As it happens I just had an idea. Remember what I wrote about an installer for the TC ? -Scripting You have to save the entries, that are needed and create a ResHack script file for them. Then, along with the files start ResHack from the command line with the parameter for scripting (-s or -script, can't remember at the moment) followed by the name of the script file. After a while it should be done and the rest of your dll should be fine. If not, you'll be glad that you made a backup first

Sure I thought I already wrote that in my model replacement tutorial, but here goes: If you save a model with LithUnwrap into the .x format, the preview in RebEd will crash. I think it's because RebEd uses the standard DirectX functions to display the model and Rebellion's method is slightly ... different So if RebEd crashes, if you want to check out a new model, don't worry. Build one in the game and look for any lose ends there

Elvis, here's a bit of advice that might help you a lot. A prof at the first semester told us about it and it was such an obvious thing that I could've smacked my head on the table for not realizing this earlier. Make partitons One the first one you just install Windows and the programs you use. On the second one you install your games, personal files, etc. This way, if you need to format the Windows partition your other files will still remain unscratched. The size of the first partition depends on what Os you use and how many programs you install, but about 5 Gigs should be enough for an "average" setting. Also backing up your Win partition with a program as Ghost or Drive Image is invaluable. After setting up the pc to run perfectly the way you want it to and after installing the games you usually always have lingering on your hdd make that backup to another partition. If anything goes wrong you can repair your system to the working state in about 10 minutes, instead of spending days to reinstall Win and all the things you need.

That usualy happens, when you have all of the three models (close, medium, far) refer to the same single texture file. For instance, if the texture you use is called hull.bmp, have the close model refer to this, then simply copy and rename the hull pic twice and name them differently, like hull_m.bmp and hull_f.bmp and have the medium and far models refer to one of them instead. Import the altered models and the new texture files accordingly and everything should be fine
