Hell must have frozen over for that to happen! Hallelujah! In agreeing we have kicked evil's ass... woo and yay! Yeah... -
Ouch... Humanity seems to have hit an all time low... Tell me is Neil Cicierga a psuedonym for George Lucas? Both films have the same entertainment level.

While we're on the subject, what would the prequel trilogy be like if it was based around a lot of the EU? I enjoy the idea of Zahn of having the good guys fighting the clones. The second movie for me is where Anakin should have fallen to the dark side. The third should have been the Return of The King of the series with a giant civil war between the Jedi, the clones, and the republic. With Anakin hunting down the Jedi (as the original trilogy says) Knights. There would have been a battle over and on Coruscant where Anakin destroys a last stand of Jedi Knights, and the clones destroy the republic. Palpatine takes control like he should and everything is great... But yeah. I just want to see Vader himself killing some Jedi. -

Meh, fair enough. -
Yes it is, I laughed myself silly at that. MST3K kicks so much ass... Ahh the joys of the original theme song.

Lucas was going to originally cast Leonardo but then decided against it because he wanted a less 'well-known' actor playing Anakin for whatever reason. Seriously though, Leonardo disappeared for a couple of years and reappeared and kicks ass at acting now. Granted that he doesn't have the martial arts training that Hayden does (Another reason why he was picked) he would be a huge improvement over the big block of wood that is Hayden running around on screen. I heard someone say once that Christian Bale would have been a good Anakin but I'm not so sure they could pull it off using him, despite the fact that he is a very good actor. Seriously though, a new Anakin, and a new director... As much as I dislike Williams, his ripped of music does work well for Star Wars -

What is your favorite lightsaber duel?
Aenivae_Ikeda replied to Sinister's topic in General Discussion
Before you started paying closer attention? Meaning what? The duel in ROTJ holds the most emotion in body language, music, and is just visually beautiful. Every other duel is just a bunch of fancy colors and special effects being thrown about randomly... Wow I sound horribly much like an Echani... -shivers- -

What/who would you have changed in the prequel?
Aenivae_Ikeda replied to jedirebel2001's topic in General Discussion
All of the prequels seem surreal, and like the comic relief of the original trilogy. Also, in the begining of all of the movies it says "A long time ago in a galaxy far far away" and when I was younger I believed that... Now all I believe is "Fairly recent, from the cranium of a moron". The whole thing is CG which pisses me off something awful because all of the shabby, falling apart ships and sets in the original trilogy seem real, like actual spaceships. The new ones just seem infomercial backdrops because the characters don't fit into them. The characters in it are badly displayed. The mystery that was Boba Fett is ruined by seeing him as a young child and without a helmet. Obi-wan is okay, but could have been a lot better. The Jedi all appear as morons, and could have been greatly improved. Maul was a waste of time since he had no development. I mean Lucas could have at least had scenes with him searching for the Jedi in public and displaying a wit, and intelligence... But instead he's just a goon. Lucas dispatches his characters too easily, I mean Stephen King does it too but only after he's let you know the character and like and appreciate them. That way when they die quickly you respond to it more angrilly, sorrowfully, all that jazz. Personally I would take Lucas off the team altogether and put Peter Jackson(As bad as that sounds) in charge. The man is amazing when it comes to meeting the bar. Actors... Natalie Portman could stay as Padme, she could do better with better scenes and lines. Hayden would be replaced with the original Anakin Leonardo Decaprio, and most everyone else would have been the same. The wookies wouldn't have been CG, but humans that way they would be more dynamic... -
I like the ending of troops. Good film... As for the "Christmas, in my millenium falcon, Christmas!"... Ugh... I hate you for finding that...

What is your favorite lightsaber duel?
Aenivae_Ikeda replied to Sinister's topic in General Discussion
The kind that would rather poor turpentine in his eyes then be assaulted by the completely CG set for a moment longer. I am a Star Wars fan as you said, that doesn't mean I have to enjoy every single thing Lucas shits out. I'll read the book and get the badly thrown together plot just as effectively. -

What is your favorite lightsaber duel?
Aenivae_Ikeda replied to Sinister's topic in General Discussion
Oh my god... Excuse me, I failed to watch the ends of all of the prequel movies because they sucked so much ass. I walked out of ROTS after the bullshit scene with Anakin and Padme and tried to block out what little I had seen of it. -
What is your favorite lightsaber duel?
Aenivae_Ikeda replied to Sinister's topic in General Discussion
As much as I love the duel with Maul, Obi, and Qui-gon, and the duel with Luke and Vader in ESB I love the duel in ROTJ with Luke and Vader the most. I don't know why, but when you look at the way Luke swings he has a very forceful, angry attack and well I just think it has a cool feel. Plus when he engages Vader after the "Then perhaps she will" line and the emporers music is on while they are fighting it is cool... I don't like the in between with Luke talking at Vader on the catwalk but it can't be helped. ESB comes close those, I love how Vader turns his lightsaber on and it is slow, and drawn out. The whole duel is badass but it's missing something for me... Also it is the only duel that uses a force power other than lightning, speed, or jump. John Williams is the best there is. Try listening to Dvorak, and Stravinski... Gustave Holst as well... You'll find the similarities between them and Williams to be striking... The Death Star firing theme song(The end of ANH) is almost completely stolen from Holst's piece "Mars"... It's absurd. Granted that he only had two weeks to write the score, I still don't like him that much... -
It's a Mr.Bucket reincarnate of course! Come back from the grave to exact his revenge on all of those who didn't vote for him as one of the new Reloaded characters!

Additionally, what you said about the bed Tofu... The person probably wouldn't actually be falling onto a bed if that were the case. They would probably lose their sense of self (Like when one undergoes a 'religious' experience.) and as such they would only imagine themselves as falling on a bed when in reality they would still be standing, but not be aware of anything but what their mind was telling them.

Parkour/Freerunning, for those of you who don't know...
Aenivae_Ikeda replied to Aenivae_Ikeda's topic in Outside Interests
I wouldn't think of it as 'people being stupid' mith. Granted that there are some dumbass Parkour people who use the techniques for stupid things, like showing off, and running from the cops, and these are the people who always wind up dead, or severely hurt. Whereas you take the (Dare I say "Zen") parkourers who aren't doing the moves in desparate situations, and therefore have more control, and are more aware as to their surroundings. It kind of makes me giddy (As sick as this will sound) to know that people who use freerunning for stupid things (Showing off, evading police.) usually end up in a world of pain. You don't find that in a lot of other sports. -

Well I'm not quite so stylish, and I'm not quite as fluent but I can distance myself from a given point fairly fast. Besides, Parkour is calm feeling, it's not so easy to do most of it when you are really pissed... I know, I've fallen before while trying this stuff pissed off... ah... Good times. -
You will still have the sensation of falling on it... Which is why it is a mental disorder... Because you think it is there, interact with it, even though it may not be there.
