Ah k.. see.. a bit of a shocker to most of you maybe.. ive only seen AotC maybe twice and RotS once.. so i dont remember them all that well... but i have seen Phantom Menace quite a few times... and what i thought you were talking about.. as you could tell... was the super fast running Qui Gon and Obi Wan did at the beginning of the movie.. and never shown again.. even when the times called for it... but going on.. as Evaders mentioned it was a different time that called for different measures.. and GL backed it up with saying that its a younger time with the Jedi in their prime so we are going to see things we've never seen before.. such as spectacular duels... but whether or not any of that justifies the BS of Yoda walking feeble one minute and then all agile and matrix-esque the next is a different story... but ill leave that up to y'all.. i never found a justification though.. hehehe

that hilarious.. my mom makes amazing pork chops... but anyways... i just thought... why the hell weren't the Nazca Lines a choice?... i think those deserve at least a nomination.. definately over the statue of liberty..

Not very badly really.... it just takes some miscalculation.. and if my job has taught me anything.. is that miscalculation can happen quite easily and unless you check your numbers methodically or have others check you methodically it could lead to failure.... trust me.. ive made an oops before..

Yea Jahled.. I'm with you on that.. I got real pissed seeing that.. it made me wonder why the hell it was never used before and why the hell didnt Obi-Wan use it when trying to get to Qui Gon and Darth Maul.. instead of getting trapped in that red field thing... that led to his masters death.. utterly convenient.. anyways.. i wont get started... But think about it this way Eagle... if they both went back and perhaps were killed?... then Luke and Leia would have NO chance instead of SOME chance... and I think Yoda knew this.. if Obi-Wan and Yoda had been killed, Luke would have never become a Jedi.. and all would have been lost... I think it was preservation since defeat was a possibility..

i heard it was real good.... i went to go see children of men last friday.. absolutely amazing.. i LOVED it.. great flick.. not all hollywood like i was afraid it would be... im hoping to go see the persuit of happiness or primeval (yes spelt like that) this weekend.. hopefully tonight.. I wasn’t aware, but apparently people are voting for the new 7 wonders of the world. Vote here. Pretty cool... to me at least. We could use some new wonders.. out of the 21 choices, I voted for: The Acropolis, Angkor Wat, Chichen Itza, Easter Island Statues, Pyramids of Giza, Stonehenge and the Taj Mahal. I debated whether or not to vote for the Taj Mahal, but it just seemed too.. impressive not to vote for it. And the Pyramids of Giza shouldn't lose their status in my opinion... but thats me. I really don't want to become involved, but I feel a need to say something: there is a distinct difference between Muslims and Islamists. I know, maybe this may seem like what some people call petty political correctness, but please be mindful and sensitive of others on these forums and making generalizations. I have many friends and I have family who are Muslim--it doesn't make them terrorists or some sort of invaders... I dont think anyone was trying to say that SOCL... besides isnt Islamist just another word for muslim? being that muslims are followers of the Islam religion??... i think you meant extremists in this case... and muslims just happen to be the terrorists in this situation... granted they are EXTREMIST muslims... but they are muslims none the less... and noone once said all muslims are terrorists.. that would be as ignorant as saying all college students are liberals.. or all americans are lazy... and so on and so on.. noone ever qualified that extremist catholics were the ones responsible for the spanish inquisition... its just known.. as its known that saddam and his cohorts are extremists... Personally I'm kinda tired of having to pussyfoot around the subject just because one person is going to cry about it... whatever happened to people being real and not sugar coating everything?..

You make a good point Tex.. 3000 is a good relatively low number in comparison to our history... even more recent would be the casualties in Vietnam.. i think that was around 60,000... that's 4000 a year!.. so.. 3000 over almost 4 years.. is pretty good.. IMO..

I find it quite interesting as well. Perhaps this is something that Lucas just wishes would die out and forgotten?.. but then again.. we all know he could care less about continuity and integrity of the story.. he just cares about cold hard cash...

that was... interesting Mad... I used to work in the photo department of a walgreens (an all purpose drug store) back in the day... and my job included opening up those disposable cameras and getting out that film.. well.. one day i opened the wrong side and put my thumb on the circuit board and created a short circuit by accident........ needless to say it caused the camera to shock me and made my hand go numb for the next two hours... it hurt.. really bad.. and its not like i didnt know what could happen the manager and myself used to mess with them and cause the short circuits with a screwdriver for fun.. just to watch it spark.. lol.. but yea.. i just put my thumb in the wrong place.. never thought about making it into a tazer though..
