Soooo.... A few days ago I finally got a copy of Dark Crusade, the expansion pack for Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War. Let's you play across a campaign map, buy units to enter the battle map with, all kinds of things. Really cool. I wasnt able to buy it when it came out a year ago as I lacked a computer with a DVD drive to play the thing. I must say... I love playing as the Tau. It's a 1999 Toyota. (Wait, didn't I say all that in one of the earlier posts?) So, who watched NOVA last night on PBS? They were talking about green house pollution vs particulate. Perticulate blocks out sunlight causing cooling while greenhouse heats things up. Apparently, until recently the particulate polution has been taking away something like half of the heating caused by the greenhouse gasses. Only now as we try to make factories and things cleaner it's cutting down on the particulate pollution while greenhouse is still going up. Essentially based on these findings the green house effect is now figured to be twice as powerful as previously predicted. They're now guessing a substantial temperature diffrience by 2050. (Can't remember that so well, may -may- have been 10 degrees F increase.) (EDIT: by 2100, temperatures could rise by as much as 10 degrees Celsius, 18 degrees Fahrenheit.) EDIT: Here we go.
