  1. Hey, wormie, when do they come on Cartoon Network? I don't mean the exact time since it'll probably different between us, but what programing period? Adult Swim, perhaps?
  2. I just didn't find them as interesting or good as, say, the Thrawn series, Hand of Thrawn duology, or Darksaber. I just can't stand stories that you can truly tell the "good guys" will win. The X-Wing novels to me simply gave off this " 'good guys' will win, 'bad guys' don't even have a chance" vibe. They were simply uninteresting to me.
  3. That's one of the important points addressed in the story: Palpatine valued Thrawn, but does/did Thrawn value Palpatine? I won't give away what I think about that matter nor what Thrawn does in the my story concerning that matter, so you'll just have to wait until I release the story.
  4. Sorry, Trej, I didn't mean anything offensive, I had just been joking around. But I think your question would be better directed at wormie than myself.
  5. What I meant by my "lost" comment was that I have no idea about the whole Star Trek thing you people were talking about. It might as well be Greek with a French twist to it.
  6. Whoa, really? When? What time? Adult Swim, perhaps? As you've said to me many times, Trej: don't ask.
  7. Well, you are the one who speaks of them the most.
  8. Okay . . . Trej, if you haven't noticed, you're preaching to the choir. I do not disagree with your point and believe that Daala needed some more teaching in the points of overall tactics and strategy. I never said that she was anywhere as good as Thrawn nor meant to suggest such an idea. Daala is the ideal defense tactician (which was probably her specialty considering her duty assignment for most of her career). Along with that, she (IMO) should be used in normal engagements and not involved in the overall strategy or the "big picture", for that is the job of geniuses like Thrawn. The chess analogy was how Zahn described his writing of the Thrawn trilogy, not something I made up. I simply used it to give some flavor to my posts when I spoke of my stories. I never brought any other characters into the chess analogy nor meant to suggest such; I merely used it in the context used by Mr. Zahn.
  9. You certainly have something with Gamorreans. I believe it is you, Trej, who has a thing for Gamorreans.
  10. Do they still come on there?
  11. Quite true. Hey, wormie, reread my above post!
  12. I don't know . . . Daala was REALLY badass to take on the Jedi without a true advantage and still scare the hell out of everyone. Too bad her tactics were too outdated. In my opinion, she just happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. Poor Daala! Lucky for her, she gets A LOT of mercy in my story. If you havent' caught on, during the opening scene in Heir to the Empire, Thrawn pulled A LOT of info from the libraries on Obroa-skai, but not everything he wanted. But the intitial run was only needed for the bits of information he needed for his preliminary plans, the rest would be pulled later and would reveal a secret facility in the Maw and another at Byss. Not only this, but the story also explains some gaps left in the EU: the fate of the Ssi-Ruuvi. My story will also include to VERY fateful encounters: that of Imperial forces with alien invaders from outside the galaxy (I believe you guys know what I'm talking about) and, of course, a VERY faterful encounter with a type of primitive human species living in the outskirts of the Unknown Regions. . . . All thanks to the genius that is Thrawn.
  13. . . . lost. So any how, I decided to keep my HUGE Gimpy avatar for a while and switch-out between it and a few others (two others at the moment) I have in storage.
  14. What? No, I don't . . . ooooohhhh, now I get it (highlighted, ehh? Good trick.). . . . Weird. . . . Maybe it's a joke. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that you can change the color of your words so that it can be hidden from other's view: Kind of like this.
  15. Nevermind the editing of the poll (I should try what I think before opening my mouth/typing my thoughts). I was able to add Iron Fist and Solo Command at the end, but had to sacrafice the "I Hate them!" option. That's okay, though, since if you hate them you should just post so and then, more or less, leave since this insn't exactly the right thread for you, ehh? So, any how, they're out of order, but oh well, the options are there (aswell as the "Never read any of them" option). Phew!
  16. Well, I suppose that two polls would be rather wasteful, but then again, this poll alone is wasteful and inaccurate. Well, there goes that. Any how, if you opt for Solo Command or Iron Fist, go ahead and post such and don't vote anything. If anyone knows how I might be able to edit the poll to add in those two novels, please tell me so that I may. If not, before Scath puts out his "Us" statistics report, I'll do the math and put the percentages up that includes those two novels amongst them.
  17. Quite true. Even so, I'll extend to him the courtesy of asking.
  18. Damnit! Well, I had been wondering when someone would figure it out. I guess I may be forced to change it back to the small Thrawn one . . . or maybe I won't.
  19. Actually, yes, I did and found quite a few copies. Even so, does anyone know a professional store that might possibly sell this game new?
  20. Sorry about the lack of reply to your PM (I think the PM and the e-mail explain it all). I e-mailed you, though! Hey-hey, everyone, I think I finally found someone else who's as into paleontology and dinosaurs as I am! My avatar says it all.

Got your PM, mask. Sorry it took so long to reply (the PM says it all). Out of curiosity, why does it seem like members mention zoot more often than that cat is really around the forums?
  22. Exactly what I was talking about, Trej, Thrawn should have been able to predict the Noghri's betrayl and defection (IMO) and thus in this story I have done what I think should have been done in the novel. Now, I won't explain how Thrawn in my story predicted the incident, but as of now I am still going to leave the whole Skywalker family tree (i.e. Luke and Leia's relation to Vader) out of it. I'm also going to go into a small explanation about the civilization Thrawn had mentioned not understanding. . . . Just one question: exactly how far away is the STAR WARS galaxy in relation to ours (supposing we all exist in the same universal plain, of course)?
  23. Wow! You people sure do know how to throw a great party! I espcially loved the part where we were all called kiddies! It was hillarious! Simply put: EVERYONE CHILL OR ELSE I'LL EXPLAIN THE RANKING SYSTEM AGAIN!
  24. What the hell?! I could have sworn I did! ARGH! I know I put those in! I have this feeling the polls dislike me. . . . Maybe I should discontinue this particular poll and start a new (and better) one. What do you guys think?
  25. Actually, Scath, I was rethinkingyour original post and, at least I don't understand its significance. Out of pure curiosity: what is so significant about it?
