  1. Looks like all the blueprints they just took from the books (at least the SW ones). I don't know how legal that is, but its a cool resource
  2. Personally I've always wanted one of these... http://www.theforce.net/swtc/Pix/books/egvv/eclipse-eg1.gif
  3. Sorry guys, haven't been able to do that much with this yet. But I will My new link for Age 5: http://www.kingsofchaos.com/recruit.php?uniqid=zjqa8n2s
  4. I agree. I'm just saying Eville has other priorities, so it may not make it until version 1 or so
  5. Well Eville really isn't so focused on balanced gameplay, rather focusing on how many high quality ships he can get running in the game
  6. Just search for rebed.exe and create a shortcut to it
  7. Eville's been working on way to give ships a operation mode, so you just use a hotkey to change from normal mode to disabling mode
  8. Mm I'm not too sure. I think so, you just have to make a wreckage model of the ships in order to be salvaged. You'd have to ask Eville
  9. I think Palpatine needed Anakin for it to work, for the Sith to rule again. He needed to sow the deception of a Chosen One, to corrupt the Jedi's hope and ultimately purge the Jedi. Makes things very easy to become Emperor. (This really lends credence to the idea that Anakin's inception came somehow through Palpatine, which is never stated overtly, but was certainly an idea from Lucas)
  10. I don't agree at all. Some of the NJO books are the best written books in the Star Wars universe. I loved Star by Star and Destiny's Way. If you can get past Vector Prime, then it becomes much better. Some books may not be that spectacular (Balance Point was pointless), but the series as a whole is one of the best in story flow and continuity. It connects many parts of the Star Wars universe that would otherwise never be written about. Further writers have gone to do other Star Wars books in the prquel era, including Shatterpoint and the ROTS novel.
  11. We tried a ladder, but there wasn't much interest. If there's an notable interest in doing one, we will have one.
  12. Unforunately the windows are set up differently, you will have to modify them if you want them to match the buttons properly
  13. This is mostly to help me when creating maps. Good to see what's displayed in HW2 Note: the images may be different from the game, depending on the various background, light, fog settings, etc... This is just the start Backgrounds -------------- Planets --------------
  14. You don't get bored when you're conquering the entire galaxy..
  15. You new guys always confuse the heck outta me
  16. Well that clears that up. I'm still saying its not a true Rebellion sequel unless it has full 3D combat. Tactical mode needs to be like Homeworld. It seems to be rather focused strictly on RTS, in the lines of C&C, rather than the 4X design. Mostly what I've seen so far takes me to LOTR: The Battle for Middlearth game. Yes there's a map of sorts to conquer, yes there's some persistance in units and so forth, but overall it plays just like any other planar RTS game. That is not what Rebellion is.
  17. It is indeed corrupt. Have to ask Mask to fix it Try doing your sig through the Forums profile.
  18. Well the whole situation with China - blame the communist party. All religion is state-run. So basically its a forced atheist view. Before, it would have been predominately Buddhist - then with the "western"-ization of Chian, Christianity. When the Communist Party came into power, the official religion was "none". A whole generation has grown up there without having any kind of religion. Granted, there are a lot of persecuted groups in China - Christians being among them. But most people in China are concerned about the getting the $ to survive, not risking the eye of the communists. So I am not surprised that atheism (or at least agnosticism) would be the major "religion" there
  19. No plans to get an iPod. I just don't buy Apple products. They are good brand, if you want to pay for the brand name. But often you can get better products for much cheaper. Nothing against the company, they did a good job at marketing their products. The iPod, though not original, was a great marketing campaign for them. But personally, I'm not a Mac user. Nor do I subscribe to the idea that "everyone should get on because its stylish" I've gotten some cheap flash drive MP3 players, they work just fine for my needs. I have not gotten into the large capacity ones yet, but from what I'm reading, I really like the Creative Zen Xtra 60 gig. Large capacity, great sound quality, good price too. Acts as a hard drive connection on your computer too.
  20. No, however there was the "B-Wing" expansion for the original X-Wing game, disk version. It was later added into the full CD version
  21. I don't know what you would change to do this without the actual source code.
  22. I think the idea here is that Dooku was leading Anakin on. He didn't really expect to lose when Sidious was with him. That's why he kept Anakin battling, not doing some cheap trick like with Obi-Wan. He wanted him to let out that anger. Unfortunately, he miscalculated Sidious's own plan to make Anakin his new apprentice.
  23. Dooku had a much bigger role to play than shown in the movies. You'd really need to go through the books and the comics to get some of his story though. I think the closest book to get inside his head would be Yoda: Dark Rendenzous. No real books dedicated to either. Sidious/Palpatine, I expect, will always remain a mystery. I don't know if anyone will be allowed to write his backstory anytime soon.
  24. Orlok was a previous character in the Expanded Universe from the Classic Star Wars comics.
  25. In the 30s.. not bad. I'd thought it would rank much worse, given the crime, traffic, etc...
