It's always slow for e, but when so many people share the same line in one building it's hardly surprising. At the moment I'm not scared to post on the basis that If i post something inapproriate I will be informed and asked not to do it again. And I won't. Until then, I shall carry on, with perhaps just a little more restraint than before.

I work for the Asylum Screening Unit (ASU) in the Home Office. Basically when an asylum seeker first comes to the UK, this is where they come to start their application. ASU screens them, gathering all sorts of info about family where they came from why they came age etc etc. We also decide whether or not they get any benefits whilst they weait to hear if they've got asylum. I work on the Management And Training Section (MATS) ensuring that all of our 200 odd staff have had the relevant training. It's very boring. But with the War and SARS it's getting very busy.

Sure some threads last longer than other, but really you can't expect them to last for anything over a month at the most. No, can't agree with you there mate. I see them popping up quite a bit, though not necessarily posting all that much, mainly I suspect, because they're moderating, i.e. reading through all the junk we post and m,aking sure it's not too outrageous!!! Let's face it, there isn't a better site out there, so we're going to have to work within the constraints that the owners/moderators that run the site. And be polite about it.

Well, I'm not sure where this is best to go, so feel free to move it moderators. Okay, I found out today that .dll stands for Dynamic Link Library. That's it. That's the extent of my knowledge. Those of you with more knowedge feel free to pontificate the marvels of said files to the astonishment of us lesser mortals/Vong.
