  1. I'm moving this to the bar until we can be sure. People are already too stressed out to take more uncertain news due to LEC confusing PR.
  2. Ahhhh what was in my head ?! The number is unlimited if they are destroyed but most probably if they are not they will be a limited number you can produce and keep on that ISD. Damn game magazines that don't explain well !

  4. Stop makeing duplicates topics like this one because i will delete them. People make pesimistic topics because they don't know enough about the game. As soon as Delphi will be here - things will clear up.

  6. Remember that there is a timer for those abilities - still - you just have to hide in the corner and the timer will work for you. Its also possible that this new spwaned units will be persistant so after battle you will have them. So here is what I will do: 1. I will have 8-10 AT-ATs and before the battle is won I will wait not destroying the last enemy or structure. And I will just wait for the timer to change over and over again to spwan more storm tropers in the time of the battle when the AI can't build anything outside the map in the galactic mode. 2. After milking the AT-AT of many stormtroopers I win and get them after batte. Cool no ? Or we may be wrong - we need Delphi to explain.
  7. As you always know the ISD in EAW will have an infinite number of TIEs that he will spawn session after session - limited only by time. So anyway who wants to see the ISD with a limited number of TIEs and also able to carry troops ?   10. Ehhh - you can complie an official statement regarding this - from PFF. But I'm not sure if it is required. Let's wait and see what Delphi has to say. EDIT: We are not a fan site - we are just a forum Topic closed.
  11. I see - its just a reply in some enormus topic. Nothing fully official and we can't do anything about it. I think you are over-reacting a bit Actually the initial error commed from LEC Forums when a dude pinned a topic that was saying Demo+December in its title and only changed that weeks after. I know it was maded by a fan but at that time probably even that LEC guy hoped for a december release. Even I hoped for that like the rest of us. Chill You can email Dave and ask him to clarify that but I suspect there is nothing to clarify. The pressure is on them and I'm not about to turn it on us. So I say it again. Relax guys !

Indeed DMUK talked a lot about the Demo- and the .net pushed harder than us for some news about it - but we knew from Petroglyph that noone actually knew the date. DMUK had better realtions with LEC so we assumed he knew more and I still bet my money that the LEC PR Dep is slow.

  17. So you can fly outside the space routes area - nice - but only towards a planet and considerably slower. To bad that you cannot also stop in the emptyness of space. Comme on - No research for the Rebels ?! They should be able to do some research at a slower rate. Much slower. I assume this vehicles that you steal - will remain yours after the battle. Then I will have in time an Army of AT-ATs for the rebels ... he, he ,he Nice - it seems that some characters will be able to fly fighters. I wonder if Vader's fighter has hyperspace a engine. I think that al the units should be able to self destruct. Unlimited ?! Come on ! In a defensive position I will use them as TIE factories or I will delay the outcome of a battle that i'm wining just to produce more TIEs - a lot more of them - he he he I just need to wait for the timer to start again. It is not fair for ships to spwan infinite numbers of fighters and its extremly unrealistic. Nice - I was worried a bit about this option. good to know that they are in. Now we asked Joe and he said that you can upgrade your hardpoints. This guys say the same it seems - but the LEC (D.S) sais you cant costumize them .... I'm confused. Come on ! Is the planet too small and I need to keep my troops in space ? Loll - Very funny. I also heard that huge maps have some lag problems ... ... Is this true Delphi ? The best feature yet ! I love it. It will be cool if you will see the ships passing thrue the planet athmosphere. Since you don't want to think that they are still in orbit. How will you explain that the Imperial fleet is not attacking them when you fight on land. Lets just say that they should fly on your screen over the land map and then release the transports ... etc. That will be cool. Nice - I love an AI that has initiative. My main worry is that the AI will react excesivlly to your actions rearangeing his troops in the galaxy over and over again and he will not do enough powerful offensive moves. SW Rebellion had this problem. Your hit and run tactics were slowing down AI build up and planned attacks since he always abandoned his plans to do a stupid move as a reaction to another simple move by you. Nice - I love Ackbar's option. I wonder how he will fight on land.

We did hoped that the LEC PR guys will prepare them self in advance for the Demo release ... but its seems that they still have to polish the event. Do not confuse like other fans the EAW developers or the LEC developers (they did their job well) with the LEC PR guys. They are a different departament and the Demo was ready as predicted - its just a matter of PR now. So anyway we have to wait now .... relax guys ! RELAX If they tell me that they are doing some extra testing in this time or fixing some WNFed (will not fix) bugs - then ... I will be more that happy to wait. But if it is only a question that they are not up in the final gear and we just have to wait for them to put all the PR things in place ... then I'm quite upset and sad - they should have been ready in advance for this event - but ill wait anyway like the rest of us.
  21. Well it is not fully complete. In the PTESB 2.5 the AI builds 11-12 same type buildings - shypiards or const yeards,etc on a single planet etc. I didn't managed to reproduce that now on a vanilla swr. Anyway the ideea is simple : The AI does a lot of stupid things and usually attacks you after he builds TIE/fighter defences and troops garrisons and shields mining rafin etc. So makeing the initial assets cheap to build and able to build a bit faster for both sides will help him get more speed. Also he makes a lot of pointless moves and bad fleets (you don't see them) until he makes a good move. Speeding up the ships will get the good move faster and a better game experience. I do not recomand many non-symetric changes to different ships - you may end up with the AI building excesivlly only one sort of ship type etc. So any changes to down/costs for fighters/troops/ships should be done from 25% to 50% to all of them not just ones. If you keep all the changes symetrical and bring costs low enough the AI will attack faster act quicker and be more of a challenge etc. ANd you still have the same feeling or excellent original balance. I hope it helps.
  22. Thanks - we appreciate it ... but I think we kind of knew that. Delphi said that the Venator is in MP and both factions can build it (something like that). So if you have an insider in the publishing area ask him pls. about other ships and stuff that we don't know about. A carrier for example.
