  1. Anybody seen Brick before? Not a bad flick, that... Also: What are the all-time top lines and actions from The Blues Brothers (This)? My friend and I are dressing up as the brothers (I'm Elwood) for Spirit Week at our school. Right now we've determined that we're going to have to do the famous walk, give the greatest line ever when I give everyone a ride home at the end of the day (If you don't know what that line is, go watch the movie. If you don't like it, commit suicide.), and we're going to enter the cafeteria asking for some plain white bread, four fried chickens, and a coke. I vaguely want to go around the cafeteria asking people how much to buy their women, but I think that half of the people would get offended, and the other half would give us prices...
  2. Haha! I was looking at the thumbnail saying to myself, "What on earth is different?" Then I saw it and laughed!
  3. ... I think it means in the overall outcome of the plot. But that's just me. I never even noticed that Greedo shot first in the Special Edition, but that may be because I only ever owned the Special Edition. Well, that's not entirely true- I now own A New Hope on DVD, but that was a gift, so it doesn't count.
  4. In the EU I think that Stackpole and Aalston both did a great job of creating characters who broke from the norms. Stackpole created Asyr and one of the first inter-species relationships between Gavin and Asyr. Aalston made Piggy, our stereotypical non-stereotypical fellow, I suppose, and tacked on Runt, creating a whole new species for the EU. We also have our first de facto racists in the form of Castin (I always hated Castin...). The Twi'lecks were also developed rather heavily; Tal'dirra, Nawara Ven, Dia Passik (sp?) all had distinct, very differant personalities. The Mon Calamari aren't looking so hot now, either, with Niathal in the Legacy of the Force books (Don't post any spoilers- you can only know that Niathal is not a good Mon Cal). There were others, too, I'm sure, but I don't know them very well off the top of my head.
  5. Here's a question I have: Did Obi-wan ever show up to chat with Anakin/Vader? The whole Force-ghost thing is supposedly based on love (I'm semi-willing to accept that, since love is a large part of life), thus Obi-wan and Vader shared none, but Anakin Skywalker still existed, suppressed, within Vader. I kind of like the idea of the two having conversations; unable to slay his former master again, Vader can never stop hearing his mentor's words, and Kenobi could steer him back toward the light.
  6. I signed up. One more fellow backing these guys. I really hope this works!
  7. You need alcohol to convince you to act in such a way, SOCL? Shame on you. I do such things whilst completely sober! ... I also generally make twenty dollars for doing them, but that's beside the point.
  8. That little button that says "Edit" can be used to change stuff that you wrote in the post. It eliminates the need to double post. You aren't bad about spamming, though, so I'll not go on with the whole tirade we reserve for double-posters.
  9. Geez... In other news, I'm psyched. Why? Because Nightwish will be appearing at the Orlando House of Blues in Florida come November fifteenth! Now, I don't have the necessary $22.50-60 for admission yet, but that's what sneaking in- er, that's what jobs are for... Yeah... Legitamate jobs... Just kidding. I can probably wrangle up 22.50, but for $60 I can get a signed poster. Can we say "Kickass" boys and girls? I think we can! Too bad Tarja isn't with 'em anymore, though. I could get Eagle a signed photo of her!
  10. I've also never played Halo, but I don't own an X-Box either Ditto. Well, not exactly true- I played a few folks at a LAN party once, but I died pretty quick. That was the only time...
  11. Seeing as I'm still the only member under 21, I'm the (probably) only one who clicked "I don't like to drink." I've never cared for alcohol in the first place, thus it really isn't a loss for me that I'm not able to drink...
  12. I saw it and loved it! Rather than making fun of the movie as they went, as I'm sure they originally wanted to do, they paid homage, probably because A) GL asked them to and B) They want to do the next two as well. I just about fell out of my seat laughing at a few parts. Chris: "You don't believe in the Force?" Peter: "Oh, what, you've known about this for, like, three hours, and now you're gonna get on my case about not believing in it?"
  13. Thank you for that lovely reminder of the failing United States economy, D... I appreciate it.
  14. I think Tex posted it something like two years ago...
  15. I'm cautioning against spamming, Mad's cautioning against drinking.... Next thing we know Jahled will be a successfully televangelists, Star Wars will cross over into Star Trek for the next several books, and Rob will come to conclusion that the sasquatch isn't real! Gah! It's the end of the world as we know it!
  16. I'd heard about this, but specifically avoided it. I'm really glad I didn't have sound to hear any of that...
  17. Wow. Somebody's wasting time... (not you, E, don't worry. )
  18. ... That last one is truly horrible. In a funny way, but it's horrible all the same.
  19. Neither did I. For your birthday, enjoy a Cyanide and Happiness comic: http://www.explosm.net/comics/1022/
  20. Mine was a couple of months back. I usually fail to notice when June 28th comes and goes... Happy Forum Day, Eagle.

  23. Haha! That's a great pun! If you find yourself groaning loudly at it, then it's probably a great pun... @Def: Huh. I wasn't expecting to recognize nearly as many of those guys as I did. http://www.fark.com It isn't dirty, don't worry. In fact, it's even safe for work (At least, it should be. I might have entered the address incorrectly...) It's just the best headlines out there....

  25. Nope- he'll be mailing what he inherited from his mother to his sister, knowing that she can make better use of it that he. Zing! (Sorry, I'll stop, now.)
