  2. Your always on top of things man, great pic's! I agree with Ismal, vechials need to be just a bigger, to really give a feel of the feeling big war machines have on infintry and your opponent.
  3. What about tractor beams scooping up fighters? Lancers equipt with special tractor beams could really decimate rebel fighters, or corettes vs ties

  5. They're going to all those casino's around, and enjoying there excellent buffets, usually including excellent seafood, steaks, and anything else u can probably imagin. Afterwards, they have a nap, wake up, play some ping pong to get some excersise and there brains functioning, and feel rested, relaxed, tention gone, and work on EaW

I agree, SSD's should cost a bit more, but be able to build as many as u can afford, providing u meet the build requirements (example, requiring kuat and fondor systems) As for a counter, the MC90 would be nice. It's not huge, but it's a powerful crusier, capable of matching Imp Star Duces, and in numbers, counter SSD's. I agree it's not "rebel" to have huge ships, like the SSD, at least not in this time period. Even when i'm rebels, i'd be fun to challage an SSD with MC80's and 90's and fighters. Very star warsy. And would be very fun
  7. 1) Will EaW Make an offical classes of all ships, with offical stats and size. Will petro be working with LA to make an offical cannon of ships and stats?There is great debate everywhere what certain classes of ships look like, armlements, size ect. Especially with more unknown ships like the Mon Cal classes. 2) Orbital bombardment ability?

  9. I know I'd rather have number of SSD's instead of a DS. I know DS are fun. But from a stragegic stanpoint, it's not a good idea to destroy resourses and credits, and also hero's, when u can take em over by force, aka SSD's muah'ahaha!

As for capturing ships - of which they said we couldn't, but could capture buildings, i have another post in the capital ship building thread, on a sort of compromise to the capturing of large capital ships. Always the argument is that the ship has too much crew, or something to that effect. My idea is the ability to capture an enemy shipyard. If there is something building there, for example a Star Destroyer. U have the opertunity to either sucttle it and get reinbursed for the credits, or finish the construction yourself. Once the ship is complete, the plans would be used, and no more could be constructed. It would keep captured ships rare, but prized vessels. Naturally u would have to also control the planet, and pay for the maintence of the ship. Morale is a tricky thing. Trained captains and crews wouldn't panic per say, if engaged by a larger force. They would do there jobs, even if it ment there lives, because of there beliefs and or traning to that particular faction. There are circomstances of course, but i don't think it would be a good additon, at least to space combat.
  11. I agree with stellar. Build conditions is something that would ballance the game, and at the same time make it plausable. And having a few SSD's around would be very nice.

  21. The Liberator crusier in SW: Rebellion was a very strong crusier/carrier. She could hold 6 sqadrons of fighters, 2 or 3 units of ground troops, and take on an Imp Star without much difficulty.
  22. I agree, it's always good to get a fresh perspective on something, seeing things that may have been missed, espeically if it may be in plain site, and u didn't notice, lol. Other things i was thinkin was ballancing, and i'm sure they mentioned in an interview that every week they would play a fresh version of the newly updated eaw, finding bugs and ballancing issues. It also looks like they're making models and explosions better. Adding more music, sound effects, unit voices and all that jazz.
  23. That's a good way for a new guy to start deffinatly. There are other tactics deffiantly, and once u get the hang of it, u'll figure them out. Even more underhanded and sneaky ones, muah'ahaha
  24. I like the idea. However, I'd make the timeline just after the 8th season, and make it Humans vs Goa'uld. Earth now has a small fleet, With that new Class of ship (and of course i can't remember the class, plus atlantis isn't on space yet) Earth starts to expand diplomatic relations to other space faring planets, plus the few that are around there tecnological lvl, in an attempt to battle the gould. With the loss of anubis, and the damage inflicted by the replicators and the jaffa rebellion, earth could stand a chance to build up. Maybe Earth would have the ancient outpost on the planet as a defenceive structure when they start out, discouraging any gould player from striking early on. Not to mention the large amount of x-302's, the promethus, and that other new battleship. If it was possible to add a 3rd species, then definatly the Asgard! Hmm but how to add the stargate system to the game. Perhaps once u control a planet, and it has a stargate, u can deploy an expedition team, and they find the gate, if not already used by the civilization on the planet. Once the stargate is set up, u can put an iris on it, and instantly send ground units to other planets. Reinfocements wouldn't be a prob. Earth would start with beta site, maybe even a couple others, like.. can't remember name of the planet, the one with naqadrina, jonas qinns home planet. Maybe i'll think of more later
