  1. Google killbox and use-it well...
  2. I think I sent these to him too.
  3. I think you've got to adapt the texture size to the model size. But that's also beyond my knowledge
  4. Oh, I can't possibly play the game again without 'em There are very great new models out there. There are some great new cards too, but I had to optimize most of them to get an acceptable balance between them and the "reality" of star wars. Frankly, I am very happy with what I've got. I also got a mod that permit to write more than the usual 3 lines in encyclopedia and that's worth a lot to me. Nah, you cannot de modify the apex of perfection (apart from planet localization that is...)!
  5. I'll just try to e-mail you with the files themselves. Pm me you e-mail
  6. I think there was some mention about size factor in the model tutorials. What you'd need is to extract the .x files, which are the model files. You would then have to resize them with wathever editor is mentioned in the tutorial. Then you'd have to recompile the stuff and import-it back with the model importer. Ain't gonna be easy though...
  7. I would love too, but my game's far too modified to be able to play with anyone
  8. You've got 3 kind of .x's: far, medium and close range. If you import only one .x you'll have to be either far, medium range or close ranged to see the imported model, while the 2 other view should show the old model views of this particular ship. That is if I remember correctly... And yup, Rebed can be pretty lousy to preview some models, so I wouldn't advise that you preview your model this way, but in-game...
  9. The dead horse doesn't thank you I don't know about the .bin, but I'm sure abour .x and .rmd, the latter being a kind of archive containing .x's. The question IU gotta ask is what you need this knowledge for? To do some modelling?
  10. Okay, I suggest that the encyclopedia pic be modified to remove the black background. You could also try to reskin the saber a bit with the games palette to make it fit more smoothly...
  11. You cannot upload them on this site anymore. You could try sites such as "mediafire.com" "megaupload.com" and else to host them and publish the link here to make them at least temporarily available for free.
  12. You may upload your images at imageshack.us or any image server in order to show them here!
  13. Here's what I've got to make the model importer work: I created a folder inside the rebellion folder: C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Rebellion\import Named-it import as you can see. I took the content of the rmodimp_en.zip and droped-it (extracted-it) right into the aforementioned folder. Then, I downloaded Ressource Hacker (googled for it, really). I installed-it, found where it was and dropped the content of this folder too to: "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Rebellion\import" After that, your'e all set. All you gotta do is drop any .rmd file into this folder: "C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Rebellion\import\import" and click on the "rmodimp_win.exe" and follow the instructions. Same thing for the .x files.
  14. If I remember correctly, the espionage value has no passive effect. Meaning that a character with 500 espionage that is sitting duck in a system would not detect anything. You'd need him to have a leadership value to get some detection and some units to lead. Otherwise, the espionage has an active value, meaning you can take your unit to make a mission, either probing or espionage and might then find an intruder. However, this is no good, as you'll have to always restart these missions and it gets long...
  15. spec force doesn't. characters can if theyr'e either general with troops or commander with fighters or sensitive to the force trying to detect another sensitive to the force.
  16. Is there going to be a new alpha/demo version? One that has more than just 4 sectors about-it...?
  17. Slocket, have you taken a look on the sectors I proposed that you tried to do on DarthTex's Galaxy topic??? What do you think about these suggestions?
  18. Here's a few you could add: Hutt Space (Nal Hutta and Nar Shadaa are mandatory, even though one's the other one's moon) I'd also add: Ylesia Sleheyron Kessel could be included there http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/7/79/Hutt_rgb_lg.jpg Chiss Ascendancy (Csilla mandatory) I'd also add: The Redoubt Station Geroon http://images.wikia.com/starwars/ja/images/a/a7/ChissAscendancy.jpg Mon Calamari space (Mon Calamari mandatory) I'd also add: New Alderaan Munto Codru http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/starwars/images/4/4a/MonCalSpace.jpg Pentastar Alignment (this one is huge and filled with important planet!!) Among em': Bastion Rimcee Station Taspir (seen in JKA) Sernpidal (close from there) Dubrillion and Destrillion Jaemus (not sure why, the name rings a bell to me...) Dantooine (hello...) Muunilist Ord Trasi (new republic base, at some point, if I am not mistaken) Mygeeto (EIII hello!) Morishim (rings a bell too, not sure why again...) Yaga Minor (SHIPYARDS!!) By the way, yup, Yaga Minor's there. FAR from coruscant... Garqi and on and on, looking at this map, you'll see a number of rebellion familiar lokking name... so yeah, this would help loads to aid accuracy! http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/4/40/PentastarAlignment.jpg The Corporate Sector too important to be forgotten. Way too big. They said that it was once the 2nd most powerful government (1st being the Empire...). Planet of interest in my opinion: Bonadan Etti ... Anyway, for this sector, I'd take those and maybe Mythus, I'd take the ones from the map that were in the original rebellion for description purpose and a few more. But yeah, we lack a corporate sector =D http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/7/7b/Corporate_sector.jpg Hapes cluster Well, it need to get a part in the star wars galaxy. But which to choose? Hapes mandatory Arabanth Cheruba Dreena Reboam Sennex Maires http://images.wikia.com/starwars/images/2/21/HapesClusterMap-TEA.jpg Well, that's what I can think of for now. I'd also like to add the planets from Allegiance Novel from Zahn (Teardrop, Drunost and else), but that'd be too hard me think... By the way, here's a much better galaxie map (linkie only, huge stuff ahead!) http://eheheheh.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/star-wars-map-high-res_15002.jpg
  19. Nah, the EaW models looks often undersized. Unless they are resized, they would not correspond. I especially don't like the Imperial Star Destroyer models, which looks just plain wrong. The models on this website are way better, in my opinion (though they have their problems too, unless these problems are strictly linked to the engine....)
  20. I agree with this. Maybe it could be a button that you double click, for example, where the Legend used to be...
  21. God, I used the side pannel all the time!!!! But unlike Mister Ramikin, who seems to want every mod as vanilla as possible, I think the Rebellion concept could definetly be improved. Unfortunately, I lack the knowledge of implanting such things as a "new class". I know a fighter is supposedly a 3d model, but back in rebellion, they are but a moving ".gif". What I'd like is for said patrol ship to be about as agile, but not be moving images nor stiff capital ships. It would render them more dynamic. A little like Empire at War, but without the boring limits and restrictions that made this game so inferior to Rebellion.
  22. Okay, then the loyalty system is working fine as it is. Will take time to get used to though. My resolution is 1366x768 and as it is, it is my maximum resolution. This is unfortunate, because I can't seem to fit the whole thing in my sceen without the taskbar gattin' in the way. Fortunately, my other computer handle's it pretty well. By the way, master xan, the reason it is working is he fixed the link. I'm using firefox too, just FYI. Slocket, did you tought of using the models from X-Wing Alliance Upgrade Project? They've got quite a few model released and it might be useful in the future. Also, one thing I think seriously lacked from the vanilla game is 2 ship class. The freighter class furiously lacked in ability. It should have had more manoeuvrability (just think of the YT-1300 model they did, which was hell to rebalance with RebEd to get-it to be decently able against fighters and comparatively weak against ship, with the IA building armies of them.). The other class that should have a more proper attention is the station class. This one needs some attention and some thinking. Should they be movable from system to system? I think not. The IA used to attack me with fleet of them. However, there is the matter of deploying them. Here's my idea: if there are stations, they should be movable from allied system to allied system. Very slowly that is, so as to discourage big movement of these. However, the first deployment, from its place of construction to its place of deployment should be somehow shorter, to allow a better balance.
  23. First thing: you should add .com to the adress of the download. Only way to get-it to work. Then, I tried rebel side. Looking in the Fakir sector, it seems to me that the loyalty system is not working properly. This one is working properly: Ando/Rebel Alignment/Strong Rebel Loyalty/Big Red Star These aren't Berchest/Imperial Alignment/Strong Imperial Loyalty/Big Green Star Now in rebellion, when the ennemy had strong loyalty to the planet, you would get a small star from that planet. Halowan/Neutral Alignment/Loyalty Mostly Rebel/Very small star Halowan is okay, if it is neutral. However, the H does not display properly... Mrisst/Imperial Alignment/Strong rebel Loyalty/Very small star Star should be bigger. Hope any of this helps...
  24. Worked under windows 7 32 bits. However, textures are quite stretched. Same issue about imperial movie for rebels here. Anyway, keep on the good work. Those planets look very good.
  25. I'm not sure we had the same RebEd...
