Not if most of my favorite bands are dead! I don't think the tour would be very good if they played in the condition they're in now

The penny is mostly zinc with some copper (2.5%). Steel pennies did exist, but only in the early 40's during the war (World War II for you young whipper-snappers) US coin specifications

THE FINAL CHAPTER! Rebel Uprising II! Day 1450, current status. Quelli sector: My Coruscant invasion fleet (2 assault frigates, 2 Dauntless cruisers, 3 Liberator cruisers, 1 interdictor, 6 bulk transports, with 26 X-wings and 36 troops) has departed Svivren for Corstris. Han Solo meets up with the fleet when it arrives and takes command as "Admiral". Princes Leia is tagging along. The invasion of Imperial systems in this sector begins now. The invasion fleet first heads to Dathomir. Dathomir's defenses have been destroyed on previous raids, and a lone Imperial Army unit is no match for the Alliance forces. An all out assault is ordered (without bombardment) and Dathomir becomes part of the Alliance. Princess Leia conducts diplomacy. The fleet now moves to Vinsoth. Intelligence reports show a lone Imperial interdictor due to arrive in a few days. Another Imperial system lacking defenses falls to the Alliance assault. 1 Dauntless cruiser, 2 Liberator cruisers and 1 interdictor, and X-wings await the Imperial ship. The remainder of the fleet pushes on to Selaggis. An Imperial Star Galleon tries to break the Alliance blockade at Rafa (2 Dauntless cruisers with X-wings, and an interdictor). The Star Galleon is crushed. An Imperial VSD has unexpectedly shown up at Selaggis! My two assault frigates and one Liberator cruiser move to engage to protect the bulk transports. The VSD turns and flees the system! My interdictor is still back at Vinsoth, allowing the VSD to slip away. At Vinsoth, the Imperial interdictor is easily dispatched by the firepower of the few Alliance ships. I then move these ships to Thrakia in order to snare the fleeing VSD (Thrakia is the closet Imperial system to Selaggis). Selaggis is assaulted and joins the Alliance! After several days of waiting, the Imperial VSD does not show up at Thrakia. I then move my fleets to the other Imperial systems trying to track it down (Varn and Amorris). The bulk transports move from Selaggis to Thrakia. Thrakia is bombarded and assaulted, and yet another system falls into the hands of the Alliance. The next target is Amorris. Again, the system is bombarded and assaulted. I've run out of troops for assaulting the remaining Imperial systems of Rafa and Varn. But they are each under blockade, with their imprisoned populace. Farfin sector: Nothing much is happening here, other than after months and months, a lone Imperial VSD turns up at Firro challenging the Alliance blockade of the system (the same VSD that fled from the Quelli sector). Four corvettes make up the Alliance blockade fleet. The VSD moves in, and the corvettes move to meet the challenge. The VSD is pounding on a corvette, and the corvette is holding up fairly well. The VSD shields are keeping up with the incoming fire from the corvettes. This looks like its going to be a long and drawn out firefight. For some reason, two of the corvettes have stopped firing. And the corvette under fire has had its shield generators damaged. I'm trying to get the corvettes to open fire on the VSD again, but they're not responding. The target corvette now has total shield failure! The other corvettes open fire again, but I think it's too late; I have to order a retreat. As the corvettes move out, the damaged corvette is taking a pounding; it's not going to make it. Boom! The engine reactor blows tearing the corvette to pieces. The remaining corvettes make the jump. By the time a new blockade fleet arrives (Admiral Kirk's 14th fleet, with Neb-B's and escort carriers), the VSD has long since fled the system. Kanchen sector: I've dispatched the invasion fleet from the Corellian sector (8 bulk transports, 4 Liberator cruisers, 4 escort carriers and an interdictor, with 24 X-wings, 12 A-wings & 12 B-wings, 42 Wookies, 6 Sullustans & 12 Army units) to Derra IV, for the Alliance assault of this sector. Gandalf has arrived in sector and is doing diplomacy on Davnar. My sector fleet (1 interdictor, 2 assault frigates, 2 Dauntless cruisers and 3 escort carriers with 11 A-wings & 8 X-wings) with Admiral Jan Dodonna, moves to blockade the Imperial system of Mindar. The invasion fleet from the Corellian sector arrives, are they are redirected to Xa Fel, where the system is bombard and assaulted. The fleet then moves on to Vodran, where only the bombardment of the 5 Imperial garrison troops is necessary to get the populace to join the Alliance. Information comes from Vodran about Smarteel: DarthTex is there! Considering my past two failures attempting to capture DarthTex, this time I plan to stack the deck heavily in my favor. In the Glythe sector, I put Ben Kenobi on a corvette and send him off to Jerijador (Calaron sector) to pick up Luke. On his arrival, all of the fleet infiltrators join them on the corvette. I now send Luke & Ben to Balmorra (Sesswenna sector) to pickup more infiltrators. On Duros in the Corellian sector, I have the ATF's produce 50 infiltrators, and send all of the infiltrators in the sector to Duros. In the meantime, my invasion fleet blockades Munto Curdo, then assaults it. Mindar is the bombarded, and with the destruction of the Imperial garrison the system joins the Alliance. Davnar has also now joined the Alliance with some persuasive words from Gandalf. My sector fleet leaves Mindar to blockade Smarteel. After Luke & Ben leave Balmorra, they head to Duros. Snake Plissken joins them at Duros with the infiltrators, plus some Bothan spies. The newly liberated ATF's on Vodran are ordered to produce 18 Bothan spies for the sector fleet at Smarteel. Luke, Ben, Snake and company, head to Smarteel. I have Mazer Rackus and Gandalf sent to the blockading fleet at Smarteel also. Upon the arrival of Luke's corvette at Smarteel, I organize the personnel and special forces onto differing fleets. I have Luke Skywalker, Ben Kenobi, Snake Plissken, Mazer Rackus and Gandalf, plus 30 Bothan spies and 134 infiltrators! I send down all 30 spies, with 12 being decoys. After patiently waiting for two weeks, a faint signal is received: the mission has been foiled and all personnel have failed to return! But some information has slipped out, Daala is also on Smarteel, and as a "general"! It's time to go for broke; I send Luke, Ben, Snake, Mazer, Gandalf and all 134 infiltrators (34 being decoys) to abduct DarthTex. After a couple days the mission results come in: Luke has detected a disturbance in the Force, the mission has been foiled, and Luke has been injured. And the bad news comes last: Luke, Snake, Mazer and Gandalf have all been captured, with 88 infiltrators slaughtered! Ben Kenobi and 46 infiltrators have escaped! I send Ben and all 46 infiltrators (no decoys) to abduct DarthTex. After a couple of days the mission results come in: Ben has detected a disturbance in the Force, the mission has been foiled, and Ben has been injured as well as captured! Seven infiltrators have survived. I send all 7 to abduct DarthTex. After a couple of days, the mission has been foiled and 1 infiltrator has escaped. I send the last infiltrator on a suicide to capture DarthTex. Alas, they have died in glory trying to fulfill their mission; I have no one and no infiltrators left. In just a matter of a couple of weeks, one person (DarthTex) has slaughtered 30 Bothan spies, 134 infiltrators, captured a former Jedi Master of the Old Republic, captured the only Jedi Knight of the Alliance, captured Snake Plissken (an expert infiltrator, and abductor of Emperor Palpatine), Gandalf the White, and Mazer Rackus! I'm totally shocked and in despair; there's only one thing left to do. I have Admiral Jan Dodonna bombard the system! With the Gen Core and 5 Imperial Army and 2 Dark Troopers destroyed, the system is wide open for assault. I send for the fleet of bulk transports and the troops currently in orbit at Munto Curdo. It takes a couple of days for them to arrive, but everything is in place. The assault is ordered and Smarteel falls! Luke, Ben, Snake, Mazer and Gandalf have all been freed! But alas, yet again, DarthTex has escaped! Along with Daala, to parts unknown ... errrr! Sesswenna sector: With the majority of Imperial systems captured or under blockade, there isn't much left to do but go after Coruscant. Since my invasion fleet was sent to the Quelli sector, I send for the fleets currently in the Calaron sector to head to Coruscant. Upon their arrival, some interesting news comes to light: Coruscant has been hit by a natural disaster! All of the Gen Cores and LNR batteries have been destroyed! The only facilities left are mines & refineries. A quick bombardment destroys 8 Stormtroopers and 1 Dark Trooper units. General Griff has only Darth Maul and some commandos and espionage droids to defend the capital. The assault is on ... all Imperial spec forces have been destroyed, and Griff with Darth Maul have ... escaped! The cut scene begins ... and the game ... is over. Raw materials are 285, refined materials are around 22,000 with maintenance points around 5,550. The Alliance headquarters is still located on the Chrondre system in the Jospro sector. Even now while the Alliance celebrates its (temporary) victory over the Galactic Empire, Emperor Palpatine is contemplating his escape and rise to regain power, once the Alliance becomes complacent. Stay tuned for another saga? … Rebel Uprising III? ... Maybe ... 451

You mean to tell me that you humans are just getting to the point where you realize there are 10 dimensions? By the Force! When will you people learn?!? If a penny is copper, and a quarter is silver, what color is a nickle? Well, first off I'd like to mention there are 11 dimensions (publishing is a bit behind the times; it has something to do with people being obese and stupid, or something like that). Aren't nickels made of nickel? Nickel? Ouch, BEAKed

I think you're right there Mitth. I have a (legal) downloaded copy of Ylesia (PDF format), but haven't read it, just scanned a few pages here and there. But I did read Thraken Sal-Solo is in control of the Peace Brigade. Better knock on some wood, TacoJoe. Pissin' off ol' Father Time isn't in your best interests (and I should know ... tick-tock ... tick-tock ... tick ... tock ... ... beeeeeeeeeeeep ... j/k I'm still alive!)
-
I'll keep that in mind , it might "spice" things up a bit
-
Just a heads up Tofu; two (well at least I think it's two) of the stories are e-books: Ylesia and ... can't remember the other. When you look at the timeline on the first few pages of the next book, they should be designated by an *. I checked Amazon, they have them to purchase, but according to the reviews ... just skip them.

Family ID changes....tell us what you have experimented with
DarthTex replied to errantone's topic in Rebellion Editing
@E: Yeah, that's kinda what I thought, but was abit confused when he mentioned getting other's experiments. Because that would be difficult if you didn't have the same, or same type, of editor for comparative results If you read the other thread first, maybe it would have made more sense, or combined them into a single thread -
I believe the original plan was for 2006, but it seems to have been pushed back, and again, and again, and ... One of the original issues was that the TV Corporations had to relinquish their original TV frequencies to get their HD band. But they (the TV Corps) wanted to "sell" their old bands for $. The US Gov't then pointed out the "fine print" that the gov't owned those bands and that they were given to the TV Corps for free use and the gov't retained ownership. Without the $ from selling the old bands, the TV Corps then went on the delay saying they needed extra time to purshase equipment & such, since they were tight on $. Cable companies are going to make some good $ in the near future: 1) they'll provide HD signals for those with HD TV's, & 2) they'll provide converted signals (from HD down to analog) for those who don't have an HD TV or some kind of "box" to convert for them. Of course, the people making converter boxes will make some quick $, but as more people eventually switch to HD TV, they won't need the converter boxes (basically a "niche" market with a relatively short lifespan). The first converter boxes will probably be expensive, and it'll be cheaper to get cable & let them do the converting. By the time the boxes become cheap enough, either people will be on cable or will just decide to bite the built & get HD TV. Analog is a dinosaur; it just hasn't realized it's dead just yet.

I wish the Empire would kick my arse; at least that would be an interesting game. That's what I'm really trying to do, tweak the game such that it will be competitive despite the AI I think I might give the AI one more interation as the Empire, before I "switch sides"; but I might put that off, just to help keep your spirits up Paul

Rebel Uprising II! Day 1200, current status. I'm on the offensive to end the game ... and the hammer is coming down! Glythe sector: Ben Kenobi is doing diplomacy on the former Imperial system of Elrood. Support for the Alliance is ~60%. He's making quick progress with the locals. Churba sector: There are two Imperial systems in this sector, Lelmra and Bespin. Admiral Han Solo (with Leia) is over Bespin blockading the system with 2 Dauntless cruisers (loaded with 8 X-wings) and an interdictor, while a single interdictor blockades Lelmra. Imperial influence in this sector has been effectively neutralized. Farfin sector: Borsk Fey'lya is doing diplomacy on the former Imperial system of Tanaab. Support for the Alliance is ~60%. All remaining Imperial systems in this sector: Byss, Bilbringi, Phraetis, Wistril and Firro, are still under Alliance blockade. I have four bulk transports (with troops) available for assaults, but things look OK with the Imperials effectively imprisoned by Alliance fleets. Fakir sector: The remaining Imperial system in this sector, Ando, has been assaulted! Vanden Willard has arrived at Halowan and is just getting started working over the bad influences from the Empire. Quelli sector: My six corvettes have linked up with an interdictor over Corstris, and have been deployed to the Moddell sector to try and flush out an Imperial dreadnaught conducting raids on Alliance systems. More on that next. Other than that, the only thing going on in this sector is the impending arrival of Imperial escort carrier over Amorris, where an interdictor is waiting. Atrivis sector: Order has been restored in the Tibrin system. Jack O'Neil is slowly making some progress with the locals to cooperate with the Alliance. Otherwise, the remaining systems in this sector are quiet. Moddell sector: An Imperial dreadnaught has been conducting raids in this sector. Most are just quick blockades without event. I initially had a difficult time trying to identify what was causing the problems, as the Imperial fleet would flee before I could respond to the messages. But at the Adega system, the Imperial fleet bombarded the local garrison before fleeing. That's when I learned, the Imperial fleet was a single dreadnaught pulling raids. I have 2 Dauntless cruisers with 8 X-wings and an interdictor at Endor. They are now randomly patrolling the sector searching for the elusive Imperial dreadnaught. To help in the search, I've sent for 6 corvettes (with an interdictor) from the Quelli sector. The dreadnaught eventually shows up at my base over Endor, now that my fleet has left. But it will not help him that much, as I still have 6 A-wings, 6 B-wings and 6 X-wings stationed there. There is no battle as the dreadnaught flees from the incoming fighters. He has fled to the nearest Imperial system, which is ... Amorris in the Quelli sector. I dispatch my Dauntless Cruisers there ASAP, hoping to arrive before he does. The Imperials at Amorris are in for a big surprise! Calaron sector: My fleet reinforcements for the 7th fleet over Morvogodine, have been split off into their own invasion fleet. Sarin Virgilio has been made Admiral of the new fleet: 3 Dauntless cruisers, 4 escort carriers and 2 bulk transports (with a good mix of troop types, 7 B-wings and 29 A-wings). The invasion fleet heads to Kubindi. Kubindi only has a couple of Tie Fighters for defense, and they are quickly destroyed. Ground defenses only consist of 4 Imperial Army units and a single Gen Core II. I would like to keep the Gen Core II intact, so I send for some infiltrators. After several days of waiting they arrive; 14 of them. I send them down distributed somewhat evenly to sabotage the Imperial Army. Three of the four groups have succeeded after a couple of days. All returning units are tasked to take out the remaining unit. That was easy. With no ground troops, the assault by Alliance troops is just a walk in the park. Kubindi is now under Alliance control. I've flown Luke in on a corvette to do diplomacy for the Alliance. He's slowly making progress. Lando is having a difficult time with diplomacy at Morvogodine. Jerijador is the remaining Imperial presence in this sector. I may blockade them in the near future to cut off their resources to the Empire. Kanchen sector: My sector fleet (1 interdictor, 2 assault frigates, 2 Dauntless cruisers and 3 escort carriers) has been restocked with fighters (18 A-wings & 8 X-wings). There are reports of an Imperial escort carrier enroute to Xa Fel. I send my fleet to catch the straggling ship before it can slip away, with a brief stop at the Imperial system of Vodran. I want to quickly bombard the local garrison, but have run into a problem due to a Gen Core. I send for Jan Dodonna and make him the fleet Admiral. The next bombardment takes out the Gen Core the local garrison, and unfortunately an orbiting shipyard. Imperial support now grows throughout the sector and the Neutral people of Davnar have decided to rejoin the Empire. I can do nothing but push on to Xa Fel. My intel is a little off as there is also an ISD and a dreadnaught with the escort carrier, and all ships are maxed out on fighters (13 Tie Fighters, 2 Tie Interceptors). The Dauntless cruisers and assault frigates are assigned to attack capital ships, with the other ships (and fighters) and assigned to attack the Ties. The Imperial fleet doesn't stand a chance. As the fighters slug it out, the capital ships pound each other. The newer, stronger Alliance ships make quick work of the outdated Imperial fleet. When all is done, the Imperial fleet is destroyed and I've only lost 7 A-wings. Davnar has gone back to being neutral (probably due to the fact that there is now no Imperial fleet to defend them from Alliance assault). My fleet has returned to blockading Munto Cudro (the so called Imperial capital for this sector). Corellian sector: Imperial support in this sector has greatly fallen in the last couple of months, and now is the time to push it over the edge. The 17th fleet under the command of Admiral Tallon Karrde and Commander Pink-5 (1 MonCal cruiser, 1 corvette, 4 assault frigates, 1 VSD, 4 escort carriers and 1 interdictor with 21 X-wings, 7 A-wings and 2 B-wings) has been upgraded to now include 8 bulk transports (loaded with a majority of Wookies), 4 Liberator cruisers and 4 escort carriers (with 12 A-wings, 18 B-wings & 18 X-wings). My fleet is now off to take the Imperial stronghold on Drall (2 Golan III's, 3 interdictors, 3 escort carriers, 4 Star Galleons and 15 Tie Interceptors). When my fleet arrives, it's obvious the Imperials are outgunned. All of my ships are tasked to attack Imperial capital ships, and I send them off. I wait for the Imperial fighters to come before turning the A-wings and X-wings loose on them. Several Ties don't make it through the gauntlet of Alliance ships, trying to get to their fighter targets. When my fighters engage, I task the B-wings to attack capital ships. The B-wings beat the capital ships to the first Golan III. The swarm of fighters is too much for it to handle and the shields are now gone. The fighters are on torpedoe runs when the capital ships unleash their turbolasers. With a massive explosion, the Golan III ceases to exist. Firepower from the fleet and the B-wings devastates everything it touches. The remaining Golan III didn't last nearly as long as its predecessor, and the remaining Imperial ships are crushed with a handful or two of salvos. The A-wings and X-wings are sent into the fray after taking out the Imperial fighters. For the massive destruction of the Imperial fleet, I've only lost 1 B-wing, 7 A-wings and 7 X-wings. A single bombardment of the system bring Drall to the Alliance (no assault required). Intelligence reports are coming in from all over the sector. DarthTex has been located on Talus, Imperial ships (stragglers) are enroute to Tralus and Xyquine. I've sent the corvette with Snake, his infiltrators (plus more reinforcements) and captives (Brandei and Grand Moff Conway), to Talus to capture DarthTex. Their arrival is turned back by 14 Tie Interceptors. At this point I split my fleet at Drall. The bulk transports stay put, the reinforcement carriers (4 Liberator cruisers and 4 escort carriers) are sent to Tralus (fully loaded), and the 17th fleet goes to Talus. The 17th fleet easily dispatches the 14 Tie Interceptors, and Snake's ship is brought back. Snake has 64 infiltrators with him. Using 25 of them as decoys, and the rest (39 of them) join Snake for the abduction of DarthTex. But the Darkside of the Force is strong; the mission has been foiled and Snake Plissken has been captured! NOOOOO! I send all 64 infiltrators to abduct DarthTex. Again the mission is foiled, and only 4 infiltrators return! DarthTex has killed 60 infiltrators! NOOOOO! It will take months to get enough infiltrators to try again, or even bring in some characters competent enough for the job. Ugh! I bombard the system and destroy the local garrison. The populace throws off the shackles of Imperial rule and joins the Alliance. Snake Plissken is free, but alas, DarthTex has escaped (again)! The 17th fleet now heads to Selonia, where after a bit of "turbolaser" diplomacy with the Imperial garrison, the system joins the Alliance. The fleet then heads off to Xyquine. Xyquine is lightly defended with 6 Tie Fighters and 3 Tie Interceptors, and they are quickly dealt with. After awhile the Imperial reinforcements (1 Star Galleon, 6 Tie Fighters and 5 Tie Interceptors) attempt to break my blockade. They are utterly destroyed! The local garrison is then bombarded, followed by the local populace joining the "Alliance for Us" parades. Meanwhile, my reinforcement fleet (4 Liberator cruisers and 4 escort carriers) has arrived over Tralus to find 5 Tie Fighters, 16 Tie Interceptors and 7 Tie Bombers. The Imperial forces are destroyed with only the loss of 9 fighters. The bombardment of the local garrison is not successful. The presence of a Gen Core and lack of a commanding Admiral have hampered efforts to liberate the planet. Mazer Rackus with several infiltrators arrive from Duros and proceed to sabotage the Gen Core. After a couple of days the mission is a success! The follow up bombardment proves devastating to the Imperial garrison, as yet another system has now joined the Alliance. The populace on Corellia has gone into uprising over their oppressors! My fleet departs to Selonia to intercept an Imperial ISD that is soon to arrive. Sesswenna sector: After most Imperial support systems have been liberated, conquered or blockaded, parts of the Alliance fleet from all over the galaxy will gather at Coruscant for the final assault on tyranny. The time is now being measured in months, after years of hard fighting. Raw materials are 10, refined materials are around 7000 with maintenance points around 4500. The Alliance headquarters is still located on the Chrondre system in the Jospro sector. 394

hey old timer forum members! help wanted!
DarthTex replied to errantone's topic in Rebellion Editing
Well, I might be an old timer, just not an "old timer forum member" My best guess on who could help answer your question would be The Mask, Cain, or Vakundok. I'm sure there might be others, but that's who I remember reading about in earlier (old) threads. If you don't get a decent response, send them a PM with your questions. That info would definitely be interesting to know -
@Rob: "Snail mail" is a physical letter sent via the US Post Office; a hand written envelope, with a stamp (39 cents now), hopefully with a return address. That was the "only" way to send mail until the advent of "e-mail". It's still in use today, and has been in use for thousands of years. @Tofu: my suggestion; drop the "snail" and change it to "Alaskan"
-
Well, considering my "character" ... I don't need a Jedi (Knight or Master); Wookie's are quite intimidating; and others have their pros & cons. I could handle any "troublemakers", but the problem would be all of the "wanna be" young whipper-snappers out to make a name for themselves; I'd never get a chance to finish my drink! So, I need someone/thing to keep away the "riff-raff", ... hmmm ... got it! My "companion" would be a RANCOR (actually, more of a "pet") Whoever got past him ... I'll personally buy them a drink (then take them out, if necessary)
-
Ditto. The answer is parent interest/interaction with their children, and M-O-D-E-R-A-T-I-O-N when it comes to "food" (forget the "junk" food, nobody really needs it).
-
It's Yockey, and there's only two names listed in the white pages for Vermillion, South Dakota (both have the same address & phone number). So, either they are his parents, one of his parents, or siblings, or relatives. So, the question is: make a phone call -or- write a letter? (hoping that they are related and can get in contact with him, or pass along his information to us). I'll volunteer to write a letter, anybody else want to? Anybody want to call?

I "arranged" a Halloween date for you Tofu ... although, it might not work out http://img56.imageshack.us/img56/6001/tofudateza5.jpg

Indeed they can. I was only reading today it's their economic aid which is more or less keeping the North Korean regime going. Given the Chinese have just discovered over the last ten years the benefits of being an economic powerhouse far outway achieving much by conflict and force, I don't think they're going to want a loose canon in their neck of the woods armed with nukes. It's also saying something when the Prime Ministers of China and Japan stand on the same platform to condem North Korea's present actions. The Chinese will only exert "force" only as long as it serves their purposes. As long as North Korea operates as a "rogue" nation, they're more of a problem for the US (and its allies) than for China. So in that regard, they'll only exert "minimal force" on North Korea (just to "look good" to the rest of the world). Just my two bits worth PS: I think China is saving North Korea for its "wild card" when the invasion of Taiwan starts. Then the US will have double the trouble to worry about (and China gets "plausible deniability" for any crazy stuff that North Korea does ... under Chinese orders)

Theaters.......what's the things have you smuggled in.......
DarthTex replied to errantone's topic in Outside Interests
OK, you probably seen those hunting traps with the "steel jaws" that snap shut if they're stepped on. Back in the day, they were used to trap animals for their fur and to get rid of "pest" animals. Sometimes the traps would be found with only the animals "foot" in the trap. The animal would "gnawl" off its own foot/leg to get out of the trap. Pretty nasty and cruel stuff Now, we have a saying "coyote ugly" (for the women picked up at bars; you know the "ugly/undate-able" ones). That's when you're drunk and you take one of these "women" home for the night. Well, when you wake up in the morning (with a hangover) and realize you're with the "woman" in bed (she's sleeping on your arm). Instead of waking her up, you gnawl off your arm to escape. Got it? -
Rebel Uprising II! Day 1100, current status. I'm on the offensive to end the game ... Glythe sector: The Imperial system of Elrood has been assaulted by Alliance forces. Although the system is not of any real military value, it was the last Imperial system in this sector. Ben Kenobi is doing diplomacy with the local bureaucrats to bring support over to the Alliance. Farfin sector: The only major Imperial presence on this side of the galaxy is in this sector. Unfortunately for the Empire, their presence has been weakened by the Alliance assault on Tanaab. All remaining Imperial systems in this sector: Byss, Bilbringi, Phraetis, Wistril and Firro, are all under Alliance blockade! Alliance Golan III's are located over Byss, Bilbringi and Phraetis. I don't have all of the necessary troops to assault every system ... yet, but I don't think it's really necessary. The Imperial forces can live (temporarily) on their planets, effectively imprisoned by Alliance fleets. Fakir sector: The (former) Imperial systems of Delaya and Halowan are now under Alliance control. Vanden Willard is currently enroute to Halowan for a diplomatic mission, and my invasion fleet is enroute to the last Imperial system in this sector: Ando. Corellian sector: The uprising on Vagran has been suppressed by Imperial troops. Bothan spies have determined that there are currently 79 troops emplaced on the surface, with 34 more still enroute. I've dispatched my fleet from Duros under the command of Admiral Tallon Karrde and Commander Pink-5 (1 MonCal cruiser, 1 corvette, 4 assault frigates, 1 VSD, 4 escort carriers and 1 interdictor with 21 X-wings, 7 A-wings and 2 B-wings) to take care of the Imperial garrison on Vagran. I have a "massive" build of infiltrators underway on Duros. The fleet arrives at Vagran, which is totally undefended in space. It takes only 3 salvos from the fleet to eliminate the 79 Imperial garrison troops. Vagran is once again part of the Alliance. The carnage from such a loss is indescribable. Imperial support drops throughout the sector. The fleet heads to Corfai defeating a pathetic Imperial fighter defense of 6 Tie fighters. My infiltrators work on weakening a Gen Core II shield while Bothan spies gather intelligence. A large group of infiltrators is enroute to the fleet from Duros. My spies have informed me that Grand Moff Conway has completed Imperial ship R&D and that Brandei is on the planet. My infiltrators try to abduct GMC, but they are constantly foiled. With the arrival of more infiltrators, I change tactics and abduct Brandei first. I use approximately 30 infiltrators with about 10 decoys to abduct Brandei. Success takes only a couple of tries. With even more infiltrators arriving, I set my sights on GMC! It takes several tries, but eventually I get the ratio of decoys correct. It takes 50 infiltrators with ~15 decoys, to finally capture Grand Moff Conway. Welcome to the Alliance. It's nice to know, that even a Sith Lord has his limits. With one of the Gen Core II's out of the way, I assault Corfai. Another system has now joined the Alliance, and again Imperial support drops through out the sector. I have a major fleet upgrade in the works: 4 bulk transports, 4 escort carriers and 4 Liberator cruisers (with approximately half these ships enroute). Fighters are available, but troops are still needed. Kanchen sector: My local sector fleet has been patrolling through the sector blockading and raiding Imperial systems; fighter defenses are swept away and local garrisons bombarded. The fleet is now enjoying some R&R at Culroon III. Intelligence reports show another Imperial fleet buildup at Munto Curdo. I'll wait a couple of more weeks for all the Imperial ships to arrive before departing to go and destroy them. My fleet (1 interdictor, 2 assault frigates, 2 Dauntless cruisers and 3 escort carriers with 26 X-wings) has cornered the Imperial fleet (1 dreadnaught, 1 interdictor, 1 escort carrier, 1 Star Galleon with 14 Tie Fighters, 14 Tie Interceptors and 4 Tie Defenders). My cruisers and frigates are ordered to target capital ships, while all the other ships and fighters are to go after the Tie's. All Imperial ships, with exception to the dreadnaught, are on anti-fighter duty. The Imperial ships are being systematically wiped out while the fighters continue to slug it out. But in the end, it is futile for the Empire: all their space forces are destroyed. I've lost 16 X-wings. System bombardment eliminates 14 Dark Troopers, 3 War Droids and 1 Imperial Army unit. The Davnar and Derra IV systems have declared neutrality after witnessing the defeat of Imperial forces. Jan Dodonna is now working diplomacy on Derra IV. In a few short weeks Derra IV has joined the Alliance. Calaron sector: The Imperial system on Morvogodine has been assaulted by Alliance forces. 1 Imperial Army, 8 commandos and 1 Nogrhi have been destroyed. Unfortunately General DarthTex has escaped. Kubindi and Jerijador remain the only Imperial systems in this sector. Atrivis sector: The Empire has corrupted the government of the neutral system of Tibrin. I have a medium transport in orbit over Tibrin (it was hiding from a raiding Imperial ISD going through this sector). I've moved 2 MonCals onto the transport, then assaulted the system. Obviously, the system is in uprising, but I have several troops enroute to meet the local garrison requirements, plus Jack O'neil is enroute to put down the uprising. Churba sector: Two Dauntless cruisers loaded with X-wings have broken an Imperial blockade of Tokmia by an ISD. Han Solo has been made an Admiral and is enroute to Bespin to chase the Imperial ship. The ISD is not at Bespin, but at least Bespin is now under Alliance blockade. I have an interdictor enroute to join the cruisers to keep Imperial ships from fleeing. A couple of Imperial ships have shown up, but quickly retreated from the Alliance fleet. Quelli sector: I have 6 corvettes raiding the Imperial systems in this sector. They have taken out fighter defenses and bombarded local garrisons when possible. An Imperial VSD has shown up trailing my fleet driving them from Imperial systems. The Kirrek system has declared neutrality after the local Imperial garrison was destroyed by my corvettes. One of my corvettes has taken severe shield generator damage after the last Imperial fighter encounter. My fleet is getting some R&R over Corstris. Sesswenna sector: Nothing is really happening with Imperial forces on Coruscant. I'm building up my invasion fleet at Svivren with lots of carriers, capital ships and troop transports. Once in sufficient quantity, I'll try to break through the system defenses (2 Gen Core II's plus 1 Gen Core I, an LNR II battery and a KDY battery) and land the troops. My fall back position is to get Snake & his 50 infiltrators to sabotage the Gen Core's. Raw materials are 0, refined materials are around 1700 with maintenance points around 3300. The Alliance headquarters is still located on the Chrondre system in the Jospro sector. 336
