I'm not sure i'd want something like Oblivion to be an MMORPG, it's nice to have a game that i can play by myself without other people running around it. There's a lot to be said for MMORPG's and their social aspect, but sometimes i like to play alone.

Yeah but it's a flat fee for the system, not for each game. I pay annually anyway so it's even less. What i object to is every individual game being paid for on a monthly basis.

Because the clever developer that converted the falt two years ago forgot to put in a phone line, i've ended up with BT, otherwise it was going to cost over £200. Still i do get their funky router thing they have in the adverts!

MMORPG is such a weird acronym. I mean, how can something be massively multiplayer if it's not online?!? Sounds good though. But i only play online games that are free, so Xbox Live or Guild Wars then!

I find money to be a wonderful excuse for not drinking! The UK,and london in particular, does not really do cheap alcohol, at least not in pubs and clubs. I just don't enjoy feeling drunk.

I'm moving house tomorrow. I'll be working again on saturday, so that is the next time i'll be on here. Anyone that thinks i've abondoned you, you've been warned!!! On a serious note, aimed more at uk users. Who the heck shall i get as my new broadband provider? Or shall i get a package deal with Virgin or Tiscali?

I'm impressed by the proportion who don't really drink. Which includes me these days. I probably only have 2 units a week these days.

Just going back to the TIE fighter issue... i have a theory... Space is a big place yeah? So why have hyperdrive equipped fighters at all?!? You've got a Star Destroyer to carry and refuel them in much greater levels of comfort, so they can maintain focus. Using the WWII analogy - most fighters were short range jobs, far more of them than the P51 Mustangs with drop tanks. Fighters aren't supposed to be long range ships. That's why you have capital ships. Thus the Imperials are well justified in not bothering with hyperdrives - adding more mass, when they have a perfectly good fleet of ships that can carry them. The Rebellion however doesn't have too many capital ships, so is justified in having hyperdrive equipped ships. Hope that makes some sort of sense, it does in my head!

I quite enjoyed that trailer... X-Wing as a series could be good... the adventures of Corran Horn would be good... or perhaps a Wraith Squadron series would be better, a bit more diverse and culturally inclusive in today's political climate... or have i been thinking too much?!?

This does raise a question though. Without going crazy on the editing side of things, maybe we should come up with a 'standard' setting for RebEd, effectively a 'Hardcore' mode, i got the idea from a game type we play in Halo 3 that makes it much more... challenging...

I have a 360 and play online a fair bit, especially Halo 3. This is a thread for people to sort out gamertags, if they want to play online with other site members. I know we can do it for 360. Not too sure but maybe Wii and PS3 are similar?

I have mainly been enjoying time spent with Oblivion recently, on my 360. That and Halo 3. Incidentally, if you want to play on xbox live, my gamertag is my username, so if you just about know me from on here, feel free to add me, with a message telling me who you are on here! In fact, that gives me an idea for a thread...

Yes indeed. Just ordered the fourth book via Amazon, hopefully it'll be here on wednesday, so should have it read by... friday evening i reckon.

I love it, cos there's just that little bit of knowing humour in it. "Don't worry, Han shot first" I love reading a book when it just throws something in that makes you chuckle. Finally managed to get me a paperback copy.
