  1. Transmission to SWR command center. "Warlord Scath, this is Fleet Admiral SOCL reporting over the raid on Zoot's palace: We were able to take the palace with no casualties nor incident...well, except for a booby trap of a giant tiger rug, but that's beside the point. We took the palace and searched it, but divulged nothing of great importance...well, that is, except for many, many, many, many bottles of cat-nip.... We are currently airborne and returning to base. SOCL, out." End transmission.
  2. No need to worry, dude, I was at fault for not researching and following my instinct and suspicion.
  3. Well, I'm doing a personal research of how many people from each country we have in these forums. So I made this poll with selection of the countries I have so far seen people from. If you do not fall into any of the selections, tell me so I can add it. Once I run out of room, though, I simply add a "None of the Above" selection where, if you fall under that, can post what country you're from. Now, by asking what country do you hail from, I do not mean where you are native to, but I may where do you currently live (whether you like it or not). Thanks, but don't get political in here unless you're willing to hear/read other's views and ideas, and PLEASE do not impose you and your country's idea and views here as the only way to think, either. Thanks everyone! I live in the United States of America.
  4. 1:02 AM CST, Wednesday, June 4, 2003: -Added more to Part 2 of "Magical Lies" where the Londo Belle naval task force is introduced -The abbrevations of "Magical Lies" has been updated -I'm still looking for a good Samaritan to host my stories -I'm still looking for a better title for "Magical Lies" -I'm still looking for opinions and feedback on the story Taking and modifying a scene or two from another book(s) is, technically, not stealing...is it? Even if I have a disclaimer at the bottom that says the story is based off of history and other stories?... Same applies to names and the such from movies...right? Heir to the Empire is a great book and Timothy Zahn is a great author! Mobile Suit GUNDAM: Char's Counterattack is a great movie and Yoshiyuki Tomino is a great author and director! Don't get what I mean? Read "Magical Lies"!!!
  5. Well, what's an antilli? We need to find one for him since, after all, he is antilliless!
  6. I meant to say it earlier, sorry. Indeed, congratulations on your promotion to Warlord, Trej!

    Fleeting...

Hey, what's with this sudden dissing of SOCL? I mean, I can understand Scath and Trej, but even a newbie who doesn't know about where this whole thing is rooted is dissing on me! WHOA!
  8. I can see it now. . . . BBC news report: An American Naval warship, a cruiser, went rogue today when the ship's captain, a man named S--- O--- C------ L------, delcared the ship the Queen Anne's Revenge and flew the traditional skull and cross-bone pirate flag.... Arrrrrrrr!
  9. German . . . I might have known.
  10. Amen! Hey, what the hell? I thought I wrote that, not Trej? The forums must be haunted...still.... What on earth are you talking about???

Excellent! By the way, Scath, did you check out that URL I gave you?
  12. If you only knew the truth... You're not that far off, Jahled. When I lived on a Naval base in Virginia, one year they used real cannons and the another year they used the cannons of a recently decommissioned battleship (that was the greatest!). Here they use real Howitzer cannons and, last year, they used a real M60A3 Patton tank! This, of course, was all outside, though.... Excellent.
  13. Yeah, it really sucks. I have to see a psychologist/psychiatrist about it every month.
  14. It makes the game more interesting and last longer.
  15. I have that same problem. I also have that problem with sabotage missions. SOCL's Rebellion Imperial Commandos: "Sir, we've found the GenCore," Commando Lacky reports. "Excellent, and without--" Suddenly Commanding-Commando F*ckface notices a lone nerf-herder walk by. "Oh, shit! We've been spotted!" The nerf-herder walks on, clearly without noticing the commandos. "Abort mission! Abort mission!" "But, sir, we haven't truly been 'spotted' yet! I mean, for godd's sake, the nearest garrison is on the opposite side of the planet! We'll be out of here before they can even respond!" Lacky says. "Hey, whose in charge here? Me or you?" F*ckface says sternly. "Well, ah--" "Exactly, we abort!" "But, sir, if you want me to, I can just shoot the herder and we can blow the GenCor--" "I said we are aborting the mission, damnit," F*ckface says in his best immitation of Thrawn's cold voice. Lacky sighes heavily. "For the love of--we ALWAYS abort! Why can't we, for once, complete the mission?!" F*ckface's eyes narrow. "No arguing, Lacky, or you'll be a perminent part of the GenCore!" "Oh, how scary! At least there I know I'll be safe!" The two Commandos leave planet and report in: "Mission foiled by...." SOCL: "DAMNIT!" So, all-in-all, my commandos get there, are never detected but think they are, spend a long time arguing, and return to base to report that dreaded "mission foiled" report.
  16. AMEN! Or as they say in the Army: HOOAH!!! Yes, that great place called home. sigh Oh how I miss Alpha-Nexus Five-Six-Oh-Twelve-Dot-Three-Bee. Indeed.
  17. That's our lot in life . . . well, at least it's mine. Point out and laugh!
  18. I think Trej hit the nail on the head. ...but... Did you mean the DSII here?
  19. Meanwhile, a special reconnaissance team, under the personal command of Fleet Admiral SOCL, had just completed an operational raid of one of Zoot's palaces... http://www.specialoperations.com/Army/Delta_Force/delta.jpg ...the raid had, sadly, divulged nothing.
  20. STOP TALKING GERMAN! . . . please. I want to be part of these conversations...unless I'm not meant to be....
  21. Are these "oldies" still around (maybe some I know), or are they an extinct--well, almost extinct race?
  22. My words exactly!
  23. I, too--sadly--live in the American South ( ) and I have discovered that what causes the strange southern accent is, in fact, blue milk. It's a government conspiracy to turn us all into red-necks.... Let's not get political, less you want me to bust out another explanation.
  24. "General," Socl's even voice came from his chair. "Yes, Admiral?" "General Antilles, have you ever heard of the Imperial Tempest--" "Admiral!" Lieutenant Hammond suddenly protested. Socl's eyes narrowed as he turned his cold gaze on his young aide. "Is there a problem, lieutenant?" Hammond gulped, shaking his head nervously. "N--None, sir." The Imperial fleet admiral held the gaze a handful of heartbeats longer, then turned back to Wedge. "General Antilles, have you ever heard of the Imperial Tempest Special Operations Strike Fleet?" Wedge's forehead creased with obvious thought. "Yes...faintly. A fleet of Carrack-class cruisers and a single Victory-class Star Destroyer created by the Empire at the start of the New Order, but I do not recall it being a strike fleet, much less a special operations fleet." "Ah, yes, that particular fleet is what this that the present one is named after. The Imperial Tempest fleet is made up of four Imperial-class, Mark II Star Destroyers--" A Republic general made a disgusted sound. "Four Star Destroyers? The Yuuzhan Vong have proven far more powerful--" "Peace, general," Socl said sternly, his gaze narrow and glacial. "I may be Imperial, but I am a fleet admiral and I have the floor." He turned back to Wedge. "These particular Star Destroyers are modified for special combat operations. I shall not divulge the technology behind their modifications, but I can guarantee you that just one of these vessels can easily take on an entire fleet of the Vong...and come out victorious." Those present were silent. "As we speak, the flagship is gathering intelligence on Yuuzhan Vong fleet, while another is gathering resources, allies, and over-all intelligence from the planet in the Hantaam system on the edge of the Unknown Regions," Socl says. "General, the Imperial Tempest Strike Fleet is at your disposal, but do not think I will simply hand the fleet over to you. I must be guaranteed than in exchange for the use of this fleet, I shall be allowed to continue commanding it from the flagship and that none of this shall be reported to the Emperor." "Wait a moment, Emperor Evaders does not know of this?" Dury asked in utter surprise. "Yes, we are acting independantly," Socl said quietly. "The Empire does not wish for the Imperial Tempest to engage in direct action with the Vong. They fear losing the fleet and are more concerned with having it ready for defend themselves than put it into offensive action and help the Republic." The fleet admiral sighed heavily, his disgust with the Empire's "dirty little secrets" clearly showing. "No one outside this room is to know that I came here, much less that I have brought the Imperial Tempest from its classified position to assist you." Wedge nodded. "Understood, admiral."
