  1. To the thread starter: The history of the X-Wing is not a new concept this game is coming up with. It's been with the history of the X-Wing for years and years. Secondly (and not to the thread starter now ), the game starts around 3 years before ANH, as the Devs have said over and over already. Unless they've very recently cahnged the starting time?
  2. Didn't we already know the x1 would be in the game?
  3. If you are allowed to sell/scrap a unit, it would be done out of combat, just as building units is done out of combat.
  4. Sound is half the experience, they say.
  5. I'll reiterate: the shields on the Death Star is more than powerfull enough to protect it against a blown up planet. Otherwise, why build it if it can't take the heat?
  6. All star destroyers that come off the line from KDY comes with the same bridge setup. Even the tower structure itself is about the same size on all the star destroyers from KDY. Well, the 2 in the rear are troopers it seems. I'm alittle unsure if the one on his left is another trooper type or a hero.
  7. Yeah, but I would want to play endlessly against a computer too. If that's not possible, then it would have failed to beat Rebellion on this.
  8. Shield comment was just for tecnical responce. As for the ring, to me it looks like it's passing just under the Death Star. I don't know, poor quality on the videos really.
  9. Bleh, so there is no propper end goals then? Destroying the Death Star doesn't end the war after all.
  10. The shields of the Death Star is adequete to fully protect it from the blast.
  11. The base itself is static. You choose what you want to be built, the game decides where to put it. Base defences however is yours to command. But wether you get to choose out of combat, or right before the battle starts, remains an unanswered question.
  12. I think you mean you're going to peel his face off.
  13. Whats Base Delta Zero?Base Delta Zero is the worst command an Imperial Commander can be given, next to blowing up the planet. Basically, it involves bombarding the surface of a planet, turning it into molten slag. EDIT: The planet surface that is, not the entire planet to its core.
  14. That's a different question on the same subject. We could raise that question though in the chat.
  15. well, he means when you start a game, singleplayer or multiplayer, that you can choose to play in a small galaxy, medium galaxy, or a large galaxy.
  16. Yeah, but originally-originally it was barely 20.
  17. I wish they would stop saying this if it isn't true. And if it is true, how? The sequence of battle is one thing that still confuses me. If it is linear, how do reinforcements show up? If it is real time, could you drop troops on the ground before the enemy is taken out in space? And if that is possible, could you have orbital bombardments happening from both fleets on the ground? Too many issues with this part of the game. Delphi, could you shed some light on this question? I assume that the game is too far into developement for this to be changed from how it is currently implemented, so there should be some kind of answer available that is set in stone for release. It could be that you are only allowed to land a set number of troops on the ground at a time, but as you lose them, you can call down more troops that are in orbit? That's one possibility
  18. That would be more than 80. Believe me. =O SW Wiki has at least 1181 and counting. That's just the planets, there's also all the moons in addition. And asteroid colonies. I knew there were alot, but dang. That's a hell of alot.
  19. Yeah, but that's an editor. We were talking the basic game here.
  20. Actually, they even have that if I remember correctly.
  21. I'm sorry, I need to correct myself here. It's flights ofcourse, not wings.
  22. This question will not come up in the chat, trust me. Here's your answer: Yes, you can visit any planet you own and build stuff there. You don't even need to bring any units to do it. If you're thinking the Galactic Map is like Dune, or the C&C series, forget it. It's much more than that. Time will actually pass while you're out of combat, continually. The computer, or the player you are playing against, will move their pieces at the same time you are moving yours. They will build their forces at the same time you build yours. They will research at the same time as you. Etc ....
  23. Well, I don't see any problem with this. Squadrons are 12, yes, but I've always seen TIE's (for instance) attack in waves of 4 Fighters or Interceptors, and 3 Bombers in formation. Squadrons can be split up into wings you know, which is what you see in EaW. I'm sure a star destroyer will come with it's 6 squadrons (74 crafts). Right, Delphi? EDIT: Damn it's hard to post anything toda!
  24. Rebellion had a pop cap aswell, but it was ruled by how many maintainance point you had, which could be raised the more mines and refineries you placed on planets. 1 mine and 1 refinery equaled 50 maintainance point, but there needed to be in pairs. Each planet could only support a certain amount of refineries and mines though, up to 14, and that included other buildings such as shields, guns, and construction buildings.
