Hi, I ran Rebellion under 2k for almost a year without any problems. Try the original dll from your Rebellion cd and if that doesn't help, I'd try reinstalling the game, if you didn't do that already. Did you alter that dll in any way, for example editing it with Resource Hacker and then running RebED, or Rebellion, while the file was still open in Resource Hacker ? Hope this helps ya

Hmm, well I adjusted the weapon recharge rate to 7000 and I think it's going a trifle faster now. At least I can fire the thing twice now in a bigger battle.

Sure, there are the Imperial 3D archives with some backups of the old swma models (http://imperial.star-fleet.org/index.php). Watch the polycount on those models (below 10000 is fine with SWR) And from Darksaber's Opt station you should get all the XWA links you ever need. Be sure to ask the authors of the opts first, if you want to release a converted model, though. Also, check the original XWA models. You can convert them with a tool called opt23ds, which you can download from Darksaber's.

Ace, go ahead and convert the Dominator, if you already asked JM. I'm still tweaking the Strike cruiser models You say you can't model ? Well I said that about myself a while ago as well, but I'm learnig each time I fire up the 3d prog. Try out the primitive forms, like a cube, convert them to editable meshes and move the vertexes around a bit. You'll be surprised, what you can learn, even from failures Jojo, thanks To show you the light you sought: my latest provider didn't say, that the don't allow files over 1 MB, so I only found out during testing after uploading the page. But you can download the missing files here and when I have the time again, I'll fix those on my site as well.

Ok, we have Jahled for the first movie. Now we still need two people for the second one. The accent isn't that necessary for the stormtrooper and the infiltrator of the second movie, so I wouldn't let that stop me Ace, I really tried, but that's as small as they get, if you still want to recognize something. The first one with 1.5 MB shouldn't be a problem, but I can understand, that not everybody wants to download the 27MB beta of the second one. I tried various forms of compression and resolutions, but it didn't get any smaller. I could provide a few screenshots, if that would be helpful.

I had a Voodoo 3000 and the drivers are very stable. Rebellion itself is also quite stable, but only in the limits allowed editing, of course. So what was it exactly, that you edited with RebEd ? Your usual routine after installing the game. -

It's sad, that nobody has mailed me his recordings. It gets even sadder, cause I just uploaded the second movie Eclipse sabotage (27MB !) I need the following lines (2 people): 1 - Stormy, 2 - Rebel infiltrator 1 - "Hold it right there, Rebel !" 1 - "Get away from that console, slowly." 2 - "Ok, ok." 1 - "Arrgh." 2 - "Alpha to base, scratch one Eclipse" The filter for the stormy's voice is not necessary for you to apply, I can do that later. I've also been asked where the sound effects and music on the first movie were: as with this one, they'll be included with the voices This makes it a lot easier for me Now if only some volunteers would surface, that actually sent me some recordings ....

Ace, I didn't mean to replace yours, there's room for many modellers here I'll convert the Dominator somewhere along the line as well, cause JM allowed me, to convert all of the models on his page. Were you planning to build yours from scratch ? Please do so, then everyone can choose the models they like best and use them. The Interdictor and Enforcer are probably gonna be next, if I don't finish the Mod/Strike cruiser first INT and Enforcer are almost the same model, so they'll be released at the same time. Jahled, I've tried that on the picture with my budgie, but I didn't get a woo out of him. He just stumbled around dazed and tried to stare at me with his wobbling head

Ding ding, next round: the Mc90 Defiance ! Screenshots on my site, which is currently being reconstructed, so some of the older downloads there might not yet work. There are also the two new fighters I created, that you might not have noticed, since my site went offline shortly after their release: Y-Wing and the Assault Gunboat. Also I've completed a picture, that Jahled sent to me a while ago, a new background for tactical, check it out, see if you like it better than the stars in every corner on the old one

Ace mailed me and I seemed to have answered all his questions satifyingly Tsun and Trej, I know about the hangar bay of the Allegiance, but I wanted to see who'd notice first No really, if you look into the complete guide to Stardestroyers it is said, that the Allegiance has a few fighters and since I didn't want to add hangar bays at the side, which would've looked ridiculuous, I just left the usual bay location. Scath, I can't see where it went wrong. It looks like you did it all correctly. Is the file write protected ? Have you tried a fresh tactical.dll from the cd ?

3500-4000 is good. I'd suggest using a maximum of 10000 polys. Some earlier models from me exceeded that limit, but I'm working on replacements. Polycounts: Mc80b - 1337 Viscount - 4244 References ? Well I started with one original model and adjusted the rest to be in corellation to this one. For example, the ISD is supposed to be 1.6km long, so I made the VSD smaller accordingly to the size of the ISD.

Well, on the question of how to import them you could read my tutorial in the Downloads section, there's also a short chapter on how to create them, but if you know your way around in a 3D prog you don't need it. Also, I don't know when the release will be, but the Marauder is on my list as well. If anyone wants to make it before then, be my guest -

Sorry for delaying this a day, but just as I wanted to answer you yesterday the admin 'urged' us to leave the pc-pool at the university So if I get you right you got the mc80b texture, but you have problems with the color palette ? Ok, try this: use the template file I inluded in the new fighters tutorial, it already has the correct palette. Just copy your picture into that and it should be converted to that palette as well. Then the usual conversion with vakundok's bmp converter and you should be done. Of course, don't forget to give each of the three models its own texture, cause after the tactical battle the game would crash otherwise. If you need any other things, mail me. I should see that faster
