  1. I am one who didn't get moderator powers back.
  2. Post count never really mattered, since we all know each other well. It is the topics we lost and info, but lots of things can be remembered and brought back.
  3. Yeah. Also at first, I thought the whole thing was dream that Balter was having when in got drunk and sleeped on his desk. Because he has lots of dreams and is crazy. But then it went on for the rest of the epsoide, and next season looks like it goes into it even more, so I guess that might me out.
  4. It will come down to the half breed some how. How many years have passed, when they settle on the planet?

  7. I love Mechwarrior, too. The depth of playing Mechwarrior 4 is huge to me. You all tell that I am a fan of Dune by the quote in my Sig. Of course I like all original C&C, but Dawn and Tiberian Sun is my favorite. How third world countries united and broke the chains of slavery from the World Powers.
  8. 1. Use Tie maulers, cheap, and they can't take out all 5 at once. 2. Same as 1 3. AA turrets (or AT-AA if they use them a lot) , they take them down so fast 4. Just got to get in close. I know it may not be as simple as I said it. But you have got to learn counters, instead of complaining first.

  10. I barely even visit those forums any more. Petroglyph knows about our forum and the LucasArts forum. It might be good having two different forums with two different ways of feedback. Although I don't know how bad it is there. It shows that people really need a patch, but ours help will make the next patch better and not rushed. There will always be complainers like those of the LucasArts forum.
  11. We all know what Vader says when he kills Obi-Wan. But I wanted to find out what Obi-wan says when he wins. I know in a equal fight that Darth Vader will always win. So I lower Vader's health down to red, and I send in Obi-wan to finish him off. But some how Vader won the fight. So the second time I tried it, I got Vader's health down to the lowest point that it can be. Right before Obi-wan goes into the dual, I put force protection on him. They dual for a while, the protection wears off and obi-wan's health goes down to red, I use force heal, it goes down as low as Darth Vader's health. But then obi-wan wins, right when I think he is about to lose. He says something like "The darkside will never win." I was playing on Galactic Conquest. I assume it's the same way with Land Tactical battles. If Vader is more powerful, it means kept obi-wan away from him. I know I should try it more then twice to find out if it is random, or if Darth Vader is always more powerful. I am just wondering if any one else notice Vader's power In a dual. When the Emperor is around half health, obi-wan can kill him.
  12. Well most everytime you will lose more with it then fighting the battle. The best thing I have tryed is have a few of every type of units. Plenty of Y-wings, Corvettes, X-wing and a pair or more for everything else. Also it not a tool to win important battles. It for when you are going to win no matter what. Like against transports, much smaller fleets that you over power eith only your first wave. You will still lose units in auto-relsove, even if you wouldn't if you fought. No tactics are considered when auto-reslove is used. It's what you got vs what they got.
  13. Did you read it, they are working on the patch. A small company like Petroglyph needs to put out a game almost every year. Some times twice a year. I don't know what EA is thinking, but assume everything is about money with them. Patches don't give them much money.
  14. I never had the DS go for Yavin after Alderaan. Mine always went for Kessel or Kuat. I think Red Squadron comes when they are done talking.
  15. You should have an Icon of Luke in the upper right of the screen. If there is a blue outline over top of it means they died. But it sounds like you don't even get that far. I suggest going back to a different save, so some kind of trigger can be actived.
  16. It all depends on how it is done. I assume it is for Land Skirmish and/or Land Control. Will the pop cap still be a max of ten or will it go up. Lets say someone loses all of their reinforcement points on the map and they have stock pile of units that he didn't get on the map before he lost the RPs. Will they be able to bring in more then just three or four units that the home base RP has. Only being able to fight with a small amount of units to defend and take back RPs might be strange. One of the units would have to be infantry to take back an RP. And the rest to support that infantry unit and/or defend the base. Of course the maps will be well thought out, so it easy to fight back and take back RPs. It depends on how many units you can have from your main reinforcement point. I think I may have made it sound more harder then it would be, but I am just thinking of the worst. Land control is already about map control, and it sounds like it will be the same way just you have to destroy the enemy base with your advantage. It's hard to assume if this will have a positive or negative effect; since I haven't played or I don't have enough details to make the right assumption. If you describe all the details or give us a scenario what can happen, the better feedback we can give. sagboy, This topic isn't about that, he is asking for opinions on the idea of new gameplay feature. There is a whole team working on the game. The fixes will come, this is just not the place to discuss it. Heck we have a whole sub-fourm about it.
  17. When I fight Mon Cals, I tend to go for the ion cannons first, because they can take down shields fast. When facing Home One use bombers or Captain Piett's proton beam to knock out the shields generator. As rebel use gunships in support of any unit. They take out hardpoints with it's missiles. So if a AFF or mon cal is taking all the hits, use these to take out specific hardpoints out. Can use them in groups with y-wings to take out engines or shields, good for hit and run. Use the full speed to get out of there to save units. An undefended space station only needs four or five bombers to take out the shield generators. Use Tie Scout to out flank or surprise attack your enemy from behind. Works great with Tie bombers, or your hidden fleet that hasn't been deployed. Go for the Communcation's array second, so all your units are not on the enemies radar. Use interdictor to close the enemy off from reinforcements from a certain area. Use missile boats to finish off the enemy space station, they do great damage against it. When attacking ISDs, good to go for hangers first, because they have 10 Tie groups, and 5 bomber Tie groups.   18. Because it would be to easy to exploit. You send a group of fighters or recon it with Tie Scouts, Send in your fleet from the side or from behind. Also if you build turrets, they get left behind if they are not destroyed, and the invader has the ability to reinforce there. I bet they have their reason why and also that they tested different option. Space combat is a lot different from land combat.
  19. It just someting you have to plan for. There is no problem, it just you have to use strategy when making your fleets over boarder planets with the enemy. You get to choose in land battles because your forces have to spawn in reinforcement spots instead of anywhere on the map like space battles. Just one of the reason I think.
  20. There are two cameras, space bar and the 'c' button. C button will follow a ship that you have selected. I also use zoom in and rotate to get screenshots I want to get. Also use pause for ssingle player battles so you can take the shot or get ready.
  21. I just hope it doesn't conflict with the Petroglyph/Sega Project. Seems like this will divide the team up a lot. Sega project, EaW patch/map packs/editor tools, and now an expack. Unless it will be work on later. But I don't know how things are run at Petroglyph, so It could work. What we want would be nice (Or not needed), but what we need is more important.
  22. I haven't played the map online yet, but in skirmish matches with AI there are some problems. Rebel units will fire and attack the background Empire units next to the shipyards. Also when I select all units as Empire, I get the background units in my list below, even the transports. Not a big deal, but they can be annoying. I don't know if this was done on purpose to give both sides a different disadvantage on this map.
  23. If I use the planet as ground defense only, I will have more then one of the same buldings on it. Also if I am bringing in plenty of money form other sectors, I will build up one planet with lots of advance factories so I can build walkers a lot faster. Like a planet byss with six or more advance factories is nice iof you want it. Most of the time though I don't do this.
  24. You should try the rebel single player campaign on hard. I had the Empire AI using ISD around the Kashyyk mission with Han Solo. I little bit later the ground forces were using AT-ATs. I had a lot of close battles in the rebel campaign on hard. The AI for me build a lot of broadsides, Tartan, and VSDs. With the occasional ISD. I had to make two strong points in space at Kuat and Nal Hutta, and made a land defense base a Bothawui that the Empire sent most of it's ground forces at.
  25. You have to take a screenshot first, then it gives you folder. Using the default F12 button I think.
