How realistic are the last 15 minutes of Return of the Jedi
Trejiuvanat replied to igorimp's topic in General Discussion
Definetely, which is why I don't think they'd use Galleons as bombs, they need everything they can get their hands on... As for Hoth, X-Wing don't perform optimally in atmosphere but fare good enough, i can imagine the reason was that they didn't want to send the fighters they needed to escort the Med Transports out battling the AT-ATs. hoth was lost.. Losing X-Wings to defend a lost base doesn't make much sense. And battling AT-ATs in atmosphere would use to much fuel... They would probably have needed to refuel before they could leave the planet. Instead they used airspeeder so that when their fuel reserve is running empty they just cram the things in a freighter run to the nearest X-wing and blast away... -
I have heard as well that it may be called Rise of an Empire, I haven't heard about any trailers. My best source for Ep III info is still the Ep III page at theforce.net There was today an article about it in the local newspapers, quit extensive in comparison to others, but most of it I already had written here there was one particular annoying but of information I had now known about. Besides the one that appear in the classic trilogy, most of the people of the prequels die at the end of ep III, Sadly Jar-Jar is not among the dead!!!!

It has been little over two weeks since his experience on Coruscant. (OOC: Little over two weeks since this topics hasn't been touched as well). In this time Iulan and Rjiuvan Shai had carefully executed a series of attacks and raids on Imperial worlds, the Core, the Colonies, the Expansion Region even the Inner Rim. They have been unstoppable. Even if the Jeedai Vong, as they had dubbed themselves, were not able to conquer the worlds they have harrassed, their attack had already started to destroy the image of an allmighty Empire. The attacks had been worthy of any army, they weren't just pirates attacking trade ships, they had made hit-and-fades at Corellia, Bilbringi, Corulag, Yag'Dhul, Balmorra, Tangrene and Carida. They had destroyed entire fleets of Star Destroyers. Even so, after having been so close to Evaders, Iulan felt that it was pointless, all their effort, all the deaths were infinitesimal in his ultimate goal to destroy Evaders. The only happy thought in his minds has the healing of Caamas. Thanks to Jeedai Vong shapers Caamas had been returned to life, Iulan had insisted to bring flora and fauna local to the galaxy so that it could coexist with the Vong own flora and fauna. The barren brown world was now green and alife, it's waters that had been polluted due the use of chemical weapons were now crystal clear. Had it not been for the missing Caamasi, the restored Caamas could have been just like the old one. Rjiuvan had insisted on fortifying one of the moons, and the others were seeded with coral seeds. In time they would turn new coralskippers. The situation of the war was complicated. Apparently many regions are enduring a communications blackout, relaystations had been destroyed, sector capitals had fallen. Chaos ruled the galaxy. On occasion Iulan would go to some planets and try to acquire some information, eventually Rjiuvan and Iulan would survey the debris of destroyed Imperial Star Destroyers to look for updated information. Decoding it by using the codes on Iulan's Defender. Sketchy details had surfaced. The main Yuuzhan Vong fleet, still lead by Overlord Shimraa, had been unstoppable since Tatooine, much of the Outer and Mid Rim had fallen, planets destroyed, entire populations wiped out or enslaved. The Rebel Alliance had reduced itslef considerably. Before the invasion it had been able to control almost a third of the galaxy now it controlled alone a ninth of the entire galaxy, most of its worlds on the brink of being conquered by the Vong. The Empire, held its front but was weak within, rendering it susceptible to the "mysterious Vong factions" that had attacked in the recent weeks. Some of the stuff, (especially the ones regarding the Rebels) Iulan considered to be still part of Imperial propaganda, other though as the isolated regions that had been out of touch since the beginn of the invasion about one and a half years ago... Iulan could not help but look astonished at that fact. It had been a long time, after all. All of it disappeared of a sudden. His thoughts raced back tot he matter at hand. Rjiuvan Shai stood tall and imposing waiting for the last minutes of ravel in darkspace to come to an end. They did. Below them Esseles glowed intensely. Above it the Rendili StarDrive yards and even nearer about two dozen of old Dreadnaughts, considering the ammassed Jeedai Vong fleet, the battle would be short. It was. In less than an hour Iulan and Rjiuvan were on tehir way back to Alderaan. Troubling thought affected Iulan...

Now that the site's back Trej strieks back with more Ep II stuff. One pic I found over at theforce.net and some info (spoilers)... First the spoiler(s): Dooku dies within the first 10 minutes that means another sith will ahve to emerge soon... Anthony daniels (Scathane.. um I mean, C-3PO) has said that he shares a scene with palpy. Skywalker and Kenobi's lightsaber battle will be londer and more dramtic and impressing Windu's death will be "fantastic". a picture: http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0QwDyAmUUYL2lI1zxpF!l91G7nZeog3GCxHyPc6RbpysBxsYiFantIMd0vXmzpChIHjSfGyRI8IDv*BpwHvnm8JQyoGgudu42ulmL1v5!dY8/obi_wan_face.gif?dc=4675434566568760842

It's really an interesting read. I don't think I can add much myself, my physics book for school is filled with lots of intelligent stuff to quantum physics, most of which I don't understand (Basically because in school we have just started with the quantum model for light and the Planck experiments as well as the Fotoeffekt). We live in three dimension, time being the fourth dimension can be taken into account, but there are infinite dimensions. As my math teacher put it out: "You could get a vektor in a 17dimensionalspace and add it to another equal vektor, but I'm sure you can't imagine how that looks like." AS for the quantum physics I doubt at all that will be doing much with it in class basically because as my physics teacher put it: "Ah! That's interesting, but it's to difficult for me, and I don't have the time." As for antimatter the annihilation is the result of the collision and the energy of both becomes Gamma radiation... (Or at least that's what my smart book says )

How realistic are the last 15 minutes of Return of the Jedi
Trejiuvanat replied to igorimp's topic in General Discussion
I don't find it difficult at all, it is explained in the Han Solo trilogy. To make the KEssel Run, a pilot needs to leave early hyperspace due to the gravitic disorder caused by the Maw. Pulling of an extremely dangerous maneuver to escape Imp patrols Han managed to shave off some parsecs from the traditional run. reading your points, it has occured to me an alternate ending for ROTJ one where Luke falls to the dark side. I think I'll write it down... and work it out.. BTW: Dodonna had already been captured by the Empire, after he bombed down the Rebel base on Yavin IV. -
Yeah... We need a BEAK comeback...
-
My isignia has been ready for ages. The thign is that JI didn't upload it, so I talked to E this time... Yep, SOCL will defintely have an Imperial Insignia... and we'll hear the explanation behind of it...
-
ANd in less than 200 posts we'll have a rank and insignia for the BEAK Imperator....
-
Yeah, mail it to me... http://mailto:julianastorga@mail.com... Hey, SOCL I missed you in the last Manarai Mountains assembly. We discussed the installation of teh new monument on top of Megablock 61-23... DId you see that a new Twi'Lek place opened around the corner.. Looks nice...

What Other Books are you Reading?
Trejiuvanat replied to Grand_Admiral_Thrawn's topic in General Discussion
That's the advantage of being still in school. You can still be a lazy-but-smart student that continuosly keeps finding ways to avoid doing stuff for school at home and devote oneself to reading or having fun in general..
