  1. I crppled it so it started to withdraw. Unless Stellar has some ugly surprise, that's it for the Resurrector at Fondor.
  2. You made it back!!! WOOYAY!!!
  3. Ozzel was quite a traitor, just give him a command role and he won't betray you.
  4. I still have a book of the good old Maulwurf in die Stadt. One day I'll understand what you guys do here, in the meantime I'll nod and say: Good job...
  5. Yep, you can "shut down" eighteen of your twenty sectors, so you play with two of them. (Limited resources, little distance between the two and you'll have an intense "mini-game". Darks are canon material, but they never really saw much action. (They only lasted one videogame )
  6. It affects all, only some more than others, depends on the Importance setting in Rebed IIRC
  7. Olsen Twins movies are also very scary...
  8. Not long after Athien had left for Kuat, had Thrawn asked Oreton to join him in his private command room. For a handful of hours had they watched art pieces of Raporan origin of different ages. Commander Veran, had been invited to complement Oreton's knowledge of Raporan history and culture. As Oreton listened to the Raporan speech he focused on the bifuraction of a twin spiral, and then another, and another, all of it concluding in a greater spiral. All of it in a perfect mathematic succession, in perfect coordintation. Oreton had mouthed his thought of a two-pronged offensive on the Galactic Alliance, much like they had done in Imperial Space. There he had seen it as a logical course of action, he know supposed that the bifurcation seemed to be part of their collective inconsciousness. Thrawn had applauded his conclusion and commended him for his speed of thought, the legendary Admiral then completed his suspicion with the name of the world: Fondor. Oreton had asked the Grand Admiral to allow him to lead some UDA Forces there. In some of the art examples one spiral would collapse and end, in not one of them, had the two spirals of a bifurcation collapsed. If the UDA and GFFA forces succeeded in halting both offensive, they psychologic blow to the Rapora would be significant. "Work is not yet finished on the Imperious, Grand Admiral," Thrawn said. "Yes, I am aware, but it is above Imperial standards. It only lacks the UDA modifications, I trust that a group of your cruisers would cover the defficiencies of the Imperious." *** More than a two dozen ships had joined Imperious in their mission. The starlines he saw from the bridge of Imperious were no different from the other hundreds of times he had seen them. They only felt different, he rejected the thought of interpreting his mre private thought as he focused on the possible course of action. Unlike Kuat on Fondor there would be no risk of the Rapora trying to actually take the world. Fondor was a barren rock of space, their only goal would be the shipyards. The most modern shipyards within Alliance space. Rebuilt with state-of-the-art techonologies, after the Vong campaign. Oreton expected what GFFA forces to be stationed at Fondor to form up a screen between the Rapora and the shipyards. Reinforcing that screen with the Imperious and the UDA Forces would make it unsurpassable for the first Rapora wave, that would be perfectly able of withdrawing, or at least drawing the defending screen away from the shipyards, rendering them vulnerable to the second Rapora wave, which would undoubtedly be there. To jump behind the Raporan formation would be a viable alternative, but it did not feel right. He could be the one trapped between the first wave and their subsequent support which would be suicide, if the Raporan brought their Resurrector along. And considering the little use for a ground base on Fondor seemed the most natural thing to do with such an useless world. "Captain Onolovav, is the Superlaser functional?" Oreton asked. "Yes, sir. Chiss technicians restored it, it will not be at 100 %, which means we will not be able to destroy planets. Not that we need to," the Yagai captain reported. "Good, have it begin loaded, I will want to be able to fire it as soon as we exit." The superlaser would greatly support his initial strike, which would bring the Raporan fighters to swarm over his fleet. The entire wing of Delta-Missileboats, would help hiim control that, as the half dozen of Chiss Gunboats. Medium sized capital ships with more turbolasers than a Corellian Spiked Dunecactus had spikes. "Prepare to drop out of the system, and use the gravity wells to draw the rest of the fleet out, from there we'll hyper above the planet, above the relative plane of the shipyards." "You have reconsidered your initial course of action." Onolovav nodded. **** All fleets had arrived, the first shot had been fired and it had severely crippled the Raporan replicator, this had resulted in a shortlived wave of elation in the bridge and many a slap in the back to the superlase controller, and two genuinly satisfied words from Oreton. Then orders started to flow again. "Launch all starfighters, have them engage mines and enemy starfighters. Raporan starfighter, mines and Vagaari fighters, in that order. Instruct the UDA gunships to hang between them and us." "Starfighter wings complying." "Divert energy from redundant systems to reload the superlaser, once it nears the 70 percent mark restore energy to the other systems." "Seventy sir?" Onolovav asked. "In your words, we do not need to blow up a planet," Oreton answered back. "Signal to Honorous Duty and Order is Strength they will have a Kar Lur on their port flank but they will not concede a single meter. Power of Wisdom will move to lend support. Remind them that axial turns will help them preserve shields, also to care for their starfighters as they are their most important shields." "The GFFA is signalling us, their commander was killed in the first salvo of the Replicator, they request orders." "They will keep their position. The Raporan fleet will first deal with us, and whatever second wave there is will target the shipyards, their starfighters should stay with them, we can hold on our own, if it becomes necessary they can join, but will not use their warheads, captain if you will also instruct them to regroup to a containment formation." "Sir, the shipyard administrator wants to talk to you." Oreton rolled his eyes. He rushed to the communications console and ordered the Lieutenant to open the channel. "Admiral, um... Grand Admiral, we had not expected Imperial assitance in this, but..." "Will you make it fast?" Oreton impatiently asked, not worrying about correcting the affiliation of the support fleet. "Yes, of course. In short, our shipyards are rigged with explosives, in the case the Rapora want to take them, you know you can blow them up." "It seems the Rapora are the ones interested in blowing them up, why did you not have the shipyards equipped with hyperdrives?" Oreton asked. Before the bureaucrat in charge could make up an answer Oreton continued. "I suppose you are equipped with heavy lifter, trying removing some of the shipyards, take them into hyperspace. Scatter them if you need to. You are up to this assignement?" "Grand Admiral I am no tactician-" "Then get your security guard to do the job, or politely ask the captain of any of the Alliance Destroyers to plot a course into hyperspace for your shipyards. Also transmit provide me with the self destruction code." "Transmitting. This was of course the point of my call, Grand Admiral-" "Administrator, when the Rapora start moving towards the shipyards, whichever shipyards are still in system will not continue their escape but rather ram the enemy ships. So have all of your personnel in escape vehicles. It may be sooner that you hope. Oreton out." Oreton sighed. In the holographic representation he saw the Raporan formation shift their direction, pointing now straight at the UDA group. The Resurrector left behind was slowly crawling away into the safety of hyperspace. "Captain mark the spots where the reinforcements would be expected, both GFFA and Rapora, also send a signal to Spirit of Justice and its two support ships to pick one of the Karlur Cruiser and work on the modulation, they will open fire and remodulate on my mark." OOC: After Fondor I'll deal with Ulan, otherwise my brains will explode.
  9. Alien, Aliens and the Exorcist.
  10. Don't have time for this... get me started and I'll continue when I can.
  11. UGH Crystal Star...
  12. there are cheat codes for rebellion? I didn't know that either. Somehow Iwas under the impression that I had dreamt this thread, it just didn't seem possible.
  13. Yep that mysterious character in SBS, Raynar Thul aka annoying Jedi brat from the YJK Series will also be part of this. The Nine books are confirmed, written by Denning (aside from this DN trilogy) Allston and one Karen Traviss or something. IIRC they are set about five years after Dark Nest. That'd be about 10 after TUF? Darn. BS: No. As Stellar said it's the one about Anakin's death and the Fall of Coruscant. BTW, you've intrigued me, which of Han's Ex-flams was investigating in a book that deals with ZS? One of the FH Trilogy?... Darky:
  14. Did anyone say Rapora?
  15. Darth Fury : What's the matter with this thing? What's with all that churning and bubbling? You call that a Radar Screen? Darth Tuvax : No sir, we call it Mr. Coffee. Care for some? Darth Fury : I always have coffee when I watch radar, you know that! Darth Tuvax : Of course I do, sir. Darth Fury : Everybody knows that! All the henchmen in the room: Of course we do, sir! Darth Fury : Now that I have my coffee I'm ready to watch radar. Where is it? Darth Tuvax: Right here, sir. [Tuvax points to the sign on the radar screen that says Mr. Radar]
  16. And from there we'll blame the Romans for creating their Empire, from there we'll work back to the Greek, and to the Mesopotamians, and then all the way back to the stupid ape that discovered that fire had an use. Don't worry we'll keep it clean. As for Fascism and Communism, I agree with SOCL.
  17. ... um... I mean, it's good to see that's only a minority that likes the new voice over the original..
  18. Only that instead of Empire it is called: Free-Trade-Area of the Americas
  19. Its all a matter of point of view, the "wonderful" democracy of the US and EU rests upon the awful democracy of the "Third World". There is currently an economic tiranny ruled by the US, just take a plane and visit and Latinamerican country... It's democratic of course...
  20. OOC: I was wondering when you'd bring them back. IC: Admiral Oreton quietly saw Thrawn's Holocomm transmission to the High Council of the Galactic Alliance. Behind Thrawn and -fortunately- out of angle of the holotranceiver Thrawn's Raporan Advisor grunted. Baros Oreton had silently agreed with Veran that to reveal Thrawn's existence to the High Council might be, precipitated to say the least. Much less telling them what to do. Thrawn had argued that the turn of events had been unpredictable since the easy loss of Bastion and thus he had to reform his short term objectives. Oreton understood, or believed to understand some of Thrawn's motives, with the Empire apparently out of the war the GFFA desperately needed an ally, even if it came in the form of a former enemy. To reveal himself so early he had committed himself to trust the Alliance. Oreton knew that Cal Omas, and some other Councilors would see Thrawn's action in that light. Thrawn replied elegantly to one of Luke Skywalker's questions before the transmission cut off. "Athien, you have your orders." Thrawn said, in what seemed to be a perfectly normal conversation between an officer and a senior offficer there was another stronger undertone. A fatherly love for his only child. No matter what he knew about the Chiss, in Thrawn he finally saw a stronger rupture of their ico-cold demeanor even if it was tacit and nearly inperceptible. Athien nodded, hesitated but kissed her father in the cheek. She then nodded to Veran and Baron Fel. "Farewell Admiral." "Farewell Athien. May the Force be with you," Oreton quietly said. Thrawn came closer to the Admiral. "A man will ever rue the day he sees his child part," Oreton quoted his late father's words when he had been sent to fight the Vong. "Fatherly wisdom from your father?" Thrawn asked, his tone neutral and as cold as ever. "Yes, he said it to me when I received notice that I were to take a Star Destroyer and engage the Yuuzhan Vong. He quickly commented that if it would have been possible for him he would have asked Pellaeon for another Star Destroyer." "I do not doubt that," Thrawn said. "Your father was a grave loss to the Empire, although that did not become evident until after Endor. I dispatched Intelligence Teams to retrieve him when I launched my campaign. Their efforts were fruitless, much like his escape from Sluis Van it took me too long to figure out exactly what had happened. His death was undeserved." "He was too old, he tried to do more than he could. His body was failing him." Baros Oreton remembered the death of his fatherduring the Vong campaign. Trampled to death by a desperate crowd that was trying to escape in a convoy Darac Noreto had organized. Thrawn nodded. "Are the modifications to your ship complete?" "I have not yet recieved today's report, Admiral. According to the projected guidelines they would be depuring the interface problems of the phasing cloak and restoring the power lines to install the superlaser." "Good, as soon as the report arrives. Send them a request to transfer a wing of Claw-type Missileboats to Imperious." "Claw-type?" "When I developed the Missileboat I considered the design to be apt for its purposes within the Empire. When the Rapora threat started to regain strength, I focused in continue developing our best designs. With advanced Chiss technology the Missile Boat was complemented. It will fit adequately with your mission." "My mission." "All in its moment, Admiral. We might be expecting another group to assist you." OOC: Vong Jedi part later tonight.
  21. i think I had sent Ulan to Zonama, just haven't posted from his POV. He'll be there by saturday.
  22. He has a lot of exams and other nasty university stuff to do. He will most likely post on saturday.
  23. Yeah and he's one of the moderators around here.
  24. I think it was in Save Optimized As... You might have to tinker with the optimization previews for a while to render your PSD into 256 colors.
  25. A 1.46 Sig will be cruel for the folks with 56K connection. But I don't have any idea how to solve your problem.
