  1. I always build a Death Star, and save it for but one purpose: to destroy the Rebel HQ! The Death Star hides in the outer rim, protected by the shield, awaiting the perfect time to strike.
  2. Thanks Evaders. The problem was that my Rebellion installation was on tyipcal. So I reinstalled the program onto my harddrive, and everything works!
  3. Should I uninstall Rebellion and reinstall it? Or is the RebEd the one I should reinstall?
  4. Hey guys. I downloaded RebEd, and I also saved a few of the cards to my computer. When I go into the RebEd menu and go to load card, it says "you must have a complete install for loading cards". Did I install the wrong program? HELP!
  5. The main characters are the ones that "talk" to you. They are Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, Vader, and the Emperor. I thought that they could not "die" in the game.
  6. For all of you Simpsons fans out there: They have just released a new DVD titled "Bart Wars". It contains four episodes, but the main reason I bought it was that one of the episodes is the Mark Hammil one I mentioned earlier. It is such a great episode. The DVD was only $7. I highly recommend it.
  7. I always had them go on seperate missions. Next time I play, I'm gonna try a group mission and see how it works out.
  8. Well, I can give you a few ideas. For the corellian corvettes, I always name them "Tantive __". Fill in the blank with the number of the ship. I do this simply because the Organa corellian corvette is the Tantive IV. Also, I name all of my dreadnauts with the periodic table of the elements. Each ship is a different element. As for the large starships (Calamari starcruisers, Bulwarks, etc) I use the last names of famous people.
  9. I agree with Nero. I love the Emperor's leadership booster. I keep him on Coruscaunt as long as possible! The Imperial officers blow the Rebels away! And I also like to create the Death Star, even though it takes forever.
  10. One of the main problems is that you are using Luke. The Emperor and him will always face off if one of them is on mission. In order to sabotage those shields, Luke (and any other Force-attuned characters) must stay out of the mission. My advice is to use a team of 4 characters, with the highest espionage you can find. Send in one as the actual agent, and the other three as decoys. I have done it under similar circumstances with Han as the main guy, and Chewie, Page, and Garm as decoys. It worked wonderfully.
  11. Im not sure if there is a progression chart or anything like that. But I would def. send R&D missions. It is imperitave to increase facilities as swiftly as possible. Also, the Rebels really need it to increase their capital starship possibilities, and the Sullustrians are excellent as early as possible, due to their high detection and low production. Also, many of the characters that have research abilities have other skills that are not as relevant until later (many have just leadership only). So in short, research as much as possible! Its worth the loss of a few guys on mission.
  12. My biggest fleet was when I was playing as the Imperials. I had a fleet I had named the "Katana Fleet". It consisted of 100 Imperial Dreadnauts. It was pretty neat. I had it patrolling and colonizing the Outer Rim planets.
  13. I very rarely get hit with natural disasters. But they can really hurt, if it's a system with a ton of facilities that you rely on. I hate it when it happens on a construction yard world.
  14. I must agree that I also enjoyed the references in Keven Smith's films. I liked in Chasing Amy, when they were talking about how there are no good black sci-fi personalities, and the one guys like, "what about Lando?".
  15. Dont you love it when you're watching your favorite show, and suddenly they throw a Star Wars reference out? And your laughing, and everybody else just looks at you? I love to see television spoof/ reference Star Wars. So whats your favorite? I have two. My first is from the Simpsons. There is an episode where Mark Hamill comes to town (Hamill actually guest-voice). It is so hilarious. Basically, Hamill is there for a comic book convention. As the episode goes on, Homer becomes the mayor's bodyguard, and the mayor wants to see the broadway show, "Guys & Dolls". Well, once there, it is revealed that the star of the broadway is Mark Hamill, and hes prancing around on stage, singing this crazy song about Yoda. It's great! In the end, Hamill claims that he breaks a leg, and forces Homer to carry him through a crowd of protesters. It was classic. My second is from South Park. Theres an episode where Johnny Cockrin comes out to defend someone, and gives his "Chewbacca Defense". I can't explain it. It's just Cockrin, rambling on for like 2 minutes about Chewbacca, and something about why he would like to live on Endor. A must see for all ages! So whats your favorite???
  16. The Silmarrilion was definetly a great work. It's almost like a "bible", so to speak. So much going on, so many characters thrown around. But it's such an important work. I was pleased with the movies. Of course, being a fan of the books before the movie, I had some qualms with Jackson. But I think that I had less to criticize Jackson about than I did with Lucas.
  17. Playing the game online is just not as fun as playing with the actual cards. I never had the entire collection to choose from. But from the looks of the sites, Im assuming the entire card pool is at your disposal. It sort of takes the fun out of the game.
  18. Wow. I'll never look at Fett the same way again.
  19. I agree. I don't believe that Palpatine's facial scarring/decay had anything to do with Windu. Palpatine let loose all of his bottled up anger (or whatever negative energy he had) and it took its toll on him.
  20. That link was cool! I had no idea you could watch the episodes online! I thought I would have to wait for the DVD.
  21. I have seen it on ebay before. I think it goes for about $30 U.S.
  22. Lucas should definetly continue the story. If he chooses not to, then he should give the rights to somebody else who dreams of continuing the saga. I think it would be so sweet to have a third 3-part trilogy that was animated. It would be (in my opinion) based on the best SW novels, Zahn's Thrawn trilogy. It would be cool to be animated because maybe they could convince some of the OT's talent (Hamil, Ford, Fisher) to reprise their roles. I just couldn't watch a SW movie that had a Han Solo that was not Ford. Or maybe even have a totally new story, with no returning characters.
  23. Im prefer the platform systems to the PC. I personally use the PS2, and am very excited for the PS3. I love that fact that Sony was smart enough to allow the improved editions of the PS to play older games (PS3 can play PS1 and PS2 games). I will definetly wait at least a year before buying. No point in spending $400 for something that will be $200 within months. I love how Microsoft named its new model the 360. I heard its because Microsoft doesnt want to go out on the market with an X-Box2 and compete against the superior sounding PS3. Makes me chuckle.
  24. Is anyone here into the Lord of the Rings? Not just the movies, but Tolkiens actual novels? I just think they are so awesome. I must have read the trilogy like 10 times. My mother used to read The Hobbit to me when I was like 5.
