Hey now that looks half decent! But it still looks like something out of Mobile Suit Gundam. http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/0083/musai.htm http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/0083/musai.jpg

But it's a step in the right direction. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aluminum_oxynitride I guess they released Scotty's pattents from Star Trek IV.

404 Post not found... (... >.< omfg...) EDIT: Arg... Sure it'll post that but it won't post my two page story addition. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v96/splotch/580581ef.jpg Technical Difficulties... please stand by. (While I wait for my temper to cool off because this thing WONTPOSTMYSTORYSECTION! ) EDIT2: (Hope it works this time. Site is still loading slow.) EDIT3: It didn't work. Glad I copied my post beforehand this time. Defender_16 was in the main hanger bay getting suited up along with other members of the boarding team. With the ISDIII pulled out of the atmosphere and headed back their way, the base had asked every able bodied person to help with the boarding. Most wore stripped down Stormtrooper armour that fit better. It wouldn't block a direct hit, but it would keep a glancing blow from taking down a trooper. From the front of the docking bay one of the other forum members shouted out. "Load up the shuttles!" He couldn't tell who it was from this distance, so he followed the troopers onto the nearest Assault Shuttle. He was the thirteenth onboard. The pilot's voice came over the intercom. "There's some kind of delay. The base hasn't dropped shields yet." Outside the bay the flash of an explosion light up the area. "That was one of our groundbased Ion Cannons exploding! We need to get out of here!" Defender walked over to the voice pickup leading to the cockpit. "Pilot, do not launch until control gives the OK. If we launch withought fighter support we'll be cut to pieces by ships guns." They sat, feeling the vibrations as weapons fire and debris impacted the shields. The shaking much more noticeable in the bay where there was no artificial gravity or inertial compensators. When the fire began to taper off everyone assumed that the ship had finally been disabled. Then the entrance to the docking bay when blue-white. Anyone not strapped in was thrown, into walls, the ceiling, other troopers, anything. The next thing Def knew, a trooper was standing over him slapping him awake. "Alright, I'm awake. What's our status?" "The ship self destructed. The security teams are being sent out to scan through the wreckage." "Do you know if there are any teams being sent down to check Earth? Somone could have ejected from the ship when it entered the atmosphere." "I don't think so Commander. I'll have to check." "I'll find out for you. Until I get back organise equipment that will be needed to a recon in force down to Earth's surface. I'm headed to the command center." The command center was nearly empty. Empty unless you counted the dozen techs woking on replacing burnt out consoles. Some smoke and the smell of ozone still hung in the air so some of the life support systems might have been damaged as well. "Any idea how long it'll be until the computers are fixed? I need to find some of the other officers." And I still don't know where everything is on the base yet. He added to himself. "Awhile, and the more people ask, the longer it's going to take."

I had something like five force users besides Vader and Palpatine, playing as the Empire once. Only one of them lacked diplomancy and one only developed average level combat ratings. But it still kicked ass.

I agree, few people are evil. Most are just misguided. How do I know I'm not misguided? I don't. But I try and get an idea from the people who live arround me what is 'Normal' and live roughly to those morals and beliefs. If you grow up surrounded by people that think it's ok to gun down other people just because theyre diffrient (or for any number of reasons) they you are going to have a slight predisposition towards being that way youtself. Theres the flip side of that as well. With the Emperor declairing that the entire population would fight to the death in an invasion, Truman would have had to justify atleast 1 million US military casulties and 60-70M Japanese Civillian casulties if the bombs hadn't been dropped. 200,000 Civillian casulties or 60-70 Million. It's not hard to see why he chose what he did.

This is a little off topc but it's the only thing I can comment on in this thread any more without spending two weeks reading up. We were never taught world history. Highschool history consisted of Confederation through to the beginning of the Cold War and how it affected our country (Canada). I remember I was absolutely furious with my highschool history teacher at the time. I took an optional Anchient Histories class that covered Neolithic through to about 1100ad. So everything I know that takes place between 1100-1867 or 1947 - present, is stuff that I've taken the time to learn about on my own. (Though I did learn quite a bit about those same time periods in Historical Architecture in College. )

Nope. Bored. Losing what little bit of my mind I have left. So bored that I used starfighter design as an excuse to keep practicing my AutoCAD. http://web.ripnet.com/~jdprosper/Tie%20Craft.GIF Basic Interceptor. Tie Hunter which I saw somewhere. My Gauntlet which I finally got arround to working on in AutoCAD. And my new Vengeance... which doesn't look as nice as I thought it would. Meh. http://web.ripnet.com/~jdprosper/Tie%20Vengeance.GIF I thought the Tie Hunter was neat so I used an S-foil system like what's on the Skipray blastboat for a Tie craft. Roughly analogus to a Tie Avenger or Chiss clawcraft. Somewhere in between anyways. I always wanted to take the Tie Raptor and make it, I dunno, cooler. The forward view of the Vengeance in attack mode is about the same of what I had in mind.

Dovin Basal Support Mines Varrying is size depending on the type of ship carrying them, support mines act as secondary shields for larger cruisers. Instead of trying to block all incoming fire, the support mines try to halve the ammount of fire that the ships basals need to block. If needed, the support mines can be concentrated to block almost all incoming fire from a particular direction. (This could also be used to dull the effects of a small superlaser attack though all of the mines would die from it. Only the strongest ships like heavy cruisers would be able to survive it.) Heavier planetary Defense grade mines are employed in the defense of Worldships. As with all Basals they can be overwhelmed or tired out by forcing them to block less powerful but more numerous shots. Some vong ships attempted to counter this eventually using smaller singularities on the low powered shots. It did not take long to figure out that increasing power slightly could overwhelm the smaller singularities.

So I must be even more of a nerd if I'm making them, rather than just dredging up the old ugly designs.

My computer has always lagged when playing Homeworld 2. That was nothing compared to when I tried out the Warlords mod. Insane.

*Klingon is cut down by a Yuuzhanvong Warrior dual weilding Amphistafs* Time to get the Vong-on! Corralskipper Cruise Missile Essentially a coralskipper stripped of it's need for a pilot. These craft are essentially useless in dogfights against starfighters. Instead they recieve control orders from the Yamosk and are used to impact enemy capital ships. As they are equipped with the standard Dovin Basal propulsion of regular skips, the Cruise Missiles have some shielding from laser and torpedo attacks. These can also can be thrown into a nearby target by their carrier such as was seen at the Fondor Yards in the NJO. Vong Heavy Cruise Missile Carrier Modified by shapers, these carriers are intended to carry unmanned Cruise Missiles in place of it's regular Coralskipper compliment. It has mountings for 300 missiles or the standard 200 manned Skips. These ships normally carry 2 squadrons of manned skips for defense. AB-Wing Ugly In use with: Rebel / Peace Brigade Built from spare parts from any number of vehicles, the specifications on these uglies varry widely. The "standard" version of the vehicle is built using a B-wing cockpit and side S-foils, and A-wing engines. Other popular versions use TIE-Booster Engines or older model TIE wing panels in place of the S-foils. Likewise the weapons are also rarely the same. Some have B-wing Ion Cannons and Lasers, others have Cannosn salvaged from Tie fighters, X-wings or Z-95's. Most are slightly slower than a stock A-wing but faster than 1st Generation Interceptors. Often equipped with shields and hyperdrive, the 2 seat versions often have an R2 unit place in the extra seat for Hypernavigation. http://web.ripnet.com/~jdprosper/AB-wing.GIF (A and B-wing pictures borrowed from a site whose URL I can't seem to find and horribly mauled by my Paint skills. )

The first time I played as the Rebellion on Hard I was expecting the computer to come in an paste all of my planets and fleets. So I geared everything, all of my production and defenses toward moving my forces to the Outer Rim. I put double shield gens and Sulstan Regiments on any planets I wanted to keep and pulled everything out to my fleets. Moved my fleets arround to the other side of the galaxy while staying in the Rim and building up. Massed forces at Agrilat and 3 surrounding shipyards. Launched for Coruscant by day 1200 and killed all 2 ISD's defending it. Took the planet and captured the Emperor and then Darth Vader 200 days later. I was mildly disapointed that the computer hadn't been more of a challenege. With the harder AI it becomes worth it to play as the Rebellion because it's fun. EDIT: I tend to use very diffrient tactics now I notice againts the Computer. I don't bother with evacuation I just go nuts on the enemy shipyards early on in the game.

I used to be somewhere between http://redwing.hutman.net/%7Emreed/warriorshtm/eaglescout.htm and http://redwing.hutman.net/%7Emreed/warriorshtm/grammarian.htm back in the day. That was when forums were still semi-new to me. I later graduated into being a bit of an http://redwing.hutman.net/%7Emreed/warriorshtm/royals.htm In my second forum. (The one where I became a Mod for a few months.) I was something of a http://redwing.hutman.net/%7Emreed/warriorshtm/rottweilerpuppy.htm in the first forum I ever joined but that site closed down within a year. I'm not really sure what my current status would be.

Omg. I'm glad I stoped following this after the first day. It looks like it's almost getting out of hand. I haven't actually read the whole thing so it might not be getting out of control.

Hmm... I can probably come up with a few forums you can raid.

Eureka! At last it all makes sense! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Professor_Moriarty He's more than a hundred years old! No wonder we've had such a hard time with FURBALL. Imagine all of the spare EXP that one can build up in that time. EDIT: I did it again: I killed a thread.
