  1. Don't expect to see advanced TIEs until the New Republic gets added as a faction

  3. Cap the number of upgrade points.. so at least they can't get all of them in a "super"-ship
  4. Structures and starbases are being worked on (though I'm not sure we can get the Death Star superlaser ingame hehe)
  5. Hmmm wondering why that is. What checksum is it giving? You may need to export from your local folder, which would remove the .svn files
  6. Can abilities give the same benefits as upgrades? Can they be permanent (or no timeout...)?
  7. There is discussion in the Beta Testing forum and Mantis about structures, research, etc. This is a Star Wars total conversion mod - ships will only be balanced against the other SW factions, none of the vanilla factions. You'd want the Star Wars: Requiem mod

    Heya!

    I hear the new Republic Heroes game is too dumbed down. My hopes on a good Clone Wars game has been Sins of a Galactic Empire and Imperial Assault 2 (mods that we host obviously).

  17. Is there a reason to keep different versions of the same ship? I was thinking it would be better to minimize the number of initial choices. I don't know if you could change mesh based on the upgrades, but at least ships with the same mesh could have different variants through upgrades. Say the Venator... it could gain "Jedi Commander" upgrade somewhere down the line instead of having two choices. Or the Droid Control Ship, which would start out as a droid transport (fighters) would gain battleship weapons as upgrades. I don't know if you could make upgrades "research-dependent" - but even things like advanced fighters would be nice to keep as upgrades. You only get the latest fighters if you've done the research/upgrade. I think that could avoid some redundancy and still give people options.... Choices whether to enhance your battleship as a fleet carrier or a battleship or a planetary bombarder. Not to remove the uniqueness of each ship, but (as game developers say) give people more "meaningful choices" to consider in the game.

  21. Just added the SW portraits Would love some help with the 2D graphics. Looking at the LogoRaces.tga - hoping to add the SW faction logos. Needs some work with the alpha channels

  24. Added Mostly you don't need to do anything with Mantis unless you find a bug. Check to make sure there isn't something already there (stuff like Research, structures, etc have their own placeholder already). If it isn't something you've seen not being addressed, go to "Report Issue" and report it
