  2. Good idea, fixed. Just hit ctrl+a to view spoiler content of hacker rumor. Only 30 days to find out if he did it or made it up. I guess the publisher won't legally pursue the matter for at least 30 days or risk confirming that it is legitimate?
  3. Hillary up to more Evildom. http://www.breitbart.tv/html/2042.html Senators Clinton and Boxer want a "legislative fix" to talk radio. They are taking a page of Bush's book and seeking to curve civil liberties and to suppress the free market. Way to go ladies.
  4. This forum needs to implement spoiler tags for postings of this nature but being that I am insensitive to the twits that follow the Harry Potter series, here are the cliff notes on the seventh book. Sourced from - http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2007/Jun/0380.html Hit CTRL+A to view the hidden text in your browser. "Voldemort killed Hermione. Yes, that's true. And we knew that 2 days ago. This is the end of the not yet published (someone could call that 0day) book Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows . At the end of the story Hagrid was killed by Snape in the attempt of ambush Hermione and Ron. Ron and Hermione flees in privet drive but Voldermort, surprising them, engaged a magical duel with Ron and Hermione. Voldemort attacked trough the imperius curse and Hermione, to protect the life of Ron fight hardly for more than 6 pages and then finally die. (boring, very boring... it's always the same story!) Then, to make a long story short, Harry came up, killed all the bad guys and Hogwarts against became a good place to stay and have fun. Ah, i missed one important information about Draco Malfoy, he started to create Horcrux (for fun and profit!). The end."
  5. You can compare to my registry, something may be missing or change between 1.00 and 1.01 patch install. This 1.00 installed via my installer. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC] [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC\Star Wars Rebellion] "InstalledLocation"="C:\\Program Files\\LucasArts\\Star Wars Rebellion\\" "DataLocation"="C:\\Program Files\\LucasArts\\Star Wars Rebellion\\" "DllLocation"="D:\\Rebellion" "TooBigLocation"="D:\\Rebellion" "EXEPath"="C:\\Program Files\\LucasArts\\Star Wars Rebellion\\REBEXE.EXE" "EncyLocation"="C:\\Program Files\\LucasArts\\Star Wars Rebellion\\EData" "MusicVolume"=dword:000002bc "Volume"=dword:000002de "DisplayOpts"=dword:13110100 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\LucasArts Entertainment Company LLC\Star Wars Rebellion\Version] You can see there is an empty Version folder with no key entries, this may change once a patch is installed or from Rebellion CD. Edit: Comparing this extraction to an older release revealed this folder may be non-existent from the CD installer, let me research further. Then of course the directplay portion. Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DirectPlay\Applications\Star Wars Rebellion] "CommandLine"="" "CurrentDirectory"="C:\\Program Files\\LucasArts\\Star Wars Rebellion\\" "Path"="C:\\Program Files\\LucasArts\\Star Wars Rebellion\\" "File"="REBEXE.EXE" "GUID"="{8DEC0D67-DCF5-11d0-AFED-0020AF9D7C7E}" It might also be possible to a create a "switcher" program that would install regular rebellion and reloaded side by side installation folders and then by executing the program could alter the registry keys to activate which version you want to play. I am assuming the rebexe.exe has not been extensively altered and resource paths hacked. Supply me with a pre-public beta files and I may be able to suggest other interoperability methods for the public release.
  6. Dark Helmet: Druish princesses are often attracted to money and power and I have both and you know it...
  7. Keeps those rebels away! http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/a/a8/MrsGarrison.png
  8. Assuming that the registry key identifying the game version is 2.0 or subsequently different from the original game version, this should be compatible and isolated from the original versions within the existing Rebellion game rooms on services such as Gamespy arcarde? Out of the box multiplayer with no hitches might be possible?

  10. I love to totally crush a total n00b like you Tufo, playing the good players is hard work.
  11. She kind of has the puffy hamster look going on... maybe we could add some cheeto dust to her lip? Otherwise, excellent work!
  12. He should work that into a fresh episode of Colbert's Alpha Squad 7... I miss those.
  13. Oh sweet birthday present for me... <-born on the fourth of July... the perfect gift for biggest nagger on the Reloaded forums... *** uninstalls Duke Nukem Forever in anticipation of Reloaded release ***
  14. I usually run FireFox but for the topical consideration of this post I make an exception. Works fine in IE7 on Vista 32bit with AVG Free 7.5 running on my laptop. Going back to FireFox now.
  15. Other thoughts, close as many running program in the task tray as possible. Daemon Tools and some Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware programs are known to interfere with other running applications.
  16. I got lucky playing multiplayer HQ and the first planet I randomly sent a small imperial fleet to in the rim was his HQ, I bombarded and won in under 50 days. I think my shortest multiplayer Standard rules game was in the 230'ish day mark. I was rebels in this game and rushed Coruscant early into the game capturing and went on a subsequent rampage of Swessanna with my a fleet of strong command characters and Luke onboard. He got into a few entanglements with Vader and the Emperor and leveled up to Jedi Knight fairly early in the game. I ended up having Vader and the Emperor captured not too much later. I remember this because my opponent, who was a clan mate at the time, made a big deal of it and accused me of cheating and swearing there was no way that I could have done that. 22,000 days! WTF. Do the characters spawn offspring that far into the game or do they shrivel up and die?
  17. Microsoft updates Directx9 SDK and runtime on a monthly release. Here is the link to the current version, June 2007. Version: 9.19.1005 http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&DisplayLang=en While Vista does ship with DX10, many DX9 games will require the installation of the DX9 runtime. For Rebellion on Vista x86 you will also need to download the d3drm.dll from Windows XP and place in the Rebellion installation directory or alternatively in the /windows/system32 directory.
  18. Yeah, the game is definitely ahead of it's time. It will be enjoyable in about 2 more years on full settings. Even on my desktop with dual core opteron @ 2.5GHz and 7800GS 256MB and 2GB system memory, the game will be very sluggish with huge unit sizes and full armies fighting on both sides. Don't even bother trying to reinforce with a second army, you'll get an error message saying "Reinforcements Delayed? Your computer specs are blah blah blah..." It doesn't take a lot of fill rate because frames per second is not that important, what you do need to play on high settings is a video card with lots of memory, 512+. Combine the various units, the landscape, buildings, texture memory usage is strenuous.
  19. Martha Stewart built her own fortune and got in trouble over some insider stock tips. Paris Hilton is a far step from that, she is an egotistical spoiled brat that never got any discipline as a child and has become a public menace. She needs to serve out her full and reasonable sentence for driving under the influence and for disobeying the court. Let her off this time and she will be back in the paper drunk and in trouble again next week, make her stay the full stint in county lockup and maybe she'll think better of it next time.

  21. Haha... Paris Hilton... back to jail you spoiled rich bitch ass brat "By LINDA DEUTSCH "LOS ANGELES (AP) - Paris Hilton was sent screaming and crying back to jail Friday after a judge ruled that she must serve out her sentence behind bars rather than in the comfort of her Hollywood Hills home. "It's not right!" shouted Hilton, who violated her probation in a reckless driving case. "Mom!" she cried out to her mother." http://apnews.myway.com/article/20070609/D8PKUU100.html http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20070608/capt.23fbc3ba802a4c08815bc89a75068c76.paris_hilton_camw101.jpg
  22. Medieval II has become extremely popular since it's release, in fact an expansion pack is slated for fall 2007 release. 13 new playable factions, north american native indians among those, new regions, 150 new units types on top of an already amazing game. I'll have to dump my school schedule just to have time to play that game as the current campaign mode takes me 72-96 hours of playtime to complete.
  23. Betime the hinds as confused by usual. Mario Bros. Hand Farts!
  24. I'm was referring to the vague ala typical budious forum response.
