haxxor you're no fun this game is bad it's crap it's gay!" *leaves* Moral: read the manual.
  14. Poor rebels..they're going got be so outnumbered.....
  15. We all know what really drew us to this game was that it was star wars-come on, George lucas can do as bad a job he can ( ) we still love SW. So when EaW comes out and is the great game we all expect it to be, will you support petroglyph with their next game? and their next? It would be shallow to support them for a single licensed game. Hopefully EaW will give Petroglyph a big community of fans, which I forsee, since EaW is a game that is being made with such a good relationship between Developers and fans (mainly thanks to these forums, and of course Cain and Ismael )
  16. There's no GLA in the german version? Why?
  17. Better idea: free beta test. And not through f-ing fileplanet either. The AI can only do things the way the developers expect things to happen. Units need to be tested by players so that it will be balanced as the community-and the consumers for that matter-feel happy with it.
  18. I agree. Luckily these forums aren't as nooby as the lucasarts forums but unfortunantly even if we had the discussion here we'd find ourselves up to the necks with idiots. I was coincidently thinking about salvage too. But rather than it automatically going to credits, how about you get a store of salvage and can then sell it or us it to repair units for free or use it to cheapen units? Certain ships would give more salvage, like SD's, and some ships could get a btetter deal on slavage, like assualt frigates.
  19. There were some rumours that EALA are currently going to make Tiberian twilight (as well as BFME 2).
  20. Some things that have been bugging me. Do you think the imperials are going to get their own version of the old Republic gunship? As the imperial answer to the airspeeder (well, sort of. It would probably be much more expensive, with heavier weapons and the ability to carry troops. Plus it would also probably be slower.) Also, do you think we're goin got see the rebel v-wing airspeeder? Not the v-wing fighters from ROTS, the v-wing airspeeders from the EU. Yes, confusing, a little slip-up methinks. Finally, did anyone else notice those rebel air-ships in the Trailer? In the shot with the force-field? Others say they were rebel transports, but they didn't look that way to me. p.s. I won't be making any posts for a few days since I will be on holiday.
  21. It's just you Interestingly, why is the x-wing upside down in that shot? Did the pilot have one too many Rodian beers?
  22. I can see you won't be seeing star wars much longer neither will all the EU haters. So why not put EU stuff in. I don't hate the EU. I'm just saying they want to make this game sell, not make players go, "Who?" when they're playing.
  23. Well we are seeing it from the side. The dipping wings are odd though.
  24. On closer inspection, it's not the decimator, it's the demolisher class Star destroyer. Nuts.
  25. No the other ship-the one with the TIEs above it. on close inspection, it appears to be a mon cal.
