OOC: We need to get Antilliles and Mad in here

I would have just used the jet pack and hovered in the air. If someone throws a saber at you or deflects the blaster, it would be easy to dodge. but then again, the good guys must win...feh

Which is your favorite Starfighter? (corrected)
ADarkJedi44 replied to Mad78's topic in General Discussion
Thrawn is....back? I definatly need to get up to date with the new books, the last ones I read was the NJO. Thrawn is definatly my favorite Imperial, you gotta love him. -
OOC: I'll be gone for a few days so.... Evahe looked in disbelief. Those were no Vong fighter craft. Suddenly they had come back and blown up a Star Destroyer?! Now Vong coralskippers would be powerful enough to destroy it in one hit. Not to mention the craft hardly looked organic.... Yet who could they be? Some new strange Imperial craft, something else? Was there another major force in the galaxy? He would have to wait and see, but it would not stop any of his current plans. He had to move forward against the Yuuzhan Vong, or he might have two forces against him. "Put up all of the escape pods," Evahe said sadly. He looked at the wreck of the Star Destroyer, as it spiralled towards its inevitable fate. Whoever it was that did this, they would pay. In time they would indeed pay the ultimate price. The Second Fleet wasn't taking any prisoners. "Then bring us back to Kessel. We need to meet up with the rest of the strike group."

The Guardian and a few ships escorting her moved into the Maw to see that Shelter was under attack. Strange fighter craft were attacking. They had yet to be idenified, and they didn't look Vong. They are odd indeed... Nevertheless Shelter had not been penetrated. It had been rattled up a little bit, but it had held as a whole. However, the orbiting ships were now hulks. The strange fighter craft immediatly backed off as soon as Evahe's ships arrived. They knew to stay would be to die. "Do not pursue, are fighters are not fast enough to intercept them with their huge lead." Evahe took a last look at the fighters, clearly very puzzled. Who were they? Yet at the moment he had greater things to ponder. He needed to insure Shelter was ok. And then....then yes....he would return to his purge.... [larger forces at work]

OOC: Oh please your guys are as green as the grass. They couldn't shot up the four best pilots in the galaxy. Besides it works to distract you. Next time I'll bring all of Green squadron, perhaps with Blue Squadron. Yes A_A and Mad...jump in guys
-
"Green group turn around and move to get out of her. Our job is done." Suddenly the X-wings turned against the TIEs. Both sides fired at each other but due to all of the asteroids, there were no kills. In the general confusion, the three X-wings slipped past the TIEs and into open space. The TIEs came at them as fast as they could but X-wings were quicker. Just in time the three remaining pilots jumped into hyperspace. As Evan slumped down into his seat, he had time to reflect. Three's lose had been terrible, especially after their goal had been acheived. Nevertheless, a Jedi had been secured and the mission could be considered a sucess. OOC: Sorry to pull a short one, but I didn't want to continue to engage you....Or a few of your "pilots" might have "disappeared"...
-
"Green group don't get too thick with them. That Star Destroyer is moving towards are corvette quickly and the Jedi appears to be safe. Make it look like we're going to go into a full engagement, then get out." The four pilots stayed closely together and aproached the TIEs. They split up and took a few potshots, but no one scored any hits. The TIEs manuvered very well, clearly some of the better Imperial pilots. It was almost a relief to Evan to see that not all of the Imperial pilots were like target practice for his pilots. Evan did know his pilots were superior and better equiped. They knew what to do. Green Group sucessfully dodged any enemy fire and then proceeded to break up. One pilot dived against each group of TIEs. The pilots were busy manuvering wildly, yet by sheer luck one got a hit. The TIE itself might need to be scrapped, but the pilot was clearly fine. The TIEs scored a few hits, but the X-wings shields held. All of the Green manuvered well and Evan scored a hit and destroyed a TIE, he spared a glance to see the pilot eject. Then it was over. The Green quickly made a move to get out of the area with the TIEs in hot pursuit....

OOC: Well I'm sure Trej will be mad about Vong dying either way Ok I'll go back to concentrating on the Vong..... IC: The battle of Kessel had gone better than Evahe had hoped. The loss of the Vong fleet would prevent them from launching any assaults in the near future. The GFFA now had to follow up by sowing confusing and attacking the Vong's own planets. A raiding campaign would acheive this goal nicely, and if the ships moved fast enough loses should be minimal. Despite the fact that the battle of Kessel had been completly one sided, casulties among the star fighters had been relativly heavy. The new pilots would need to gain experianced. Also, it couldn't hurt for the Second Fleet to gained more experianced. Considering the Vong defending the planets weren't going to be the best of the best, they'd be outnumbered and surprised, the battles should all be one sided. The Second Fleet was very large, therefore it would be dived into many groups. With diffrent groups causing chaos within the Yuuzhan Vong Empire, they'd be hard pressed to deal with every threat. Then, as soon as the campaign had begun, it would end and the real assaults would begin. [insert nifty comment about larger forces at work here]

OOC: Well you're not killing my Jedi, but I'll try not to wipe you out. Green squadron's first flight flew losely towards the Y-wing. No trouble was anticipated, it just to be an easy escort mission. Indeed, Evan was in a good mood. He had just recived a report from High Command, indicating that they were to upgrade Blue Squadron from Z-95s to X-wings. High Command had been impressed by the X-wings performance and was now moving to acquire more. Add that to the news of the Jedi, and Evan began to think that the Rebellion was begining to turn into a formidable fighting force. The four best pilots in the Rebel Alliance moved towards the Y-wing with the corvette slowly behind them. Supposedly a Jedi was in the Y-wing. If a Jedi indeed would join the Rebels, the results would be far felt. This could be the first step towards winning the war. Suddenly an ISD jumped out of hyperspace. As it moved towards the corvette, a squadron of TIE fighters emerged from the asteroid belt. So much for a routine escort mission.... "Corvette Essex can we get the hell out of here?" OOC: Off to Kenobi...or SM....
-
OOC: Ah ok, of course we could use a Jedi. Evan listened in disbelief. Perhaps he had been overworked and was no longer hearing properly.... "A Jedi? I thought...well I thought they were....wiped out. "Apparantly not sir, the person claiming to be a Jedi has shown me some of his...er....powers and I'm quite sure he's for real." "Well if this is true....a Jedi would be a truely great asset indeed. Where is this Jedi? I'd like to meet him...."

The Guardian came out of hyperspace over Kessel to see the reports had been true. A large force floated over the planet with many smaller craft moving around, most likely to supply the ships. As the massive Second Fleet finished coming out of hyperspace, he was once again confident of victory. "Everyone, shields up and prepare to engage. Launch fighters. Interdictors get your gravity well projecters on line." As the Second Fleet continued to move closer, the Vong slowly realized what was happening. A few ships launched coralskippers and most began moving into a combat ready position. It was of no concern for this day, Evahe knew, they would all die! As hundreds upon hundreds of GFFA fighters launched, they quickly moved and annhihilated any coralskippers in there way. They sortied into the heart of the enemy fleet, denying the Vong coralskippers any chance to get fully organized. Then it was the the Second Fleet's turn. The [/i]Guardian was the first to open fire. A Vong corvette simply disappeared. A pair of gunships ceased to exist. A light cruisers was broken into pieces. The massive super star destroyer moved on. Soon the rest of the Second Fleet joined the fray. Vong ships were blowing up everywhere. The starfighters launched their proton torpedoes at the Yuuzhan Vong ships in the back. More Vong ships were destroyed. The Yuuzhan Vong did fight back, but it was a one sided slaughter. Their coralskippers failed to launch in time and they were distracted with the hundreds of star fighters among them. They thought they were the ones attacking, they were not prepared for vice-versa. Soon they knew their was no hope, but it mattered not. They would not surrender, they were all going to die. And so it continued that way for a little while longer. Evahe was overjoyed as he watched the Vong be destroyed, one by one. Indeed the turning point had come. Now the Vong would be on the defensive. They may be extremly powerful, but that would not last long..... OOC: I Have to give the Vong a few more painful defeats. Hopefully Trej won't care.......

OOC: Doesn't matter just jump in! lol
-
Lol He killed himself basically 10 SSDs at 470? I'd hate to see whta it's like at day 1000, you're in for quite a game I imagine
-
OOC: Stellar where the heck are you? I'm on board the Guardian about to attack the Vong at Kessel...and you're...wha?
-
Evahe looked over the report. The Light Mon Calamari Cruiser New Cov had been ambushed and destroyed by an unknown force, probably Vong, while attempting to join the Second Fleet. The loss filled him with sorrow, but he could not dwell on the past. He needed to change the future, and at last an opportunity had arisen. A Yuuzhan Vong fleet had begun massing at Kessel, most likely to strike Mon Calamari. If Mon Calamari fell, the GFFA might fall apart and the galaxy would be the Vong's to rule. Evahe had no intention of letting that happen. The Second fleet was prepared to strike the blow that would lead the GFFA on the path to victory. The entire Yuuzhan Vong fleet had yet to arrive and the ships were extremly vulnerable. The Vong did not think the GFFA had enough strength to launch an assault of that magnitude after so many defeats. The Second fleet had been trained and slowly formed over the months since the fall of Coruscant. It was specifically designed for the job. The men knew that one day soon they would off to strike a blow to avenge the hundreds of billions who had perished. Grand Admiral Evahe Litok knew all this as he prepared for the operation briefing. He knew his men would not fail him. The turning point had come, but there was a lot Evahe did not know. Many other forces were at work. The turning point may come, but in which direction would it turn?

I really doubt the Vong would have lasted long against the Empire. Experiance, Vong surprises, whatever it hardly would matter. Just send a few hundred Star Destroyers. Problem solved!

They're awsome...The exp packs are just great when used properly and killing a tank with a mine is always fun -

Medics are pretty well armed. I really like healing myself Engineers, however, rock. Exp packs and mines are killer. One shot kill on any vehicle...thats cold and expack can kill anyone easily -

I mainly like medics, although I'm starting to like engineer a lot. I find sniper kind of boring... -

Who thinks Lord of the Ring is the best film ever made?
ADarkJedi44 replied to NIIIC's topic in Outside Interests
I find it hard that one continent can be deeper than an entire galaxy.... The thing is, in all LOTR the idea is similar. In Star Wars every book seems to be about very diffrent things... -
Which is the best team (Imp or Reb) to start Rebellion with?
ADarkJedi44 replied to NIIIC's topic in General Discussion
I'm sure you can avoid making it too easy. For some reason I've been playing no Rebellion and all BF 1942 recently....
