ARGH! There's nothing wrong with being what most people call a "hippie" or a "tree hugger" and eating at places like Wild Oats that only serve natural food products that have no pesticides (much less any pests).

I know. Well, I never actually said I believed we were the only planet in our galaxy with life, I simply said (or at least meant to do so or imply so) that I dread we may be the only ones. I actually do believe there is other life in the galaxy . . . but my question is: where?

I'm guessing e-books are STAR WARS books read online, but where do you read them? And how do they tie into the STAR WARS universe? I mean, are they real books and worth as much canon as the novels are (whatever amount that is)?

This sounds like a conceited idea/thread, doesn't it? Well, it was something suggested to me, so here it is. I wasn't quite sure whether to put it here in General Discussion (since it does says that if it doesn't fit elsewhere, but it here) or Outside Interests. So any how, to appease my friend (the one who suggested this): try to guess what SOCL means. And, no, it does not mean Sex Over Crunchy Lamb-chops (so don't guess it, Jahled).

I am SOCL. I haven't met you yet, Elvis, but I've heard quite a bit about you. I may have confused a few people, but I'm quite sure my message got to some people. And I do not got a thing for those damned pigs! But I'm not quite sure about Scath. . . . Again, nice to meet you.

To the original point of this thread (not to insult the conversations that are already in progress): If I'm not listening to the game's own music or some other STAR WARS CD (i.e. soundtracks), then I've got either Linkin Park or (my favorite) System Of A Down blasting! Nothing like hearing: "We don't give a damn about your world!" (sung by Serj) as you destroy a Rebel system with a Death Star! Join the Rebellion and win battles by accident/default, not on your own merits or tactical abilites. Recieve empty promises from your government head, then hear them make excuses because they claim they can't fight a two front war. Then watch your new Republic be torn apart by corrupt politicians who struggle for power and don't give a damn about the government head. Watch as they cause mistrust within your government and have to discuss defense of a planet in a committee as your planet is ransacked by pirates and smugglers. Then when the time to answer for this comes, watch your heads of state make excuses and end up saying this like: "I fought during the Battle of Endor so you must forgive me" or "I watched Alderaan destroyed, so don't whine to me!" JOIN THE REFORMED EMPIRE! Not Ye Olde Empire where the Emperor said: "Do as I say or die!" but instead join an Empire that allows you to choose your government. Watch as we stop all smuggling and pirates from their black-market runs and stop them from stealing your goods. Yes, stormtroopers may have to be stationed on your streetcorners, but they are there to ensure that your children can play safely on the sidewalk without having to worry about a psycho attacking them. Yes, a Star Destroyer or two may be in orbit and it may take an extra minute to clear entrance to the planet, but watch as crime falls and the planet prospers! The Empire shall do all this and more and watch as those who send empty promises to you and act as if their status holds them above the law are brought down to nothing and an honest being replaces them. I AM IMPERIAL TO THE LAST!!!

So how long now until it comes out?

While digging around old threads, I came across this (not sure how old it is since I'm too lazy to go back and look). I, being the environmentalist I am, voted that Jahled is not more important than a tree. But then again, I LOVE trees. I mean, it's not the normal person who asks for a willow tree for his birthday one year; an oak tree the next; and uses a pay check to buy an apple tree, orange tree, and palm tree. Sorry, Jahled, but trees are just too important to our survival on Earth and, ultimately, are . . . well . . . cooler.

Back to the original point to this thread (not to say anything bad about what is being spoken of at this moment): I voted for the STAR WARS galaxy simply because this one seems rather dull considering we still can't leave the planet and go live on another (even though I have yet to see most of the world). I also have this bad feeling that this planet may truly be the only teeming with life in our galaxy and we may be living in a dud galaxy (a point addressed in a STAR WARS story of mine where explorers 100+ years after ANH come into contact with Earth . . . maybe I'll post it). Sorry about that interuption.
