Nexus is nothing like Homeworld. It is an entirely different experience. They are set in space in 3D - that's about all the similarities in terms of gameplay Last mod attempt for Nexus, I've not heard anything on that project at all. I don't know if its going anywhere
Not bad, some of the color doesn't convert right when going to the 256 colors, but that's probably just a palette problem. Lack of colors will do that.
You cannot "add" characters - this is a limitation of Rebellion However, you can edit characters already there. Hit "E" in Rebellion where you can edit their image and text, so forth.
Yes, we've seen those ideas. But really such a complicated game would take enormous amount of time to develop. Not to mention the fact, as a player, you would have to learn all these games to get something done. It's really just too complicated to develop and expect a player to play
Who is Gewirtz? All I see is he's attached to Battlefront and Clone Wars games. Did he even work on Rebellion? The only chance would be if you actually had talked to a programmer that worked on the entire code (not likely, they would never be allowed to release it legally) or you had talked to LucasArts management (who may have the power to actually get this done).
And topics moved... let me explain Mods (short for modifications) are changes to other games.. not Rebellion. This includes things like the HW2 Warlords mod. Total Conversions (TCs) are also changes to games, but we are using this specifically to talk about changes to Rebellion itself. The site itself started as a focus on Rebellion editing, thus the terminology that came first here. AdmiralToguroAni is correct, you would load TCs from RebED. Try starting at the RebED page: http://www.swrebellion.com/modules.php?name=Content&pa=showpage&pid=4
Really, don't go to the movie without reading the books. If you don't like the concept from the books, you won't like the movie either. That being said, I don't know anyone that actually dislikes Hitchhiker's. I'm pretty sure its something that everyone knows about, or at least heard the name. References to 42, Babelfish, Trillian.. you'll find references in everyday things.
http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/games/demos_updates/homeworld2.html I didn't know if anyone knew.. I certainly hadn't seen it before, I don't use a Mac at all. But there it is. Pretty cool.
Well depends on how you want to play.. offensively, defensively? I would recommend focusing on your spy level though. Getting that up helps a lot, once you get spies and sentries you can stop people from sabotaging you
