I'd sign this agressive PR anytime  But have you considered, that some people might be intimidated by that ? What should we show from the completed things for Reloaded ? PM me, so that some surprises won't be spoiled here. I loved Force Commander, btw. It had a really good story and I still can't understand the critics about the interface .... I mean Black & White had almost the same and there it was "revolutional" Btw, I still have to finish it sometime. With Evader's help I got through two unnerving missions, but later I had to reinstall Windows again. But at least I have backups of almost every savegame I ever played.

My big beef with Rebellion: Just who picked the ships?
the_mask replied to Texas_Fett's topic in General Discussion
Yep, that minor bit of info would've come in handy So far I've always kept to Adam Overholtzer's complete guides and what's in the Cuswe. There's been a looooong discussion in the Reloaded board about what the MonCal cruiser designations meant and I think we settled for making Home One the prototype for a complete class of cruisers as well. Although it looks like an Mc80. The angular design of the "late" Rebel ships really doesn't fit in with the rest of the organic looking ones. Knowing my affinity to find ludicrous explanations for everything you might already wonder what would come next The Liberator, for example: the text says, that the Rebels bought this from SoroSuub, so they were most likely just looking to make a bargain -
Well the average challenge would consist of trying to bring about 30 different bmps onto a single picture, that your respective model-lod will be linked to. Then you'd drag the "corners" of every sub-object of the model onto the respective areas on the picture. I know I needed a lot of caffein and continuos replaying comedy cds to finish the Alliance fleet carrier. But for my updated tutorial, I'll start with something easy. I'll pick the same model me and vakundok used, to check his bmpconverter back then. I named it .... the horrible cube Mwahahaahaaa

Two minds, one thought I see you're a great team.Actually a picture search on google won't take that long, so I don't think he was typing from memory Ahh, you never know. Maybe after 7 hours you're gonna tell him, that it's just half-time To quote a certain smuggler "sometimes I amaze even myself"

Modest as always, eh ?

The "destroy system" option is greyed out for the Rebels, as far as I remember. The same should go for the laser icon during tactical. During a battle, neither side can control the Deathstar, but I think you could make the trench run yourself (not sure about this at the moment).

Well, that depends on your starfighter cover now, doesn't it ? Sure the loyalty will drop a bit, but it also goes down from lost battles or the constant uprising missions of the AI, so I don't think about that much until it reaches a critical level. On the other hand, I also don't fly around and lay waste to every planet, that my fleets orbit.
-
Umm, can't say that for certain, cause I'm sitting in a class right now, but I think it plays, when the Empire wins a battle and you see that event picture.
-
You never tried to build a "backup" Deathstar for your fleet before ? I did this pretty early, even before having RebEd, because I wanted to speed up the recharge time But the sound is there in the dlls, as far as I know.

My big beef with Rebellion: Just who picked the ships?
the_mask replied to Texas_Fett's topic in General Discussion
Evaders is right. When Rebellion was created, most of the ships you meantioned, weren't even created. Tie Fighter had the Mc40a and some of the other ships meantioned during that time, but ships like the Mc90 were created for comics and in case of the Mc80b in one of Aaron Allston's books. The only real alternative would be the Peregrine class, but that one didn't exist before X-Wing Vs Tie Figher's mission disc "Ballance of power" If this wouldn't have been made, I guess there would be XWA opts for the CC-7700, or anywhere else -
Some day, you oughta write your own tutorial on how to create these scenarios. Although I can only think of a few possibilities to achieve some of the things there, it would be quite interesting for everyone and would also spread the trend

Hmm, we've discussed this a lot here, although most of the times people asked us to send them complete images of the game. Thanks for not asking this in the first place Have you tried auctions, like eBay ? I don't know, if there's an extra page for Canada (probably not), but I know for example, that there's one for Germany and Austria. Anyways, I'd try ebay.com and ask, if they also ship to Canada. Good luck

Hi, Mi.. uhh ... Misses R. first of all, welcome to the small place, that your husband sometimes visits at work. Btw, nice avatar you chose Well, I've heard a few stories about where that name came from, one included a certain cake , but since we're all StarWars fans, most of us pick a certain character or link another to that universe. So, for the "fluffy" part, that actually goes back to where Jahled gets most of his funny animated gifs from and we rather associated kindness and compassion, than trying to call someone thick, or even leave the slightest possibility, that it could be interpretated this way. As for the marathon, well ... I gathered you were enjoying dancing with your husband, or was I mistaken ? Hmm, through the force, suddenly ... an idea, I get ...How about an hour in a nice hot bubble bath, where you can enjoy a good book, while some tasty chocolate and a well-flavoured, steaming cup of tea are waiting on a tray nearby ? What does this suggestion sound like ? Nah, not really , enjoy your stay.

You know I tend to make these Obi-one (off-by-one) errors But maybe I should create a patch someday, for my Missile boats

I've thought about that for a long time now, the second, updated version of my model importing tutorial. Maybe I can make some time during easter and maybe I can finish this other tutorial, that I've started ... ah .... 2 months ago But I better warn ya, texturing, especially of XWA models can take one or two days alone, if you know what you're doing

Ahh, so that's where IG 3 went. I've seen the videos and screenshots, when it still had that name and then suddenly I read, that it had been stopped and might be continued under a new publisher. Looks promising, though Hope they make it easy to mod

IIRC, it's in Empire strikes back, when you see the Executor in the asteroid field. Just as Piett comes to Vader and tells him, that he should contact the Emperor.
-
uhmm, I don't think you've read my former post completely. I said, we could promise her, that you would go to that endless dance marathon. Come on, one hour for the team, one for Rebellion, one for the corps, one .... And I'm still prepared as ever to make that promise

The Farlander Papers & The Stele Chronicles
the_mask replied to Texas_Fett's topic in General Discussion
Let's see, I had the Farlander papers in my X-Wing collector's edition, but not the Stele chronicles. Keyan Farlander from Agamar was an exceptional X-Wing pilot during he Rebellion. He didn't much care for politcs, until Mon Mothma held a speech on his planet and passing her famous "a call to reason" pamphlet around. During his first mission, he helped to recover important documents. The CUSWE claims they were on a shuttle, but I remember, that in the Farlander papers there was a Corvette, that they disabled and boarded. He was also in the battle of Yavin as a Y-Wing pilot and survived. In the NJO books he's a General and took part in the battle of Coruscant. Maarek Stele was the hero in the Tie Fighter game. He was a Tie pilot and had a connection to the force. This lead to him being noticed by the Emperor's secret order, also known as the "prophets of the dark side". He eventually became a member and rose through their ranks, until Grand Admiral Zaarin planned to overthrow the Emperor. For his succesful rescue, at the side of Darth Vader, Stele became an Emperor's Hand and flew with his master's personal escort squadron, "the Emperor's sword". After the battle of Endor he joined Fel's 181st wing. I found a picture of him a few days ago, on a page Trej (I think) found. It was from a guy, that Trej thought also painted for Dark Horse, IIRC. I'll mail it to ya right away. The prohets themselves could be seen as a group in Imperial Intelligence. They are all trained to use the dark side and make sure their visions of certain battle events come true. -
Thanks Cain. It certainly took long enough to paint these pictures and I since I don't plan to redo them, it better be worth the effort
-
Thanks. I found this, while I was following a lead, that LaForge put me on. There are a lot more pics there and some of them will eventually find their way here

Nope, the post he made today Ps: I also got one : this is just too wicked
-
On the first page, the post starts with: Fighters (family 28 ) Fightsd.dat (in DWORDs unless specified) Header: 1,8,28,32 Structure (42): ... ... at the bottom he talks about the heavy bombs. I think it was somewhere in the bytes from 20-31, cause 3 kinds x 3 arcs would be 9 values, not 11

Ok, what if we promise her, that you'll accompany her to a 10-hour non-stop dance marathon ? I'd be willing to promise that anytime

You obviously haven't seen the cartoon series with my avatar DeathSquire: what are your problems with the textures ? Shouldn't be anything I haven't seen and endured so far Just PM me, I'll get an email then.
