  3. I play as the Empire exclusively. First research as much as possible, but put one person on each type of research. Next build a troop building world, a construction world, and a shipbuilding world in each sector you control if possible. It makes the travel time much shorter. For ships I build early on Carracks, Victory SD's, Lancers when available, and after that Star Destroyers. The best fighter mix after research is done are TIE Interceptors and TIE Defenders at a 70/30 mix ratio. Defend Imperial Center at all costs, do not weaken Coruscants defence to make an attack on somewhere else- you will regret it later. Use your diplomats to consolidate the Sessewanna sector. If the rebels have any planets there make taking them a key priority. Use the Emperor to recruit and do not move him from Imperial Center. The bonus he gives your officers is a key Imperial advantage- use it well. This is some basic advice if you need more specifics ask.-Grand Moff Conway

  5. I normally use RebEd to make sure I have a good building base on Imperial Center. I mean the greatest Empire in the Galaxy must be able to defend itself. I also have more characters who can do research, so even though I have to recruit them, I have more of a chance. - Grand Moff Conway
  6. I have the experience that the AI as the rebels anyway only goes after planets with diplomacy (that aren't mine anyway) in the outer rim, no matter what I set the Sector importance at. If it isn't colonized they don't bother with it. Go figure -Grand Moff Conway
  7. I give the rebel scum advantages but not 3 to 1 ! How quickly do they get at you?-Grand Moff Conway
  8. In reality If you look at the films an X-wing squad cannot take out a SD. I believe the various books make Star Destroyers look too weak. I mean really, A ship that can destroy a planets surface destroyed by a few X or Y-wings- it's a joke. Rant Over! Steller what changes have you made to the game? Just wondering as I change things as well to give the rebels more of a chance against me. As a matter of fact in my current game they are doing pretty good - Good story though Steller. -Grand Moff Conway

  13. There is nowhere to get it free. It sucks that you threw it away, unfortunately you will have to re-purchase it. Try LucasArts or E-Bay. I bought my second copy from Lucas but I can't remember what it cost.-Grand Moff Conway
  14. I tend to defend outer rim mining planets lightly- 1-3 Clonestormtrooper Regts., 6 TIE Interceptors that is it unless it is really important, then I'll add 3 more clones and gencores with lnr2. It is easier to send the Sector fleet to retake a lost planet than invest heavily in defense. Especially if maintenance income is tight.-Grand Moff Conway
  15. I actually have better luck sending one character only on each type of research. I have edited the game to give both sides all advanced types of facilities (Construction,Shipyards,Troop Training) from the begining so there is not as much to the facility research. But troop and ship research is even more important since I have more advanced ships to research.-Grand Moff Conway
  16. In most of my games the rebels do colonize at least some of the outer rim planets that are already colonized. I have a variety of settings for the sectors.-Grand Moff Conway
  17. Skyxnex, I have found that it works better in such cases to use the Death Stars awesome bombardment capabilities to get rid of all of the military objects on the planet without using the superlaser. It may not be as much fun, but there is no problem with popular support. If you feel the need to flex your muscles (we all do sometimes) make sure your planets are garrisoned with at least six stormtrooper units. Like you I have been there before -Grand Moff Conway PS.- I realize you probably have been playing as long as I have, but others may not have.-Paul
  18. I like Skyxnex tend not to create huge fleets. My larger fleets usually consist of: 1SSD, 3 Allegiance SD's, 3 ISD III's, 3 VSD II's, 1 Interdicter, 4 Lancers, and 3 or 4 Carracks. Loaded with CloneStormtroopers and a mix of TIE Interceptors, TIE Defenders, and Scimitar Assault bombers. It may not be huge, but it does the trick.-Grand Moff Conway
  19. As I only play as the Empire my choice is between the TIE Interceptor and the TIE Defender. Both are great fighters, the Interceptor is important to mix with the Defenders as together they are a deadly combination. -Grand Moff Conway

  25. I have just read an interview with Ian McDiarmid in which he explains that the Emperor is NOT changed by force lightning, but merely showing his true form for the first time. As a Sithlord he always has looked this way, he has been showing a front to win over Anakin and fool the casual observers. To Quote him" The Emperor that you see in the last film looks like he does because he is very old and very evil-It is what he always looked like." Ian McDiarmid-Grand Moff Conway
