  1. Oh yeah.. I always forget about that rank thing. A new rank for you. Hmm. Something to do with insanity seems appropriate Perhaps writing, or something from one of your writing pieces?
  2. I played the original Red Alert and the two expansion packs that came with. But, I never really got into Red Alert 2 ... I guess I just preferred the "realism" in the Tiberium series and stayed clear. Which is a shame, seeing most people seem to say RA2 was fun, and that's what you want in a game isn't it?
  3. Ahh hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha *coughs and clears throat* But seriously, games for a mac .... Hahahahahaha! Ok, ok ... ok...I'll try to catch my breath and ... hahahaha! Please, someone else take this one before I wet myself with laughter
  4. Texturing usually involves adding/editing UV coordinates, and creating a texture to fit the UV coordinates. UV coordinates are just used to set out the faces of your mesh onto a 2d plane. This plane (usually a square) is where the model takes texture data. Never having used this google thing, I'm not sure how limited it is in texturing - but I'd assumed there'd be a lot of info available online. Try searching for: "texturing" "mapping" or "UV"/"UVW". Side note to those interested, UV and UVW are just another set of axis like XYZ. As XYZ are used in a 3d environment to specify 3d objects, the texture coordinates get their own axis labelling to show that they're independant of one another. And you might have noticed that UVW comes before XYZ in the alphabet.
  5. For the fans of Command and Conquer, EA has (after some legal problems) put back up the C&C Movies website, where you can watch the all the cut scenes from the C&C saga - Tiberium or Red Alert eras. I should point out I didn't see any generals in the line up ... not that I'd imagine people complaining Command and Conquer Movies
  6. Some interesting points about the game. I've gotten these from CNCNZ (again, great source of CNC news ), but rather than strain their servers with some lurkers reading I'll repost what was written there.

  8. I saw The Mist yesterday, I was actually rather surprised by how much I liked it. I only really saw it because of a friend, so was expecting a lame thriller/horror. But, it turned out to be a lot better. You can tell that the screenplay was based on a novel, the settings, context and dialogue all show this and nothing feels too lame (even though a lot that happens in the movie is cliché due to the novels age). The first time I saw the mist actually attacks someone I let out an audible sigh after thinking 'it' was very lame. However, the dialogue and character interaction after makes you forget it, and eventually when death and destruction comes back to the story the mist has grown in character (so to speak). The ending is a real kick in the butt, I'll leave it at that Oh, and people who've play Half-Life 1 will draw some story parallels towards the middle/end of the movie. Damn I wanna play Half life 1 now
  9. Nice eagle! If you can see what formats you can save it/export it as I might be able to take it and turn it into a Rebellion compatible file for you
  10. Pictures thanks to CNCNZ
  11. Crap! I just thought about that last night whilst falling asleep that it isn't safe for work Sorry!
  12. I saw, and liked, The 6th Sense - however I did manage to guess the ending well before seeing it. Unbreakable, watched it and guessed twist towards the end. Nevertheless, I didn't like the movie. The twist was nice, but the rest of the movie was rather ... boring in my opinion. The Sign, I haven't seen it all - but, the start was kinda cool. I saw the end, and regretted it because it was pretty damn lame. Since Unbreakable and The Sign, I've given up with his movies until I hear that his next one is really good.

  18. Yup, like Eagle said you can get it anywhere - and just to clarrify, I didn't get it from some adult site Fortunatelly, I seem to have enough protection to stop most virus/trojans/adware through the net - it was just because this was a file I downloaded to the desktop and ran, it got past the defenses Well, there are problems. First, you need to make sure that the restore is before the virus (my earliest restore point was suspiciously on the day I got the virus), second that the restore point isnt infected - apparently common. Finally, the bad of restore points - it can delete things you've downloaded or made (word doc). ----- Oh, and: http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/1755/armyofvirusssevildead92zv3.th.jpg
  19. You know me too well Tofu I don't know what went wrong? I mean, I'm an adult ... and they're adult content - it just makes sense! Like things made for kids! I got it from surfing the net and attempting to get a program to "run again" after the licence expired - don't download and run just anything now kids. So, yes, one Trojan lead to another and another etc. etc. But all appears to be better now ... appears Side note: I almost did a quick photoshop of an Army of Darkness poster with Ash fighting of virii (what is the plural of virus?) ... almost. But, then ... well, I didn't.
  20. Ironically the best pizza I've had wasn't from an italian resturant, rather just some fancy new joint .. damn that was wood fired goodness. Well, enough drooling over my keyboard - lets get into old 80's car comercials! ...or, just the one. 1984 Chevrolet Corvette Commercial EDIT: And some failing
  21. Yes. World's worst port. Period. Oh, and the fact that the game itself is rather mediocre at best didn't help. So, just how bad was the porting of the game? Wellllll, Halo's graphics and engine were nothing ground breaking for its time and YET, year(s) later it was still used as a benchmark for hardware when Doom 3, Half-life 2 and FEAR came out. That's how bad it chugged along. P.S I'm back after fighting off a computer virus or 30.
  22. Brilliant work J! I love the lion face one!
  23. I'm thinking a snow shovel would be good ... and maybe a new katana?
  24. Got over 900 m. The secret is to push not too hard. And the angle - 1479.63 metres
