Totally cant wait til Saw III. Looks real good. I loved the second one, totally rad. i was always interested to see Stay Alive, but noone else i knew was. So.. have yet to see it. And critics do blow, its always best to listen to your friends and whatnot especially because you know their tastes and they know yours so you can judge off that usually. @Def: Yea man, that totally freaked me out too.. lol. i still scare some of my friends time to time by standing in a corner like that.. lol

I can see what you're saying there AI. I guess I'm just cynical when it comes to mankind really. Enlightenment and knowledge are two conecepts that I consider very important in life, but it just seems to me that people today are happy in their willful ignorance and naïveté. Because of this happiness, I find it hard that they will lose their fear of death by any means, especially through the abandonment of religion. Moreso I think that we have made the advances we have made through the fear of death. If we didnt fear death we would accept our fate and we wouldnt have made innoculations in order to fight it off. So are you saying that Death, being a part of life shouldn't be feared but accepted? And through this acceptance we should no longer focus on avoiding it but instead focus our energies on other things such as advancement in science and art?

Thanks to The Grudge 2. I went to go see it last night at midnight (since it comes out today) and oh my god it was freaky. Not scary like the first. Freaky. I am totally freaked out... I could barely sleep last night.. and then get up four hours later for work (that part sucked) but it was all worth it.... totally freak me out... So.... if you are interested... GO SEE IT!

now that i will agree with.. its not worth paying 3000 dollars US for a TV then on top of that another 50 bucks a month for the digital cable plus the 5 dollars per month for HD service plus 8 per month for the HD box thats required.. it adds up way too fast.. and you only get a limited amount of channels which you probably will never watch anyway... and wont come in true HD either...

I as well haven't had a chance to read the second one yet AI but the first one was quite impressive. I think you jump to a couple conclusions without explaining how though. And when you started talking in seconds it was a nice touch but confusing at first. However, I am not trying to criticize. To provide a counter-point, if death were no longer an issue to this society I don't think God would cease to exist but rather his support would dwindle. Most people fear God due to the possible damnation to hell and therefore act accordingly to get into heaven. If God, Hell, Heaven and the whole concept of an afterlife were for the most part left behind I think our society would turn to Chaos instead of Enlightenment. Even during The Enlightenment period God was present in day to day life, if not more so. I am not religious so this is not an argument for God, rather an argument for faith. If people were to not believe in a system of cosmic retribution whether through God or some other device that is yet unknown, I feel man would become more self-centered and destructive. This does not apply to all but one thing that is true in my mind is that man only acts good due to God's wrath. Take that away, and you will have a society of evil deeds. At least until those people are taken care of. But that could be the majority of society and that would take a while. Drive around today and see how many people are "nice" solely because they want to be. I think you will find that most people are "just nice enough" to feel like they aren't evil. Take away death, take away God, and you can take away that.

Wow, i think that may give me nightmares there Rob... I remember that whole "Poison Candy Scare" going down. Seems as though it was yesterday. I never believed it... but it did put the scare in me... and it has stuck to this day.

Did anyone know his real name? I cant seem to recall if he ever mentioned it, at least publicly. And Tofu, if you ever go with your mom to the grocery store.. they might have stamps there. At least, I think they should... thats how things work around where I live. Then you can just pop the letter in your mailbox with the other mail that goes out. no complicated trip to the Post Office or anything then

Tofu, I hate to break it to you.. but high def channels wont come in high def on a regular tv... they'll look regular. And that stuff at the store, its possible (though doubtful) that they arent playing a high def channel for demo. Go to Best Buy and check out the tv's again man... and make sure you ask the dude if they have high def tv's and if its playing a high def channel... screw movies.. im not sure anyone will be able to tell the difference there... especially since they are not filmed in high def.. (blueray is a rip off).. check out like.. discovery science HD with that tv... i KNOW you will be able to tell the difference.

This was on msn today... i knew it was bad.. and this proves it... the link came from this article which is about the obese youth in the U.S. And I agree, if parents took a more active role in their kids lives these days it probably wouldnt be as bad. And if parents learned that it was bad to take your four month old to McDonalds and Restaurants and feed them that food... I seriously saw that over the weekend.. it was horrifying.

my work just got a new HDTV in the conference room... and man... it is sweet!.. there is a difference there Tofu.. between HD and regular.. but as to regular TV on a plasma versus CRT.. my eyes arent good enough to notice a large difference.. but there is a slight one i think.. i got this huge pdf file from the I.T. guy here at work.. there are many different types out there.. just not sure if i can tell them all apart.. or notice the difference itself..
